Is Your Heart Not Shaken? End

Is Your Heart Not Shaken?

Is Your Heart Not Shaken?

“Jin oppa, I’m sorry, I thought I could do it but I can't.” I stood in the hallway in disbelief, unable to go any further as I waited for Sabrine to continue.

“I want to be with you right now Jin.” There was a pause in her speech, and I let out a disappointed breath.

“But my flight got delayed so I'm still at the airport.” She stayed quiet as I let out a frustrated groan.

“Sabrine this our last night together and we're spending it apart because you wanted to go to prom in Philadelphia.” I wiped my hand over my face as the female on the other side of the phone continued her string of apologies.

“It's just six months Jin don't be so dramatic, and you said you didn’t mind me going to prom.”

“How could I refuse when you had already went out and brought the dress!?” Great! Now I’m screaming in the middle of the hallway like a lunatic.

“It was my last chance to experience prom, I couldn’t not go.” I squeezed the bridge of my nose hoping to calm down a little.

“Oppa, I really am sorry, I know how much this night meant to you, it meant a lot to me too.” I could hear the sincerity in her words, and it made me feel guilty.

“But luckily I was prepared in case something like this happened.” Before I could question what she meant, she answered for me.

“Jin I left your going away present in my room, go and get it.” I turned around and made my way to Sabrine's door, lifting my hand to knock.

“Don't knock my parents are out, just type in the code.” I again did as I was told, typing in the password Sabrine had given me months before.

As I turned the door I was shocked to see candles lit up around the entrance and leading out into the main room.. without speaking to Sabrine I followed the path of candles that lead to Sabrine's door.

“Open it Jin.” I jumped a little as I was embraced from behind. I hadn't even heard anyone come up behind me.

“Sabrine!” She giggled as I lifted her in the air.

“Be careful you'll knock over a candle.” I placed her down slowly after her warning.

“I really thought you wouldn't come.” She returned my embrace as I let out a relieved sigh.

“Jin you'll be going to a training camp for six whole months, did you really think I would miss our last night together.” I shook my head, and earned an eye roll from her.

“Now turn around and open the door, so you can get your present.” I looked at her confused.

“You're not my present?” She gave me a bright smile and shook her head.

“No I’m not, but that's cute.” Without another word she turned me around to open the door. At first I didn't see anything but upon closer inspection I noticed a fairly large book on her bed.

“You got me a book?” With an exasperated breath she push past me and sat on the bed placing the book on her lap.

“Come here Seokjin.” I followed as she beckoned me with a finger.

“Open it Jin.” I lifted the book as it was placed on my lap.

“Heart shaking moments?” I read the hand painted title out loud as I looked at Sabrine. She made an opening motion with her. I was surprised to hear her voice when the book opened.

“A handsome oppa who brought sweetness into my life, arrived today.” I looked at the picture as the recording paused. And there in the middle of the page was an animated version of me and Sabrine, at her doorway. I flipped the page to see four more smaller pictures.

“The sweet oppa is teaching me, not just about Korean, but real love too.” The recording stopped again as I observed the pictures. The first one was of me and Sabrine sharing the milkshake that we had in Itaewon. The other three were of us studying, both of our characters were wearing heart shaped glasses.

I flipped the page once again, and the recorder started again.

“I think this oppa is confessing to me.” The picture was of me and Sabrine, on our trip to the karaoke salon, in little bubbles surrounding us were the lyrics I sang to her. I felt Sabrine get up as I turned the page.

“I want this oppa, but what if we get hurt?” There were two pictures on the page one was of Sabrine standing in front of my door, hand raised as if to knock but the other showed her, retreating back to her own door and the words above her were.

“I don't want to turn this sweet oppa sour.” I stopped unsure what this meant. Did Sabrine want to confess to me. She had left the room so I decided to question her later.

“This oppa is a prince!” The picture placed here was of me and Sabrine dancing at our birthday party. I smiled at the found memory and flipped the page.

“This sweet oppa is my hero too.” The me in the picture wore a cape as I stepped on what looked to be a gummy bear, which caused me to laugh out.

“This oppa hurt me.” I didn't want to look at the illustration because even though it had happened a long time ago, it was still a memory I didn’t want. The pictured was of the hallway but the length between me and Sabrine had been greatly exaggerated, as we both cried on our respective sides.

“But above all of this... This oppa lifted me from darkness, and became my ultimate light.” The picture below was of me and Sabrine hugging in the hallway as a light shone from us.

“That's why Jin that no matter where you are, no matter where I am, I'll be able to feel the warmth of your light.” The last picture was of a glowing me as I smiled brightly. I smiled to myself as I shut the book and placed it next to me.

“Sabrine!” I got up and yelled her name as I exited her room. Only to find her in the living room sitting on the couch.

“It's funny isn't it oppa?” I didn't reply, so she continued on.

“We met almost a year ago, but so much has already happened.” I sat next to her and she placed her head on my shoulder.

“While you are away, your not aloud to miss one video date, or miss my call more than twice, and lastly the most important thing. You have to do a great job there, meet people who recognize how talented you are. And when you return, I 'll be waiting right here or you.” she looked up at me with tears in her eyes. I forced her to sit up and face me.

“Don't cry, because just like you said It's only six months.” She nodded a few tears falling.

“I'm gonna comeback to you Sabrine, and by then it'll be our one year anniversary.” I could see her visibly brighten at the thought.

“You better come back to me Kim Seokjin.” I grabbed her face in my hands and conveyed all my feeling in a breathtaking kiss. I placed her hand on my heart.

“It's only you Sabrine, only can make my heart race this way. And it'll always be you even if we wont see each other physically, you'll still be the only one.” She beamed at me and placed a soft kiss on my lips, and I knew that we'd be okay, because I’ll never feel this way about anyone but Sabrine.
