TRANSFORMATION
DAZED AND CONFUSED
“You look absolutely amazing, Amelie.”
“Really Meg? I don’t feel amazing.”
“Honey…you got even skinnier last time I saw you. You wear the same size as me. You’re not tubby Amelie anymore.”
“You saw me yesterday and thank you for the fat comment.”
“Anyways….have fun at the ball. Live your life Amelie.”
“Yeah…”
I was finally able to live my life now. Because of my new body, I had that new confidence, and I felt prettier. But for some odd reason, I felt that my old self…was slowly deteriorating.
“Meg? I forgot to ask you…why are you here?”
“I live here. How many times do I have to mention this to you.”
“I know that….but you’re never home.”
“Oh…I broke up with Greg.”
“What? Why? I thought you said he was the one.”
“No. He was the one with a small .”
“So you broke up with him because his appendage was smaller than what you liked?”
“Yes. It may not be important to you, but it is VERY important to me.”
“Okay.”
“Enough about me. Now, you have a little over an hour before the ball. How do you feel?”
“Scared. Afraid. Excited.”
“Good.”
“What? Shouldn’t you say…don’t be scared or some like that?”
“No. The nerves do people good. Now go, Amelie. You look amazing. Have a good night tonight you deserve it.”
I turn around and face the mirror.
My hair flowed down in soft waves and my golden dress fit me perfectly.
“Thanks. I hope I have a good night too.”
