Flavor 8: Eavesdrop

~ Joon's POV ~
Two days have passed since the day I kissed Yunhee. Right after the kiss, the other members of MBLAQ stepped in the meeting room, making us step farther from each other, trying to act as if nothing happened.
Lucky enough, no one noticed my strange behavior. I avoided her eyes during the meeting while she acted calmly. I wonder why.
Since I don't have her number, I decided to talk to her. I need to apologize for my sudden kiss and confess properly to her.
So here I am, looking for Yunhee at Cube Entertainment building. I make a reason to look for Gikwang when the receptionist asks me. The receptionist tells me to look for him at the dance practice room.
"Sorry for waiting," I hear Yunhee's voice when I was going to turn to find the dance practice room. I take a peek and find Yunhee is standing in front of the dance practice room with Gikwang. Gikwang smiles to her and says something that I can't hear.
Seconds after, they walk to the elevator direction. I follow them carefully until I hear Yunhee's question, "Why are we going to the rooftop?"
"Like usual," I can see Gikwang pats her head with a smile on his face. His eyes show the unspeakable care and love. I know it.
After the elevator door is closer, I take the emergency stairs to reach the rooftop. I don't want to risk the chance they will find me following them. Do I sound like a stalker now?
Of course they arrive at the rooftop first. There are some staffs up there. I wear my hoodie to cover my face; I hope they won't recognize my face since I'm wearing glasses now.
I try to get as close as possible to them, pretending that I am listening to iPod even though I don't turn it on.
My back is facing them while they sit on a bench, side by side.
I take a glance at Yunhee. Just like what I always think, Yunhee and her fashionable outfit.
She is wearing an elegant aquamarine colored dress with a black ribbon. She wears a pair of white flat shoes to match up her dress.
I wonder what her favorite color is. Now I envy Gikwang who can meet her almost everyday. Aish, Joon, you and your thought.
"I always love the rooftop," I look away immediately when I hear Yunhee chuckles.
"I always love being here with you," Gikwang replies sincerely.
It is really obvious that he is in love with Yunhee. Aigoo...
"Yunhee ah," Gikwang mutters. "Is something wrong?"
"Uhm, nothing," Yunhee replies. "It's just something happened two days ago."
My heart skips a beat when I hear her words. Is she talking about the kiss? No, no. There is no way she's going to tell Gikwang about a man kissed her when Gikwang is clearly in love with her!
"What happened?" Gikwang can't hide his curiosity. "Two days ago. Did something happen when you're at J.Tune Entertainment building?"
Gikwang is quick to catch where the conversation is heading. My heart is beating faster, waiting impatiently for Yunhee's next sentence.
"Joon Oppa...," she pauses for a second, "...kissed me."
AISH! I can't believe she actually told Gikwang about the kiss!
"Eh?" Gikwang is totally shocked because of her words. "Joon? Joon from MBLAQ?"
Oh my, what should I do now when I meet Gikwang? Yunhee, you are so... AISH!
"He asked me about you," Yunhee continues again. "About whether we're only friends or not."
"And your answer was?" Gikwang asks. I want to know what kind of expression he has on his face now, knowing that I have kissed the girl he loves.
"We're friends," Yunhee answers simply. I'm sure Gikwang is really hurting because of her answer now. How come we fall in love with this insensitive yet cute girl?
"I see," Gikwang mutters. "Do you think of Joon as a friend too?"
This. I want to know her answer for this question!
"I just met him around two weeks ago," Yunhee explains. "You know that I never think of being in a relationship with someone before."
Now that is a straight answer.
"I was going to think you're really unfair if you fall for Joon," Gikwang laughs.
"What do you mean?" I take a peek and see Yunhee is tilting her head. Aigoo... she is really cute!
"I'm in love with you for more than four years now and I can't accept my lost for Joon who only knows you for two weeks, can I?" Gikwang pats her head gently.
Aish, is he confessing to her?
"I thought you only think of me as friend, Oppa...," Yunhee pouts. "You just need to use those kind of words when you're an MC with IU."
Wait. Does it mean Gikwang has confessed to her before?
"I never said that I would only think of you as a friend," Gikwang smiles. "I said that I would try. I tried my best anyway."
Yunhee sighs heavily, "I'm hurting you again."
"No, you're not," Gikwang says. "I know you don't want to have a relationship for now. I'll be fine with it..."
He pauses for seconds, having Yunhee to look at his directly, "...as long as you're not falling for Joon or other man."
Suddenly Gikwang moves a bit and takes out his phone to accept the phone call. He talks for a while and then tells Yunhee that BEAST's manager want to talk with her.
They leave the rooftop, unaware of my existence, leaving me with uneasy feeling.
I was right all along.
Gikwang loves her.
Long before I knew Yunhee.
But Yunhee doesn't return his feeling.
Doesn't it mean I still have a chance?
Do I?
