Chapter 9

Later that night, Youngmin looked at Kwangmin as he packed their things to get ready to leave the next morning. He noticed that Kwangmin had began to keep his distance from him, it pained him to see this from his brother,

“Kwangmin, why are you avoiding me?” He wondered as he stepped toward his brother. The younger flinched and began to back away. Youngmin grabbed his brother’s hand before he could back away any further.

“What’s gotten into you?” He could feel his brother writing his answer,

“I don’t want to hurt you, hyung. I almost…I don’t want to hurt you…” Youngmin knew that this entire thing scared him, he didn’t understand what happened when it first occurred, but now that it happened again he felt terrified. He felt as if this big hand was closing around him slowly and soon not even Youngmin would be able to bring him back to consciousness. Youngmin lifted his brother’s chin,

“Kwangmin, I will always be there to pull you out from the dark one’s grasp, I promise you.” The younger looked at his brother; he wasn’t sure how long it would be until Youngmin would not be able to help him, until his nightmare would truly become his reality. Youngmin embraced his brother tightly,

“I will not let the dark one take you away from me, Kwangmin.” At this, Kwangmin registered something in Youngmin’s voice that was new and unlike the usual Youngmin; possessiveness. Kwangmin pulled back to see a new emotion within Youngmin’s eyes, a , different kind of affection and this made him smile. Youngmin brought his brother in for another embrace to which he returned.

I can trust my brother, no matter what. He thought to himself as he clutched onto his brother’s shirt. Youngmin smiled once more,

“Let’s head to bed.” He told the younger. Kwangmin nodded and led the older to bed.

The next morning, the brothers finished packing and headed for the town gate. Once they were there Kwangmin looked at his brother, taking his hand and wrote on his palm,

“Where are we going to go next?” Youngmin sighed, he wasn’t sure, they got the supplies that they needed, but he was having such a good time with Minwoo, that he forgot to ask about the purification stone,

“Maybe find another temple to stay at; this town didn’t give us a lot of information about the stone.” Kwangmin nodded,

“Sorry.” He wrote on his palm. Youngmin looked at his brother and smiled,

“Will you stop apologizing already?” They were beginning to leave when a voice yelled out, “wait, and hold on!” The twins turned around to see Minwoo run up to them. He looked different some how. The dark clothes that he usually wore were replaced by a bright t-shirt and a pair of matching pants and shoes. He also wore a bag slung around his shoulder.

“Are you going some where?” Youngmin asked. Minwoo nodded a smile on his features,

“I was hoping to go with you.” The twins looked at each other. Minwoo continued,

“I know I’m probably not the person that you’d want with you, but I went out of line yesterday and wanted to apologize. I wanted to help you find what you’re looking for.” Youngmin looked at his brother who looked at Minwoo with a cold stare; he wasn’t ready to trust Minwoo, not after yesterday. Youngmin, though, had a gut feeling that he should give Minwoo another chance,

“Alright, this is your last chance.” He said to the younger. Minwoo nodded,

“Right, thank you hyung.”

Meanwhile, the dark one noticed a small speck of darkness that was triggered by Kwangmin,

“hm, what’s this?” he said in an interested tone of voice. Smirking, he said to himself,

“Someone else has joined them and it looks like Kwangmin’s jealous.” This made the dark one amused,

“Let’s fuel the jealousy, shall we?” He said chuckling to himself, eyes shining with a dark intent.

I have been writing the chapter bit by bit and I have finished it so here it is!
