Chapter 27
Game Plan
I headed to my bedroom, only to see my bed and clothes all strewn across the floor. Everything was a mess.
"Oh, no," Min-ah whispered beside me. There was a large dent in the wall, and it couldn't have been made by a mere human.
"Min-ah. I think we're in trouble," I croaked, pointing to the large, ugly handwritings on the wall in my bedroom.
The words: I have come for you. You cannot hide forever. Were scrawled over the walls in thick, red blood.
Just then, a strangled cry could be heard from the living room.
We quickly flew down, Min-ah a few steps faster than me.
Halabeoji was lying sprawled on the floor, spewing blood from his mouth. "Oh!! Halabeoji!" Min-ah cried, helping him up. An arrow was shot into his stomach, blood leaking like a waterfall.
Min-ah slowly took it out, wincing as halabeoji groaned in pain. She quickly bit her skin and gave him some of her blood.
I watched as his wound slowly healed. Then I turned around, only to see Jong-suk aiming his bow at halabeoji. Hyo Joo was clutching onto his arm.
"Jong-suk! What are you doing? Put that down," I instructed.
He eyed me cautiously. "They broke into the house! Look at our house! It's in a chaos!"
"We didn't break in! It was already like this when we came!" Min-ah insisted.
Jong-suk aimed at Min-ah. "That vampire..." He muttered.
Just as he pressed the trigger, I jumped forward, shielding Min-ah. I felt a peircing pain in my right shoulder. I winced, tumbling onto the wooden floorboards.
"Seung Gi!!" I heard Min-ah, Jong-suk and Hyo Joo cry at the same time.
"I'm so sorry, Seung Gi," Jong-suk said, trying to pry the arrow off me. "A-are you ok?" Hyo Joo asked, hand over .
Min-ah helped clutched my hand, but Jong-suk slapped her hand away. "Yah, I told you not to associate with vampires already."
I massaged my shoulder a little, then grabbed Jong-suk's collar. Hyo Joo tried to stop me, but I ignored her.
"Listen," I gritted my teeth, glaring holes into Jong-suk's eyes. "Don't you dare do that to Min-ah again. She's not just a vampire. She's Min-ah. And I love her. So don't you dare touch a single hair on her."
"What?" He aimed at my neck, eyes shooting flames. "You what? How could you? Wake up, Seung Gi! Jebal!" He shook me wildly.
"Stop it," Min-ah came between us, and pulled me away. "It's okay," She whispered to me.
"Okay?! Yah-" But suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my head.
My mind was blank for a moment, but then I saw shadows. I felt the soft, wet grass under my feet. I was in a forest. But this time, the trees were bending towards me, and it felt more threatening. And then there was a small hut. A man was making fire, and a woman collecting water from a well. I walked a little closer, feeling safer. But my eyes widened when I recognised the woman. She looked faintly familiar, only shabbier and less threatening. She was the vampire that had killed my parents. I ran. I ran and ran, until I tumbled on something. It seemed like a tunnel. I opened the lid-
-And then I was going down a never ending stairway, and it was dark. I couldn't see my hand infront of me, I could only feel my way through. And then I couldn't breathe...
Bright light overwhelmed me, and I looked around, only to find that I was at my house. My whole head was spinning, and felt wet.
"Sorry. We had to dunk a whole bucket of ice water for you to wake up. Are you ok?? You look pale. You suddenly went limp, I thought you died." Jung-suk said.
"I-I'm fine," I said, feeling guilty at Min-ah's worried gaze. "I had a vision. I saw.. I saw-" I stopped. Jong-suk and Hyo Joo didn't need to know about Min-ah's parents. I grabbed onto her hand. It was really useful to have a girlfriend who could hear your thoughts when you wanted.
We went over to Min-ah's house after tidying our house a little ( there doesn't seem to be
