Chapter 12
Game Plan
The next day time couldn't pass any slower, and I had been practising in the club room for hours to pass time.
The teacher came in and slammed the door shut. "Seung Gi, your skills have improved," She smiled.
"Uh.. thanks?"
"It would be a good opportunity for you to use it on other aspects rather than just playing it for leisure."
"Huh?"
The teacher gave a warming smile. "It would be an honour for the drama club to have you as a talent. The head in charge of the drama club had requested for you to perform for their upcoming show."
"W-what? Are you sure?" I stuttered. Why would anyone want me to perform? I had just picked up on playing the piano, I wasn't that ready to perform on stage yet. The thought frightened me.
But before I could say anything else, the teacher left. I sighed. This was no big deal, compared to what I might face next. Which could possibly be death. I looked at the clock. 6 pm. I had one more hour.
I slowly got up and walked towards my fate.
The crisp, damp smell of the forest filled my nose. The leaves crunched under my shoe. Only there wasn't just my footsteps.
I took in a deep breath. There was someone else here, even though the scent was faint. The person was quite far away. Could it be Min-woo? No way. It was still early.
I turned, but there was no one in sight. There was a sigh of defeat as a figure slowly stepped out from the shadows.
"Minho?" I gasped. "What are you doing here? Were you following me?"
"You were acting weird this morning. And then when Min-ah touched you, she said you would be in danger if you came here. There was no way to stop you, so we came here." Minho said softly, but I could hear his words crystal clear.
"Min-ah's here too?" But how did Minho know about what Min-ah could do?
"No. She went to bring your family and Hyun-bin. And she told me everything." Minho confessed.
"What?! Why would she do such a thing??" I freaked out, appearing beside Minho and shook his shoulders desperately. Why would she tell a human about this? Was she out of her mind?
"You haven't noticed, but.. I'm a witch."
"If you die, it's not my fault." I said angrily as I trudged up the rocky hills.
"Like I said, with me, you'll be safe. Min-woo won't be able to hurt you. And Hyun-bin needs a heart to heart talk with him, man. You can't take that away from him."
I paused. "Witches.. they really exist?"
"Want me to show you?" Minho raised his arm, but a rustling of leaves stopped him in his tracks. He quickly hid behind a tree.
Min-woo appeared from the trees, his face partially hidden from the shadows. "You're here," He smirked.
"You made the right choice," Min-woo said as he raised his right hand.
Something wasn't right. I frowned. Every word he said sounded faintly familiar.
Suddenly, about 20 figures jumped out from the shadows. My eyes widened. That was when I knew everything wasn't a coincidence. Everything
