Prologue
Runaway Angel
It was a perfect day up above.
The sky was blue.
The clouds were slowly making their way across the sky.
The sun was shining brightly.
Everything was just perfect.
Smiles were plastered on everyone’s face.
Laughter was heard from far and near.
It was a wonderful day for all the angels.
Panting and rushing footsteps were heard down the small pathway.
An angel was running for her life. She was panting and constantly looking behind her. Someone – no, angel warriors were chasing after her.
She knew that if she was to be caught then she would be locked up.
The angel quickly made a sharp turn and pressed her back against a building. She hid in the shadows.
Footsteps rushed past her.
A small sigh of relief escaped her lip.
“Where did she go?!” A voice roared in anger.
“She just disappeared!” One voice claimed.
“How could she just disappear like that?! Find her!” The first voice commanded.
“Yes sir!” Six voices echoed.
Footsteps and the sound of metal clanking against each other disappeared.
The angel listened carefully around her. Hearing that were was no more angel warriors, a small triumph smile appeared on her lip.
She carefully poked her head out from her hiding spot. She turned her head left to right, right to left to see with there was any angel warriors around.
Spotting none, the angel slowly stepped out of her hiding spot. She turned her body and was about to step forward when a figure landed in front of her.
A gasp escaped her lip as she took a step back. Her eyes wide as she stared at the angel warrior in front of her.
The angel warrior took a step towards her, “Come back with me.”
The angel shook her head, “No!”
She quickly spun around and broke out into a run.
Seeing this, the angel warrior frowned. He clenched his hands into fists before he started to chase after the angel.
Knowing that the angel warrior was on her tail, the angel looked around to see how she could get rid of him.
Finally spotting something in the distance, a smile grew on her face. She picked up her speed and continued to run towards her destination.
The angel warrior kept running after the angel. He wasn’t stopping because he was ordered to capture the angel and he was going to finish his job. Though, it was specially said that there was no harm to be done to the angel.
*Why does she keep running when she knows that it won’t work?* He wondered as he fastened his pace to keep up with her.
The angel turned her head to see whether or not she had lost the angel warrior, but unfortunately, he was still chasing after her.
She huffed and puffed. Her legs were killing her and she wanted to stop and rest, but stopping meant she was going to get caught and that was definitely something she didn’t want to happen.
She wanted to spread her wings and fly but she knew that if she did so, he would catch her faster. Angel warriors were known for their flying speed and she wasn’t planning on getting caught, so that was out.
in a deep breath, the angel ran faster with all her might. She looked up and saw that she was close to her destination.
It was a place where she knew that the angel warrior wouldn’t dare to go in: a chapel for only royals.
A small smile played on her lip seeing how close she was getting.
When she was about to stretch her arm and grab the door, a hand wrapped around her wrist and yanked her back.
A startled yelp escaped her lip as she stumbled back. She turned her head and saw the angel warrior smiling in triumph because he got her.
The angel bit her lip as she
