*Chapter 25
Something Behind That Cold Heart
“I like it here.” Yeonrin said as he sighs. “It’s peaceful.”
“Should we come often here?” L.Joe asks earning a nod from her making him chuckle. “Alright then.”
The two of them are sitting side by side while Yeonrin’s head were on L.Joe’s shoulder. “I’m sorry for what happened to your mother.”
Yeonrin blinks but shrug wanting L.Joe to know that it’s nothing. “It’s not your fault and it happened when I was young.”
“But you’re still not use to it.” L.Joe pointed out.
Yeonrin shrug. “I’m working on that though.”
“Don’t worry. I’m not gonna hurt or leave you.”
Something is telling Yeonrin that she shouldn’t believe those promises but she told herself that it is the last time. “Promise?”
“Promise.”
Yeonrin smiled, a contented one, as her gaze went to the view in front of her. Being with L.Joe makes her heart calm although the thoughts of her father beating her again makes her nervous.
That night, at Infinite’s place, the six of them were in their living room, waiting for Woohyun. They are doing their own thing like talking to each other like Sungyeol and Sungjong, listening to music and just keeping quiet on a corner like L, reading a magazine like Hoya and Dongwoo and thinking really hard like their leader, Sunggyu.
Just then the door opened revealing an exhausted Woohyun.
