Chapter 16 - An Icy Past pt. 1

Six guys stared at the broken red car, steaming and smoking due to the crash to the now tilting light pole.

"Way to go, genius. You just had to to take the wheel and crash into a pole," Kris muttered at a guilty looking Tao.

"Well, you were going the wrong way! I had to take the wheel," Tao reasoned. 

"Tao," Minseok grabbed the tall male by the neck, "You crashed my car into a light pole, and you dare blame this on Kris?"

Tao dramatically choked as he wrapped his fingers on Minseok's wrist, "I-I was trying to get us in the right direction--akh!" his tongue went out of his mouth as Minseok gripped tighter.

"Self defense is not doing you any good, Tao," Luhan chuckled with his arms crossed over his chest. 

Yixing covered himself tighter with his coat, huffing steam out of his mouth, "It's getting really cold, we won't make it if we walk back to our apartment," 

Tao released Minseok's hands off his neck with the help of Kris pulling Minseok off him, "What about calling for a cab?"

Luhan looked around the sky which dropped down snow, "I don't think taxis pass around this area, especially in this kind of weather. We're not in the main road or busy road, so we won't find one unless we call for one,"

"Hold on, I'll call for one," Jongdae raised his hand before pulling out his phone, using his shivering fingers to dial a cab to no avail. "No bars!"

Instead of screaming in panic, the boys silenced themselves as if somebody unplugged their life plug of sorts--this is called having a mental break down.

"Wait," Jongdae narrowed his eyes as he put on his hoodie to cover himself from the snow that starts to fall rather heavily. "I know this area--Kris! We know this area!" Jongdae exclaimed as he grabbed on Kris' shoulder. Kris frowned before looking around his surroundings as he covered his face with his scarf to protect his face from the harsh, snowy wind. "I don't remember walking around this area," Kris shrugged. "How could you not? Ji Eun lives around these parts!" Jongdae's words made Kris and the others widen their eyes. "You mean that short girl that hates Kris so much?" Tao started bursting in laughter. "Well, she did love him before," Jongdae crossed his arms, giving a look at the tall male by the name of Kris. "Then we're going to her house, she's our only hope for survival," Minseok exhaled warm air to his freezing hands. 

"NO!" both Luhan and Kris scowled, surprising everybody. 

"Why not? We're going to freeze to death!" Tao scowled back at them. "First of all--I hate her," Luhan muttered. "Second--she's Kris' ex-girlfriend," Luhan pointed at a nodding Kris, agreeing to his words. "Third of all-- I hate her! She accused my girlfriend of cheating with Kris!" he ended with a yell. "Don't you mean, ex-girlfriend?" Yixing chuckled. "Don't start with me, Yixing," Luhan glared at him. "Well, Ji Eun wasnt wrong. Your girlfriend did cheat on you with Kris, just as how Kris cheated on her with your ex!" Yixing stated casually with a smile, as if Kris and Luhan were alright with this particular incident. "Hey, I was just standing there, okay? She was the one who started coming and seducing me, just saying," Kris held his hands up in the air to feign innocence. "Well, can't blame Luhan if he's not a man enough for his ex," Jongdae sneered. "Excuse me?! Did you--"

"SHUT UP!" Minseok suddenly bursted with a loud yell, and even that yell was dulled with the harsh snow dropping down. "If you guys aren't so busy arguing over who cheated on who, would you look up the sky and see that a blizzard is coming ahead?!" Minseok yelled at them in a shivering state. "We are going to Ji Eun's, now!"

This was how those six boys managed to trudge over to Ji Eun's cafe, and got rejected at the front door. 

"Please let us in!" Jongdae knocked at the door shamelessly. 

"I told you! She's not going to let us in!" Luhan had to yell since the sound of the wind was so loud. "Forget it! We should have just stayed inside Minseok's car!"

"Ji Eun! Open the door!" Minseok who was freezing the most yelled with all his might. 

"Well, is cheating on someone looking good for you?" Yixing murmured over to Kris. 

"Shut up, I did not cheat on her," Kris retorted, still stubborn as ever. 

After what seems to be forever, the door was suddenly open again, as if heaven's door being opened for all God's children to come in for Salvation. "Jongdae, get inside," Ji Eun reached her hand out and pulled in Jongdae before closing the door on their five faces. "Did she just leave us outside?!" Minseok shrieked. "We're goners, we're gonna die for good!" Tao started surrendering his life.

"Oh, I thought I was going to freeze outside!" Jongdae almost melted from the warm temperature encased inside the cafe. "What about them?!" Eun Ji pointed at the door. "Let them freeze themselves like how they freezed my heart!" Ji Eun yelled before pulling Jongdae up the stairs, attempting to defrost the male in front of the fire place. The boys scowled, "... Is she having her period? Just asking," Jongin asked. Eun Ji rolled her eyes and groaned before opening the door, letting the rest of the five enter the house. "Why do I have the strangest feelings that we've met them before?" Suho mumbled to himself. 

"Eun Ji, I love you! You saved our lives!" Tao lunged himself on he gal before Joo Hyuk stepped up and pushed the guy away, "Get your hands off my girl, douche bag," he pulled Eun Ji away and into his arms. "Are all of you the same? Having the tendency to touch somebody's lover?" Joo Hyuk spat, but his eyes were darting at a certain deer. "If you don't know anything, then shut up," Luhan hissed at him. "Then please, get out of our cafe!" Joo Hyuk put Eun Ji behind him before attempting bump his chest against Luhan's. When the boys started heating up, Eun Ji, Chanyeol and the others breaked inside the fight and got in between them.

"Whoa, whoa! Take it easy!" Baekhyun yelled as he pushed Joo Hyuk and Luhan off each other. 

"Stop it!" Chanyeol told Joo Hyuk as he tried to hold the guy away. 

"He started it!" Luhan tried to get Sehun's hands off him. 

"What are you guys trying to do in someone else's house?" Kyungsoo sighed, patting Eun Ji's back to calm her down.

"We didn't let you guys in to cause a fight here!" Eun Ji yelled at them. 

"Your beloved lover started it, idiot," Kris muttered. 

"Don't you call her names!" Joo Hyul almost lunge
