EunGyul

Finito (maybe Reposts and Continuations on on tumblr!!)

I walk the cold streets of Seoul contemplating whether I should call my bestfriend or not. He said he needed time alone and I was all for it . That is until I realized how much time he was talking about. I sigh. Didn't he know that no good would come from separating himself from the rest of the world? He had to. He once told me the same thing. "Sir, are you ready to order?" the waitress at the cafe asks snapping me out of my daze. "Oh,...uh sure. Sorry." I say straightening myself up. She nods and holds up her tablet, waiting for me but I say nothing. "Sir." she says again. " You know what? I actually won't order. Sorry about that." I conclude getting up from the table. I drop a tip for her troubles and leave the confused waitress to her job. I figured that since I was so worried about my friend that I couldn't eat I would take him out to eat as well. That way both of our minds could be at ease. At least for a short while. I hurry back from where I came and make my way to his house.

Three days go by and I haven't even stepped outside. I didn't feel like it. I even think about staying in bed for the remainder of the day, then I get a stupid phone call. Go figure. I groan and pull the covers over my head hoping the ringing would stop, but it didn't. It actually sounded like it got louder by the second. I pick it from from side table and answer. "Hello?" I begin, a tad bit annoyed. " Are you still in bed?" a voice asks. I swing my legs over the side of the bed, slipping into my slippers. "Oh, it's you." I respond. "Ya! I told you that separating yourself won't help! Are you planning on staying in bed forever?" my bestfriend Cha EunGyul shouts. "When did I say that? I'm up." I respond calmly. "Have you gone out?" he asks. "I'm out right now." I lie, just to shut him up. "Kurae? I'm in front of your house right now and your car is still here. Did you walk?" he asks. My eyes widen and I scurry to the window. I pull the curtains back just enough to see him standing out front with his phone to his ear. "LeeJoon?" he asks. I squeeze my eyes shut and bite my bottom lip. He's caught me. EunGyul looks up at the open window and I quickly shut it. "I'm dead." I mumble to myself. "Ya, I'm coming up." he concludes before hanging up. I shove my phone into my pocket and try to look as normal as possible. A few moments later EunGyul barges in. "Out, huh?" he snickers. "I lied." I reply bluntly. "No kidding." he jokes, smacking me on the back and causing me to wince. "Get ready. We're going out." he says, smiling. " Ani. You're going out." I tell him. I was not in the mood to go anywhere. "You can't go in that." EunGyul says, heading towards my closet as if I hadn't said anything. "I'm not going at all!" I exclaim. He takes one last look at my pajama pants and t-shirt, picks out a pair of jeans and a sweater and throws it at me. I catch the clothes and look at him in disbelief. "I'll be downstairs." he concludes, leaving the room. I collapse onto my bed and run my hands across my face. You never win with this guy.

Joon finally comes down dressed like it's winter. He has on a long black coat, jeans, dark brown boots and a tan scarf up to his chin. "It's not that cold, you know." I laugh. "I get cold easily. He respondes. I smile. "Whatever. Let's go." I say. We walk in silence, which isn't normal. I mean, Joon has always been on the quiet and reserved side but, not like this. "Are you still avoiding....you know...?" I ask him. "Avoiding?" he asks. "Rachel and--" "I know who you're talking about!" he interrupts. I frown. "Then what do you mean?" I ask. "Who says I'm avoiding them? I just need--" "Time? Joon you aren't doing anything with this time! You're already out on--" "Arasooooo...." he interrupts, throwing his head back. "I can handle myself. Don't worry about me." he adds. I sigh as we enter the cafe I previously left. The waitress looks at me like I'm crazy but I sit down anyway. "So you're buying right?" Joon asks. I laugh. "Why? You're the rich one." I joke. "You made me come." Joon respondes, picking up the menu. "You're right. I guess I am paying then." I conclude. "When are you going back to work?" I ask him. He shrugs. "Joon--" "EunGyul-ah, are you here to council me?" he asks before I could finish. I just look at him. Poor kid. He's only making his situation worse by bottling his anger up inside. I just shake my head. "Ani. I'm not here to do that. We'll discuss this another time." I conclude, looking back down at my menu.

Chapter 22: This is really good. Even though it still has the mystery of why each character is connected it's easy to follow.
