Jisoo

Finito (maybe Reposts and Continuations on on tumblr!!)

So I was stuck at home with the kids…again, without notice! They ran from room to room doing who knows what, while I, not knowing how else to entertain them, sat stressfully at the kitchen island. I couldn’t help but wonder why on Earth Alex would leave me with the kids when he said himself that he would NEVER hire me as a baby-sitter. “Something extremely important must’ve come up.” I say to myself. Why else would he have left so suddenly like that? And he did sound a little troubled… “Should I be worried?” I ask myself. It definitely wasn’t like him to leave without an explanation, but he and Joon were really secretive about certain things. It’s almost like they think I’m too young to handle certain situations or whatever, but I was flung off of a freaking 5 story high school building and survived! I think I can do just about anything. Just then I hear a crash and little thumping footsteps in the opposite direction. “WHAT ARE YOU LITTLE BRATS DOING?!!!” I shout at them. As a response all I get is giggling. I head over to the staircase, leaning up so they can hear me better. “YOU BETTER NOT BE IN MY ROOM!! I’LL KILL YOU IF YOU ARE!” I continue just as Taemin leans over the staircase dangling one of my pocket knives over the railing. “You were in my room? Do you want to die?!!!” I snap at them. “Put that back right now, kid.” I demand but, Junhyun just sticks his tongue out and they both take off in the opposite direction. I charge up the stairs after them. “WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU I’LL KILL YOU BOTH!!” I growl as they whip around a corner, ducking into a room and locking the door. I’m too late but, I grab the handle anyway a shake it furiously. “OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!!” I order. Those kids could kill themselves playing with that thing…but I did just chase them while they had it so… “Not if you’re going to kill us!!” I hear Taemin shout from the other side of the door. I grit my teeth. He sure is the brattiest of the brats. “OPEN…THE…DOOR!” I repeat. “Are you going to kill us?” Junhyun asks. I scoff, “WELL I DON’T PLAN ON LETTING YOU OF EASY!” “Then we won’t come out.” Taemin concludes. Just then the door bell rings. I ignore it and rattle the doorknob once more. “You know, you’ll have to come out sooner or later.” I say, leaning against the door. “Who says?” Temin challenges. “Your stomachs, your bladders and your little annoying little boy desires to unleash wrath.” I answer. “What is he talking about?” I hear Junhyun ask Taemin. “Who cares? We have this, now we can open that thing we found!” Taemin responds. The doorbell rings again. “Oh yeah!” Junhyun exclaims in excitement. “I forgot all about that.” “Whatever, you little brats, you’ll have to pee and you’ll get hungry in less than 20 minutes then, I’ll be waiting.” I conclude with an evil laugh. The doorbell rings like 20 more times before I finally get sick of it. I saunter down the stairs and examine the porch screen. There was a woman standing there patiently, more patient than I would have been if I had to wait for someone to open the door. She looked behind her cautiously then reached out to ring the bell once more. I pick up the phone contacted to speakers outside the house. “Who is it?” I ask. She looks around, clearly unsure of where the sound was coming from. “O-oh…I’m here to see Alex?” she responds as I unsure herself. I hang up the phone and open the door. The woman looks shocked but immediately begins talking. “Is Alex here?” she asks. I cross my arms. “I’m afraid he isn’t, why?” I ask her. “Are you like his secret girlfriend or something?” I ask her. She blushes, “N-no! Of course not, I just really need to see him.” She says, looking around me to see for herself whether or not he was actually there.  “He gave me his card in case I’d need his help…” she explains holding out his business card. “I’m sorry, he left me with the kids not that long ago.” I tell her, not even looking at the card. “Kids? Is Junhyun there?” she asks, a whole new fear exploding all over her face. I nod and point behind me. “Are you his mother? I could call him down if you-”  “No!” she exclaims, causing me to jump in surprise. “No…I don’t want him to know I’m here. Don’t tell him okay? Just…this…!” she begins, rummaging around her pockets, hurriedly. She hands me a folded piece of paper and a little black book. “Give this to him alright? I know he’s busy…I understand, just-just make sure he gets this okay?” the woman practically begs. I examine her face. She was beautiful  once, I could tell, but all I could see now were big eyes full of fear and a face exploding with worry. I almost felt…sorry for her. I sigh and take the note and book. The woman looks grateful. “Thank you.” She says. We just stand there awkwardly for a while until she speaks again. “How is my son?” she almost whispers. “Junhyun?” I ask stupidly. The woman nods smiling weakly. “A menace like the rest of them.” I want to tell her but, I don’t. “He’s a pretty cool kid.” I say instead. The woman shifts her weight to her left leg, still smiling weakly. “Be patient with him. He’s not a bad kid, he’s just troubled, that’s all. He’ll open up eventually.” She says. I nod, “Yeah, thanks.” I say, smiling back just to make her feel better. The woman ends our conversation with a slight bow. “Well, thanks again. Not a word to Junhyun okay?” she clarifies. I nod and bow back. By the time I look back up, the woman is already on her way. I walk back into the house, closing the door behind me and examine the items she gave me. I knew it wasn’t my business but it was so tempting to read them myself. At that moment I hear another crash, this time sounding like shattering glass. I place the items onto the nearest counter and rush up the stairs. “YOU BRATS!! YOU’RE DEAD!!”

Chapter 22: This is really good. Even though it still has the mystery of why each character is connected it's easy to follow.
