1 minute.......................2 minute.....................3 minute......................

where the heck are you, BAKA. Fine, I'll lunch with others then. While walking towards the cafeteria with Suzuka and Miku, I spotted Class 3B's students, including Yuto and Chinen...but no sign of Ryosuke. 

"konnichiwa minna!" we said to the table of Class B students.

"Konnichiwa~" the students replied cheerfully.

"no need to look, Umika....he is not here" Chinen noticed my distraction.

"where's he?"

"he had a long schedule yesterday...he said he'll skip lunch to catch up on his sleep," Yuto replied.

"hmm, maybe i'll go grab something for him... Suzuka, Miku, you girls go ahead," I winked at them before dashing off.

...

"Umika is so sweet...how lucky of Yamachan" Yuto pouted.

Suzuka, Miku and Chinen laughed at Yuto's comment.

...

Class 3B is empty, except for a tired boy who has his head buried on the table.

Ryosuke really looks dead tired, I thought. He didn't even noticed someone entered the classroom. I take a seat in front of his and turn the chair to face him.

In the background, I hear a soft growl coming from his stomach. I run my fingers on his silky short hair and utter under my breadth "poor thing"

Just when I am doing this, his head jerked and I notice his eyes peeping through his arms.

"Did I wake you up?"

"Yeah you did" he rubs his eyes and stretches his limbs

"gomene~" I am a little bit apologetic.

"kidding!" he winked, while he checks his phone.

"oh~ you messaged? i didn't notice, sorry" he suddenly stood up and held my shoulder.

"heh?" i stared blankly at him

"Let's go for lunch! I'm famished"

"no need......i brought it up for you" I flashed the sumptous lunch I got from the cafeteria.

"AWESOME! a~ri~ga~tou~" he smiled and grabbed the bento from me.

"great, my favourite dishes.! you understand me best, as always"

I uncontrollably started salivating, as he munched on his food, i suddenly recalled that I haven't ate mine. I'm such an idiot, i forgot to buy for myself.  

Ryosuke let out a laugh...

"what are you laughing at?!" i hit his head.

"betsuni~" and before I know it, he stuffed his chopsticks in my hand.

"I'll help myself then" I giggled as I briefly looked at him before stuffing his bento into my mouth.

"hey! leave some for me~" we started snatching the chopsticks, and in no time, we managed to finish the food in merely few minutes.

we sat with our backs facing each other, and he leaned his weight on me~ in a cold day like this, his back is particularly warm and cozy.

"you have a schedule later? if not, then go home after class and rest"

"I wish I could, but I've practice later" I can hear his sigh.

"oh, Umika! can I come over at night~~ about 10pm after my practice?" he suddenly sat up and faced me.

"why?dont tell me you wanna chit-chat into the night in this half-dead condition?!" 

"I didn't listen to class today, and I've a test coming up. you've got to give me a crash course"

"ah a favor~ what is it in for me?" I smirked.

"stop it Umika, I'm serious. I can't fail this... Chinen and Yuto will be too shagged by then to tutor me. please~" he placed his head on my shoulders and pouted.

too close... his face is almost stuck to mine. he always makes my heart beat fast when he does that. 

"okay okay! " I pushed his head away.

"Yatta! I knew this method will work on you. I'm irresistible, right, Umika?" he winked.

"ah, shut up~ I'm going back to class" I frustratedly stood up and walked towards the door.

"gambatte Ryosuke! see you~" I make it a point to encourage him regardless of how he always mock at me.

"see you~" he smiled...and from the corner of my eyes I saw Chinen, Yuto and his classmates entering.

....

"Umika dear, don't you need to pack your messy bedroom before Yamada-kun comes over?"

"mum, stop being so uptight whenever he comes over. I don't have to specifically tidy my room for him~ besides, my room is perfectly fine."

"fine?! it's like a pig sty! your clothes are everywhere... he's still a guy you know..."

"yea yea... " I rolled my eyes and went into my room. seriously, Ryosuke and I have been friends forever, and we know each other so well... since we became best friends, I never really treated him as a guy, he never treated me as a girl too, we just treat each other as best friends, soul mates who could share everything under the sky. 

I laid on my bed and stared blankly at the celling, waiting for him to reach~ it's already past 10 and still no sign of him.

I think many of us have experienced this before - you're deep in your sleep, when suddenly you jerked and are awaken abruptly from your sleep.

yeah, that's what happened. I 'jumped' out of bed.

"oh goodness, what's the time?!"

I looked at the clock frantically after recalling that I'm supposed to be waiting for Ryosuke.

12.30am?! 

I picked up my phone, thinking of messaging him and giving him a piece of my mind for not turning up, but...

I realised he's right there... sitting on the floor with his head buried on my bed.

I took a closer look at him and realised he looks even more tired than he was in the morning.

I took my blanket and covered him...

"Umika~you should have woken me up" I disturbed his sleep again. he's really a light sleeper, I realised. 

"you look so tired~ why not you just have a good sleep, and I can tutor you in the morning before school..."

"no, I'm fine. you can teach me now ~" he stretched his body and smiled at me as reassurance .

"come~ I brought everything we need." he pulled me to my desk and I realised he did bring all his textbooks over.

I have to really salute him... he knows nothing about the topic that he'll be tested on soon. it took me hours before he finally got the hang of it. throughout the 3-4hours, he stood close to me, occasionally dozing off but got hit by me in the head whenever he falls asleep~

...

"Yatta! Ryosuke, full marks~ you got it" I cheered but I noticed he already fell asleep on my shoulders.

I fixed my gaze on him.

the look of him when he's sleeping is so charming that I just can't believe how someone can look so good even in such condition. heat rushed to my cheeks once again, and luckily he's not awake to mock me again.

"oyasumi Ryosuke~"

I continued looking at him until my eyelids got heavier..., and heavier... and heavier... zzzz

...

"wake up kids!" 

I opened my eyes, only to find both Ryosuke and me with our heads buried on my desk, or to be exact, my  head on his arms.

"ah ah Itai" Ryosuke exclaimed.

"Umika! my arms are numb and aching" I quickly moved my head away after he complained.

"your head sure is heavy"

"hey! at least there's substance. yours must be really light" I stuck out my tongue to mock him, and he responded by sticking out his tongue too.

"kids, stop bickering... Yamada-kun, go wash up and come down for breakfast, I've prepared your share" my mum said.

"arigatou" he smiled brightly at her before she left the room.

"your mum treats me so well, unlike somebody" he eyed me as he said proudly.

"Ryosuke~ I didn't treat you well huh~" I in a seductive tone and tackled him from behind and hopped onto his back.

"hey! hey! get off my back!" he struggled.

"come on, ride your sensei to the wash room too" I continued to place my whole weight on his back.

and he gave in, but only to end off with a final attack that send me blushing like a tomato, "say... Umika, I know your room is always that messy, but the least you could is to keep your inner garments away right?" 

I saw him looking at my bra lying on my bed.

"ahh, Ryosuke, go~ go wash up!" I jumped off his back and pushed him out of my room, closing my door behind him.

that's so embarrassing ~ i hate to admit but my mum is right once again. I should have been more careful cause he is a guy after all.
