Chapter 3
FATED
Mijoo's POV
'Are you sure you didn't see my necklace at all?' I asked the members while still searching for my necklace at every coner of the dorm for the past two days.
'Oh my gosh, Mijoo. Stop asking the same question and for the hundredth times, no we didn't,' Jiae said with a hint of frustration.
'Maybe you drop it or misplace it somewhere. You can always get a new one. Anyway, we have to leave for the performance tonight. Manager is already waiting for us,' Babysoul said.
I was internally rolling my eyes when Babysoul told me that I should get a new necklace. Does she not remember how important that necklace is to me? That beautiful thing is a gift from my parent after I became a trainee and I cherish it a lot. It was a lucky charm to me but now I have lost it, great. Guess I have to find it again after we finished the performance since I have to leave the dorm now.
We arrived at the location and went straight to our waiting room. Not long after we enter, we were told to go to the stage for the rehearsals. We went to the stage area and saw the other groups there, preparing for the rehearsal. The first person I took notice of was Mark as he was waving to me with a huge smile on his face. I walked towards him with a smile plastered on my face. He seems really happy to see me, I guess. Does he miss seeing me or something as he is grinning like an idiot right now.
'Hey, why are you looking like this? Being happy and ecstatic,' I asked Mark curiously.
'Because I can get to see you,' he answered, looking straight into my eyes. I blushed unknowingly when he said that.
'Um, by the way,' I said, trying to shake off the embarrassment I am feeling. 'Have you seen any necklace in the practice room before you left?' I was hoping that he has it but he just replied that he hasn't seen anything while avoiding eye contact. He was stuttering as well, strange.
I raised one of my eyebrows, giving him the 'really' look but he was just pretending to be oblivious about it. I was about to question him further when the choreographers, Jade and Ken, came to the stage. We begin to rehearse the dance. I was still distracted about the whole necklace issues and Mark being very weird. I kept my feelings aside for now and concentrate on the dance.
Mark's POV
Now it's the time to show her the necklace, Mark. We have this part where once we spin, we have to face each other so I decided to give Mijoo a surprise by showing her the necklace during that part.
Once we were about to face each other, I immediately took out the necklace from my pocket, here I go. I showed her and I was expecting to see her relieved but most importantly, her smile. But my expectations were soon thrown away as I saw Mijoo looking somewhat piss and not satisfied at all. Crap, did I do something wrong?
After the rehearsal was done, Mijoo grab my arm and drag me to Lovelyz's waiting room. She locked the door, wanting some privacy. She then look at me, eyes that I can't seem to read.
