He Found the Lost Lover
He May Be the OneKim Hyun Joong paces through the boardwalk. Scanning each location he walks by. Suddenly, he feels something. The restaurant. The one that is so busy yet empty at the same time. People are going out, but none coming in at the same time. Closing time is near.
He looks in. Nothing in particular catches his eye. He starts walking but soon stops. Something is telling him to walk back and go in. He decides to do so.
He looks around. Scans the area. No one.
“Excuse me, young man. May I help you?” an ahjumma asks.
“Um, no I…” he says still scanning the room. His eyes widen. He found what he has been looking for.
Her. She is sitting on the other side of the restaurant.
“Sir?” the ahjumma says.
“Oh, I’m here to see a friend,” he tells her.
“Well, go find your friend,” she says before she walks away. “Hyun Ki! Please, bring this to that lovely girl over there,” she says as she point at the woman Kim Hyun Joong has been searching for.
“Yeh,” an ahjussi says before grabbing a platter of yakgwa.
Kim Hyun Joong walks over and stops the ahjusssi. “Ahjussi, may I bring this to that table?” he asks him, “she is a friend of mine.”
“Um, yeh,” the ahjussi says as he hand over the platter.
He walks over to the woman. He feels the nerves rising from his body. That woman. The woman he has been anticipating throughout his whole vacation. Ever since he first laid eyes on her on that magical night, the night of the ball, he hasn’t been able to stop thinking of her. Why he wanted to meet her so badly? He did not know. The only thing he knew was that on that day. He would finally get his wish.
He taps on the woman’s shoulder. “You’re yakgwa is here.”
She turns. “Gamsahabnida.”
Their eyes meet. Their eyes widen.
“What are you doing here?” he asks her.
