EunGyul

Finito (maybe Reposts and Continuations on on tumblr!!)

“What the heck dude?!” I shout at Joon after Rachel storms out. Joon just stands there for a while before coming to his senses. “We have to get her out of here.” He says calmly. I scoff. “Okay, let me get this straight.” I begin, taking a few steps closer to Joon. “You liked a girl, you dated her. That girl left for America, you two grew distant. She comes back and all Hell breaks loose. You insist that you hate her, and even push her away, but now for some unknown reason you want to save her?” I ask confused. Joon doesn’t reply so I jab at it again. “Joon, I’ve already agreed to trust you, but it’s really hard to when you aren’t giving me anything to work with.” Still no reply. I take a deep breath and try once more. “Can you just answer this one final question I have? It’ll give me the answers to all the rest, just…just answer this one okay?” I ask almost begging now. Joon exhales and turns to me, arms crossed and waiting patiently. “That girl…do you still like her?” I ask him, half expecting him to disregard it anyway. “What do you think? You’ve asked me this question before and I’ve given you my answer ‘but for some unknown reason’ you still think otherwise. So you can think what you want to think or believe what you want to believe.” He concludes beginning to walk off. I grab his rm. That was not an answer I was going to accept. “Do you still like her, yes or no?” I ask through gritted teeth.

I storm through the Doll Room in search for Rachel. I try my best to avoid any eye contact with the girls and women in here, it was too shameful. This was where my mother was murdered, but no one even knows I know about this. I shake the depressing thoughts from my head and try to focus on the issue at hand. Just then I see Kang Minji lurking in the shadows. How fitting. “Where is Rachel?” I ask her. Minji doesn’t even respond she scoffs and storms off. “Wow, everyone here seems to hate Rachel with a passion.” I mumble to myself. Just then I see another familiar face with shoulder length hair bouncing carelessly. “Haneul?” I whisper to myself. What could she possibly be doing here? Why was everyone I know here? “Haneul! Choi Haneul!” I shout pointing in her direction. She looks around cautiously as if she’s about to run off. Before she can, I jog up to her grabbing her wrists. “What are you doing right now?” she whispers harshly attempting to cover her face. “Why are you and Rachel both here? Are you two planning something? Why do you guys show up everywhere?” I ask her. “Ya, Cha EunGyul! People are watching!” she continues, still whispering. I didn’t care if people were watching. I needed answers and I needed them now. “Why are you guys here?” I ask a little more slowly this time. Haneul looks me deep in the eyes. “EunGyul…you know we’d never do anything to hurt you guys…right?” she asks in all seriousness. I frown. “What do you…” “We wouldn’t do anything to hurt you guys so just trust us.” She adds. I roll my eyes. “No, I’m not trusting anyone anymore! Just give me some damn answers!!” I shout at her. Haneul yanks her arm free from my grasp. “Stop calling me Haneul. I told everyone here my name was Jieun.” She says, rubbing her wrists. She takes one last look at me then takes my arm. “What are you doing now?” I ask her. My head was beginning to throb from all the shouting and seeking answers. Trusting people is exactly what got my mother and father killed and this is exactly why I try not to do it. I just thought that these people were different and I even felt safe at some point. But all that’s taking a turn for the worst now. “Rachel hasn’t been talking to me for almost a week now.” Haneul says as we stop in front of a door with RJ125 written on it. I don’t say anything because I’m not sure how to respond. “She’s obviously upset...” Haneul adds, as if I’d catch her drift. When she sees that I don’t she sighs. “Just go easy on her. She’s been really upset that you and Joon both showed up here. She doesn’t know who to believe.” She explains. That makes two of us. Haneul walks off, leaving me in front of the door in the dark corridor all alone. I hesitate before taking the doorknob in my hand. What was I going to say to her? She thinks that Joon and I are up to something, but how could I tell her we weren’t without messing things up all over again? How could I explain to her that we weren’t up to anything if I wasn’t even sure myself? She’d surely get herself involved and end up hurt or dead or something…I was just so confused. After almost bursting under pressure I let go of the doorknob. There was absolutely no way I could tell her. Not without telling her other things she had no business knowing about. I bite my bottom lip and back away. Just as I’m about to turn to leave the door flies open. “Cha EunGyul!..” Rachel begins, curls flying everywhere. I stop in my tracks. “I have a few things to say to you.”

Chapter 22: This is really good. Even though it still has the mystery of why each character is connected it's easy to follow.
