You Promised
Pinky PromiseThe next morning Dara woke up extra early to cook a breakfast she knew Seunghyun would love. She was cooking all his favorites; kimchi jigae, sushi, rolled eggs, and meat. It was a heavy breakfast but she had a lot planned for the day and knew they needed the food. After a few hours of Dara trying to roll the sushi perfectly, she finally got the hang of it and was finishing up. At 10 she went to go wake up Seunghyun who was still sound asleep in his room. She opened it to see Seunghyun wrapped in his sheets and he looked like a child. However, the fact that he wasn't wearing a shirt made Dara take back the comment about him being a child. She walked towards him calling out his name lightly a few times to wake him up but there was no movement. Dara sat next to his still body and gave his bare shoulder a light pat.
"Seunghyun-ah wake up, it's 10 o'clock." Seunghyun shrugged out of her grasp to get some more sleep but Dara kept shaking him, now even harder. As a final plead Seunghyun ducked under his sheets to keep from waking up and Dara blew her bangs from her face in frustration. She stood at his feet and placed her hands on her hips.
"Yah! Aren't you going to wake up?!"
"No! Let me sleep please."
"No come on! It's 10 already."
"One more hour."
"Hell no. Get up." But it was no use, Seunghyun stayed buried under his sheets. Dara, irritated at the moment, grabbed his sheets and pulled it off of him when he wasn't expecting it. This surprised Seunghyun and left Dara speechless because she was now staring at his very defined 6 pack and biceps. Not noticing anything else, Dara was caught off guard when Seunghyun got up and grabbed Dara to lie on bed with him. He brought her into his arms and buried his face in her slightly wet and rose scented hair.
"Seunghyun you have to get up."
"Whyyyyy," He whined into her hair.
"Because i made a whole breakfast just for you, and it's getting cold because you want to be a lazy bum." At the word 'breakfast' Seunghyun raised his head to face Dara.
"You cooked?" He was clearly excited.
"Yes. And i have a lot of other things planned so can you please get up and let me get up as well."
"You should've told me sooner stupid." Seunghyun slowly began to free Dara from his embrace while she rolled her eyes. They both go up from his bed and Dara was about to get out of the room when she was pulled back and into his embrace. He hugged her from the back, still bare chested. Dara's face grew red at the reminder that he wasn't wearing a shirt.
"Seunghyun. I'm hungry."
"You didn't kiss me yet."
"Obviously. You just woke up, go wash up first." She turned her face to see his reaction and as she expected she saw him jut his lower lip out slightly as he pouted. Dara couldn't help but laugh as she gave him a kiss on the cheek and said "happy?" Seunghyun knew he wouldn't get anything more for now and nodded as he let her go to wash up.
When Seunghyun got out, fresh out of the shower he walked into the kitchen with his wet hair slightly messy and covering his forehead. He walked right over to Dara and gave her a satisfying kiss on the lips.
"Finally! Let's eat!" Dara uncovered the plates of food one by one and Seunghyun's face was practically glowing with excitement and anticipation. She loved the look on his face as he took his first bite and it made the hard work all worth it.
"Happy Birthday."
After eating and practically begging Seunghyun to get dressed so they can go outside, he agreed and they were heading out the door. In the elevator Dara stuck her hand out in front of him.
"What?"
"Keys."
"Huh?"
"Give me your car keys."
"Why?" Seunghyun was nervous at the thought of Dara driving.
"Because I know where we're going and you don't."
"You can just tell me the directions and i'll drive." Dara stared at him with her eye brows raised and Seunghyun reluctantly handed over his keys, praying inside that his baby, his car, didn't get hurt.
"I can drive you know. Very well."
"Uh huh..." Dara scowled at his response and walked over to the driver's seat as he walked to the passenger's. They slowly set out of building and out into the busy roads of Seoul despite the cold weather.
"Where are we going?"
"Somewhere."
"That's specific." Dara smiled loving the fact that she knew somethig that Seunghyun didn't. They drove for about 20 minutes when Seunghyun realized they weren't in the city anymore and the roads were quieter and less busy. After a while all he saw was snow and couldn't help but think they were lost.
"Dara... Are we lost?"
"No. I know where we are."
"Are you sure?" Dara gave him a look to which he raised his hands up to in defeat. Then suddenly she stopped the car in the middle of the street and he saw a single lane. They both got out and Seunghyun looked at her with a confused expression. Dara grabbed his hands and said "now we walk."
As they walked in silence for a minute or two Seunghyun began the conversation.
"I have to say, i wasn't expecting this."
"What were you expecting?"
"I don't know. Just nothing as simple as walking while holding hands."
Dara stopped walking and looked up at him, "You don't like it? We can go back..." Now it was Dara's turn to pout.
"Of course i do. Just because it's simple doesn't mean it's not nice. I like how peaceful it is here and it's just us two." Seunghyun smiled gratefully and Dara returned it back. He interlaced their fingers and brought them inside his coat's pocket.
"That's so cheesy!"
"What is?"
"You know, putting our hands in your pocket."
"It's cold i don't want our hands to freeze!" Dara laughed and continued to walk. To tell the truth, Dara had always wanted someone to put her hands in their pocket and she was dying of happiness inside. As they strolled down the lane almost 30 minutes passed and Seunghyun was confused.
"Yah where are we going?"
"Don't worryyyy. It's just a little more walking. I promise." And it was, after about 5 minutes Seunghyun saw a small cottage and outside was a little campfire waiting to be lit.
"Is that for us?" Seunghyun looked down at Dara who was now smiling the most perfect smile while nodding her head excitedly.
"Yep. Do you like it? I rented it for 2 days."
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah. I thought you might want some quiet and time to relax from work and everyone in general."
"This... This is perfect. Thank you." He looked at her with eyes that were filled with so much love and sincerity that Dara swore would've made her melt if she didn't stop staring at them.
"Come on. Let's go check it out." She pulled him inside by the wrist as she pushed in the key and unlocked the cottage. From the outside it looked small and typical but inside it was amazing. The cottage was fully furnished with a sofa, huge flat screen tv, a fully stocked kitchen, and inside seemed to be a room that would serve as the bedroom.
"How is it?"
"How did you find this place? This is crazy."
"I went online and yeah." Seunghyun walked over to her and held her by the waist.
"You're amazing you know that?"
"Yeah. I know." Dara giggled to show she was joking. Seunghyun leaned down to kiss her and when she realized he didn't want just a peck, she pulled away.
"I did not pay for this place just so we can kiss." Seunghyun laughed and said sorry. They both took off their coats and while Dara fumbled over some DVDs, Seunghyun explored the place a little more. He was super excited to see a jacuzzi in the bathroom and the fact fhat there was only one bedroom. As he was about to walk back to Dara, he saw something interesting in the corner of the bedroom and instantly knew what he really wanted this night.
"Seunghyun come here i picked a movie." Be walked inside to see Dara sitting on the sofa with the remote in her hand to start the movie. As he sat down he said "i have another idea. Let's watch the movie later."
"What do you wanna do then?" Seunghyun smiled.
"Promise you'll do what i ask you to do?" Dara was hesitant, but soon agreed. When she asked again a he did was point to a certain room in the cottage. Dara looked over where he was pointing and blushed violently as she stared at the bedroom.
"But..."
"You promised."
