CHAPTER 19

AMBER’S POV

“Where am I?” I saw myself walking in an array of pure white clouds. I am supposed to be training for the 2^nd leg of the championships so I am very much bewildered why I am in place like this. I continued walking to the direction I don’t know until I saw a familiar white figure waiting for me.

“Dad?” My eyes widened when I saw the kind face of my father smiling at me.

“What’s up Am?” He said and messed my hair.

“Why are you here dad? Oh no… don’t tell me”

“You’re not yet dead silly.” He laughed at me when I came to the realization of where I am as I usually see at the movies.

“But why am I here?”

“Isn’t this beautiful?”

“Of course it is Dad”

“I missed you so much Am”

“Me too Dad, but where is Mom?”

“How’s my handsome daughter?” I heard mom’s voice coming near us. She is wearing a beautiful white dress. I felt a tear shed from my eyes and I immediately embraced her in happiness.

“I’m okay mom, I was just practicing for the 2^nd Leg of the championships and then I saw myself here.”

“You’ve been very well Am, I’m happy Donghae raised you just as what we expected.” Mom kissed me on my cheek.

“I want to stay here Mom, Dad” I looked at them but they shook their head and smiled.

“It’s not yet time Am, but we could spend a little time here for a while.” Dad held my hand an we walked to a beautiful garden where a picnic mat was waiting for us.

“Do you remember when we always go outside to eat with your brother?” Mom asked while giving me a sandwich.

“We sometimes do it together mom, I just hope Dong hyung’s here.”

“So how’s Eunjung Am?” I went silent with my Dad’s question, Dad died in a car accident one year after I debuted as a professional racer, he knew Eunjung very well and liked her as his daughter.

“Dad…we broke up a year after you died.”

“I mean, now. How are you now that she’s back?”

“I have a girlfriend Dad, her name is Krystal.” I smiled at him trying to change the topic.

“oh that also, and also with Ailee.” 

“Hey dad, you’re teasing me.”

“I know you, You’re confused right?”

“No dad, I love Krystal.”

“Open up to us baby” Mom smiled at me then I realized I must take this opportunity that I’m with them.

“Ailee’s my first crush, Eunjung is my first love and Krystal is my Girlfriend. I love Krystal and I’m sure about it until Eunjung came back.”

“Deep within your heart Ailee was first, but you just don’t see it clearly right?”

“Ailee’s my childhood friend mom”

“What if she just disappeared from sight?”

“Of course I don’t want to! She’s my friend since I was a kid.”

“Find what you really want in life Amber, look deep within yourself and see what your heart wants.” They chorused and gave me a smile.

“Why don’t we just eat and enjoy our time together?” I smiled at them hoping that they will stop placing me on the hot seat.
