how is it that his lips can feel so warm, but his eyes feel so cold?

this person in front of me, how is it that an aura of warmth can come off of him when his eyes feel so dead?

Cafe in Seoul- present

a young man sits alone at a table in a small cafe, unnoticed by other customers. eyes staring out a window, red and still puffy, he stares at the outside world, busy and unyielding, no matter how much he willed it, he could never make the world stop its course, nor can he make it rewind, to go back to the time where she was still alive....

as he continues to stare out the window another man enters, slightly older than the former, as he takes the younger man's appearance his brows furrow, stone eyes soften.....

"Sanghyun"

"ah, hyung you're here" the other replies, his voice a soft whisper, barely there to be acknowledged

"why'd you call me?"

"i have some news.....about her"

the other man sits in the chair in front of the younger, "what did you find out?"

hesistant to say the words that would make his hyung crumble, the young man again turns to the window

"Sanghyun, tell me. i need to know."

*sigh* "hyung, have you ever considered that maybe there's a greater reason as to why she's been gone?"

"what do you mean?"

"i mean, have you considered that maybe something happened to her? like how maybe she was....was damaged?"

"damaged? Sanghyun, what are you talking about? can't you just get to the point?"

"have you ever considered that she's- that she's really gone? like permanently?"

"permanently? you mean like, like dead?" the other replies, saying the words as if it burned his whole being

"yes, hyung. have you considered that?"

"yes, i have. but i have faith. i believe she's still out there, waiting to come back home, to me, to you, to us."

"........"

"Sanghyun, what did you find out?"

"........"

"Sanghyun"

"............hyung,........noona's gone..........."

".......what do you mean gone, we all know she's gone, she disappeared remember?" he bitterly chuckles, feeling nervous all of a sudden

"no hyung, i mean it. noona, she's....she's dead."

"hyung, calm down, please, you need to listen......."

"no, Sanghyun, i won't listen if all you're going to tell me is this bulls**t. she's alive."

slowly Sanghyun slips a photo on the table

*turning his gaze to the picture* "Dara.....Sanghyun, you found her?"

*shaking his head* "no, the people, those kids and their father found me, they were the ones who found her......"

"where are they? where is she? is she at your house?" excitement was evident in his voice

"hyung, no, she isn't"

"Sanghyun!" getting impatient he grabs the other man's collar "will please stop this?! tell me where she is!"

"she's gone. hyung she's gone" Sanghyun responds. tears slowly falling from his eyes as he looks at his hyung

"...........no."

"she's dead hyung."

"no."

"hyung."

"no." he says as he turns to leave the weeping boy

"hyung, im sorry TOP hyung........"
