Jaehyun turns his back to me and lifts his shirt slightly. My eyes automatically widens – what is he going to do? Then something catches my eye. There is a tiny black clover – the size of my fingernail – right above his waistline. It contrasts sharply with his white skin.

He lowers his shirt and turns back around to face me. His face looks dead serious. “It’s a rule in my gang that whoever sees this must be dead within 24 hours.”

But dodgeball… I involuntarily shudder. I hate anything that had to do with balls. After being hit in the jaw with a basketball, hit in the stomach by a soccerball, hit in the cheek by a tennis ball, and hit on the waist by a baseball, I am not that fond of games having to do with balls. Dodgeball is the absolute worst; people actually try to hit you with the ball.

When he is right in front of me, I look up and glare at him with as much strength as I can muster. “I trusted you,” I state. A tinge of grief coats my voice. I know my weakness with trusting pretty much anyone would get me in dire danger. Like now: my life is on the line.
