It started with a slap
One more day to go, thought Yuri, one more day until the confrence.
Staying in the dorms annoys Yuri. Siwon apparently haven't gotten over Yuri leaving without premission. He didn't yell at her, he ignored her existance. Competely. One afternoon, she told him she won't leave his room unless he talks to her and he changed right in front of her eyes. Don't let your imagination go wild, she fled the room before he started on his lower half. And Yoona didn't visit her again even though she promised Yuri she will. Boring boring boring!
"Can I change the channel?" Sungmin asked, he,Yuri and Donghae sat in the living room watching TV. Yuri wasn't paying attention and by the look on Donghae's voice, he wasn't paying attention either.
"I wasn't watching anyways," Yuri said, handing him the remote.
"Urgh!" Donghae groaned, who sat next to Yuri,sighed."urgh!"
"Donghae-ssi, What's wrong?" she asked
"Nothing", he said, clearly lying.
"How's Yoona?" Yuri asked
He looked at her as if she had just killed his son.
"Don't.Ever.Say.Her.Name.In.Front.Of.Me" he growled, eyes shining with rage.
Yuri looked offended." I was just wondering if you--"
"Shut up!" he snapped and ran upstairs.
Yuri felt embarassed and annoyed.She was just trying to help. She made a mental note to stay out of Donghae's way for the rest of her stay.
"Don't take it too hard," Sungmin said, "He had a fight with Yoona"
"That's horrible!" Yuri said, feeling guilty
"Oh don't worry about it. They always fight." Yesung laughed
"Ha?"
Is he REALLY joking right now?
"Donghae is like that. Very protective of her, you know. And Yoona is a bit light-headed. She's really innocent when it comes to love. Somebody could her with her knowing." Yuri glared at him, "Donghae saw one of the guys of 2PM putting his hand around Yoona's shoulder so he got mad. He fought with the guy" Yuri's eyes widened, "It wasn't serious. Men fight all the time hahaha anyways, Yoona got really upset and called him a starfish!" He started to laugh again
Am I missing something here?
"I know, it's weird. But Donghae looked up 'starfishes' when he got home, it turned out, they don't have brains!"
Yuri pressed her lips together to keep from laughing. She didn't want to be mean and laugh at her friend's problems. Right, friends, Yuri thought, Even though I had hard time here, I will miss all of these people.Tommorow, I will tell Korea nothing is between me and Siwon. Today is my list day here. Yuri sighed
"Sungmin Oppa, Are you dating too?" Yuri asked
Sungmin's face flushed in light pink. Yuri laughed.
"Who?" she asked, curious
"It's a secret", he said, "But I'll tell you, so promise to not tell anyone. okay?"
"promise"
"It's...Sunny" he whispered
Yuri smiled. Sunny, she thought, I wish I could meet her and the other girls of SNSD...
"I thought you're not alowed to date," Yuri said
"Publically, No" Sungmin said,now frowning, "We're alowed to date as long as it's a secret. But if a scandal breaks out, we're forced to break up...even if that person is the most important thing in your life"
How many of them broke up because of this?, Yuri wondered. SM is definetly strict, then something hit her.
"By any chance, Did Jessica have a smiliar...case?"
She didn't know how to say it without sounding nosey.
"Well..." he started, scratching his head nervously
He doesn't want to say. So it means I'm right. Poor Jessica.
"Fine. I'll tell you but you have to keep it a secret." Sungmin sighed
"Okay" Yuri promised
"Jessica and Jay. Yes the one that left 2PM. used to date but then a scandal broke out. Our Chariman told her that she have to break up with him, it's a rule in our company. She wanted to protect his dream and her members. She knew it would be hard to tell Jay to break up just because of the Chairman's order. So when he left for the U.S she took the chance and broke up with him" Sungmin said
"But he's in Korea now" Yuri said, thoughtful
"That's why she's suffering...espacially because..." he trailed off, " because he recently picked Yoona as his favorite SNSD member. She tried to talk to him but...."
"He ignored her?"
"worse. He still talked to her but formally, ignoring everything that they had. He laughed and greeted her the way he would greet a Sunbae not an ex."
"That's terrible" Yuri said and it was.
She imagined Jessica, shocked to see him. imagined Jay walking to her then saying something like "hello Sunbae". She imagined Jessica watching him talking to other idols.
"It mus hurt" Yuri said
"It did" Sungmin concluded
"Love it...painful" Yuri said, more to herself than to Sungmin.
"And Beautiful too" Sungmin added.
Yuri looked at him, startled and a little accusingly.
"Beautiful" she agreed, "Only it's beauty is temporary" She said it and hurried to her room before he could say anything.
