I rush upstairs towards the room the boys were hiding in previously, the door now swung open and the boys nowhere to be found. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU GUYS BREAK??" I shout at them, but the only reply was their little feet scattering away at the other end of the hallway. I sigh and enter the room I assumed to be uninhabited. There in the far corner of the room was a container, a now shattered glass container. The glass was spread out around the only part that remained in tact...the wooden shelves. Each shelve, there were about four, was jammed packed with letters and documents. I make my way over to the shelves, grabbing a handful of the letters and taking them back with me to sit on the edge of the bed. I grab the fattest one and flip it over, examining it. "Sincerely, Chief...." I mumble with a frown on my face. That name sent chills up and down my spine....but why would Alex have letters from Chief? And why so freaking many?? Of course my curiosity gets the best of me and I find myself peeling the tape off. Inside there are loads of photos. Photos of Joon, myself....even Alex and EunGyul! I pull them out with shaking hands. Why is Cheif sending our photos to Alex? As I shuffle through the photos I notice something gut wrenching. These were photos of us now! There was me when I got kicked out of my apartment, Joon and Rachel talking on his porch, Alex ruffling Taemin's hair at this very house!! My speed began to increase as I moved from one picture to the next. They were watching us. They were watching us this entire time and we didn't even know it! My breathing became heavier as I began to sweat. I was losing it. This meant we never truly got away from Chief...he...he just let us believe that we did?? I stand up running my hands through my hair and fanning out my shirt. So he knows everything! He knows where we all live, work, everything! 

 

Just then I hear Shrieking and screaming downstairs. "Leave him alone you big dummy!!" I hear Junhyun scream, then crashing. The kids were being attacked! I rush downstairs to find one of Chiefs men dangling Taemin in the air by his ankle. " Where is it you little brat?? I know you know!" He shouts in Taemin's face, causing him to cry for Alex. Junhyun just kicks his legs and punches the guy in attempt to free his friend. I quickly grab the fire poker and bash it up against the guys head, knocking him forward, but he gets up fast, punching me right in the stomach. I double over in pain and the guy kicks me right in the face, knocking me to the ground. My vision goes blurry but I can see enough to make out another figure charging inside the door. "Get the kid!!" One guy snarls, "I'll take care of the babysitter." 

 

I literally can't see anymore as the guy yanks me up by my hair, but I knee him in what I hoped would be his groin and when he doubled over I kicked him in his face for payback. I stumbled and fell again, breathing heavily. This guy is bigger and stronger than me, I couldn't outlast him. The only thing I had on him was my speed, but that doesn't make a difference when you're momentarily blinded. I feel the guy's shadow hovering over me as I scout backwards, backing right into a wall. He crouches down, his face inches from mine, hands gripping my hair. He yanks my head up so he could look my in the eyes. The only thing I could make out clearly on his face was the scar that ran from the beginning of his right eyebrow all the way down to the left side of his cheek. "You're lucky Chief doesn't want you dead." He says. "Why wouldn't he?" I snap back. "He wants us all dead, isn't that why you've been watching us this entire time?" I add. The guy just chuckles. "If he wanted you dead we would've taken you all out ages ago." He clarifies. I spit in his face. "Do what you want. But bring the kid back to his father." I insist. This angers him and he slams my head up against the wall behind me. Now my blurred vision was becoming patchy... bits that I could see were becoming darker and darker until complete darkness took over. "If the father wants him, he'll come and get him." I hear the guy says before I'm completely knocked out.

 

"Hyung! Hyung! Hyuuuuung!!" I hear a voice crying. Little hands push me furiously in attempt to wake me. I groan from the throbbing pain in my head, and open my eyes to see Junhyun crying and shaking me. I sit up and shake my head, trying to shake the dizziness. "I'm alright..." I assure him, ruffling his hair. He attacks me with a hug, now crying harder. "I thought you died!!!" He cries. I'm shocked, but I pat his back, he was still very young. He didn't need to see any of that. "Of course I didn't die. Who would babysit you and Taemin?" I smile. The mention of Taemin's name causes him to cry even harder. "Taemin is gone! That stupid man took him!" He shouts. I squeeze my eyes together in fustration...right. He was taken. I have to get him back...he's a brat, but he's still my nephew. I pull Junhyun away and grip his shoulders so he looks me in the eyes. "I'm going to need your help okay? You're going to have to be strong if we're going to go save Taemin." I tell him. He sniffles and nods. I shake my head. "No Junhyun, this is serious. I'm going to need you to listen to everything I say. No more joking around." I clarify. He nods again. "I want to help save Taemin." He says. I just stare at him. What exactly was I planning to do bringing a little six year old into age old gang feuds? I exhale, pulling him back into a hug. "Okay..." I say, realizing that there was no other choice. "Okay."
