Calm down, HeeRae... this is just a family dinner date—nothing more, nothing less...
OTTEOKEEEE!!!
HeeRae was having a mental breakdown inside the car that YunHo was driving. The car ride was extremely slow and awkward for her... she couldn’t help but to feel small inside the vehicle. He shifts here and there, pretending to have seen something outside. Her heart kept on beating consistently as they pass some few shops and HeeRae has to cower everytime they make a stop in the traffic—she covers her face.
“Are you alright?” YunHo asks. HeeRae peeks from the jacket that YunHo gave her.
“N-neh” HeeRae peeks outside as the car move again. YunHo laughs lightly.
“Don’t worry about getting caught... the car windows are all tinted” YunHo said assuring HeeRae who looks at him in narrowed eyes before getting out of the jacket. “You’ve gotten too suspicious”
“Well... as oppa knows, I can’t really trust someone” HeeRae remarked and YunHo nodded.
“So... you don’t trust oppa?” YunHo asks. HeeRae looks at him... YunHo has this serious face while looking at the road. HeeRae looks down and remembers her childhood memories with YunHo...
When HeeRae ran away from home...
A lonely child sitting by the side of some hostel, with bags packed beside her... it was winter and the people are already rushing to their houses but this child remains at the sidewalk... waiting for someone to just come for her and take her away. But as the night grew colder and darker... no one came for her. Until such time she’s slowly losing consciousness... her eyes droop slowly even though she’ trying hard to fight sleepiness.
One could die if he/she sleeps in the cold.
HeeRae gave up... she finally closes her eyes... her cold face turned pale as the wind freezes her entire body.
And just by the time she lost it all... a warm hand touches her face... distant sounds came to her like echoes. She could feel someone carrying her, but she could just care less about the situation. Life was leaving her...
She opens her eyes for one last time... to see a young man who seemed to be yelling at another person. His jacket was removed and he was just in his sweater. The young man faced her, warm breaths was visible in the cold air.
“Hang in there... hang in there”
HeeRae sighs just in time that YunHo parks the car on some exclusive restaurant. YunHo gets out of the car and opens HeeRae’s car to let her out. He smiles at her gently and offers his hand to her, she kindly took it and smile back at him. Both of them entered the restaurant, HeeRae just hid behind him because some people are looking at them. YunHo was disguised.
“Stop being too elusive” YunHo told her.
“I’m protecting your image!” HeeRae told him as she adjusts the over-sized jacket that doesn’t even seem to fit her. YunHo laughs at her.
“The jacket is too manly for you... you shouldn’t be wearing it” YunHo said. HeeRae smiles lightly.
“You didn’t take that over sized jacket off of me when you first found me...” HeeRae said that made YunHo smile brightly.
...
Back in the Hostel:
Everyone was having dinner made by Ryeowook, everyone was present except for Siwon and DongHae. Ryeowool cooked some japchae, chicken stew, egg rolls, and etc. The members are eating quite well, Eunhyuk was ravishing his food until he chokes up and HeeChul has to tap his back hard while everyone laughs at him, some even scowl at his behaviour.
“Teuk-ah... why aren’t you eating?” Heechul asks, noting that Leeteuk didn’t touch his dinner.
“Ah” Leeteuk smiles at s. “I guess I’m just full” Eunhyuk and ShinDong just exchange looks. They notice that sad aura behind Leeteuk’s smiling face... they had seen it before. Leeteuk stands from his seat and walks towards his room.
“Just eat up guys, I’m not hungry” Leeteuk said and went away.
“Hyung seemed sadder than yesterday” Eunhyuk told SungMin and ShinDong.
“Why is hyung like that?” Ryeowook asks sadly.
“Because... yesterday he found out that HeeRae and YunHo are going to have some dinner together with his family” Eunhyuk said.
“Is he jealous?” Heechul asks as he kept on tweeting on his phone. He smiles everytime Cheulri sends him a message. “Kekekeke~”
“Probably...” Kyuhyun said. “Well he got to just move on” Eunhyuk glared at him darkly.
“Yah... you really don’t know, do you?” Eunhyuk said. “It would be nice if Teukie hyung found someone already”
“Huh? Isn’t he hooking up with other girls?” Kyuhyun frowned.
“No... he’s merely just looking out for some fun, but he was never this serious” ShinDong said sadly. “Hyung never get too serious to those whom he hooks up because he has a scar”
“Scar?” Kyuhyun asks.
“Ah... you’re not with us that time yet” SungMin nodded. “And I guess Ryeowook too? Both you and Kyuhyun don’t know Leeteuk hyung’s past experience” He sisghs.
“There’s a reason why he’s strict with us about dating” ShinDong said. “It took a great deal when I told him I was dating... he nearly even punched me” Kyuhyun gave him a sceptical look and rolls his eyes.
“If it’s too hard for him to accept that Heerae’s on a date, why doesn’t he go on a date with her tomorrow?” Kyuhyun said and continues eating. “Besides... he’s free tomorrow” Eunhyuk and ShinDong exchanges excited looks.
“Magnae, you are brilliant!” Eunhyuk said and grabs Shindong from his seat. “Come on, we need to discuss this with the fish!” The other members stare at them.
“What?” Ryeowook looks at the rest with confusion.
“I know, right?” Heechul sighs. “I never thought Kyuhyun was called ‘brilliant’”
“WHAT?!”

The meeting between YunHo’s family and HeeRae was short. HeeRae was really happy to meet her ‘foster’ mother because YunHo’s mother has been taking care of her too. They talked about HeeRae’s disappearance which devastated Mrs. Jung. HeeRae was a bit guilty that she couldn’t contact them—she was forbidden to. YunHo on the other hand kept on keeping his head down every time Mrs. Jung mentions that he’s had a mental breakdown when he couldn’t find HeeRae that year.
“... if you seen his face dear—aigoo, it’s too depressing!” Mrs. Jung said, YunHo cover’s his face in embarrassment. JiHye, YunHo’s sister was having the pleasure to watch her brother cringe at the moment. “Anyways... if he hadn’t a job, I bet he’d be looking all over Korea for you!”
“Eomma” YunHo warned. Mrs. Jung raised her brow.
“Mwoyah~ It’s real!” Mrs Jung said and HeeRae smiles. “But you know my dear, you’ve grown exceptionally beautiful! You and your sister have some special yet different beauty between you!”
“Gomawoyo, ahjummeonim” HeeRae said. “Your face didn’t change all these years”
“Eiiii, HeeRae” Mrs Jung was flattered. “Oh yeah—HeeRae, do you have a boyfriend?” YunHo snaps his looks towards his mother. HeeRae lets out a nervous laugh.
“Uhm... none at the moment” HeeRae said sheepishly. “The Eonnie-deul are quite protective about the subject” Mrs Jung and Jihye exchanges excited looks.
“Ah... that’s right, you should find a man who is worthy for you” Mrs Jung said, eyeing YunHo as she takes a sip on her glass of juice.
“Neh, someone you know for so long” JiHye pipes in and rolls her eyes at YunHo. HeeRae nervously laughs while YunHo glares at his Mother and Sister.
The dinner date ended pretty soon since JiHye still has to go to school the next day. YunHo’s mother and sister bid goodbyes and hugs HeeRae for the last time before their parting. Both of them took a cab so that means, YunHo doesn’t have to them home... meaning, he’ll be alone with HeeRae as they go home.
“Did you enjoy?” YunHo asks HeeRae. But her mind was preoccupied. “HeeRae?”
“huh?” HeeRae looks at him. “What?” YunHo lets out a small chuckle.
“Did you enjoy?” YunHo asks as he notices HeeRae looking through the parks.
“Neh” HeeRae said softly.
“Sorry, I couldn’t take you out on the parks today” YunHo said that diverts HeeRae’s attention to him. “You always loved parks” HeeRae gave a small laugh.
“And oppa always take me to parks” HeeRae said and looks at the road. YunHo felt sad for the fact he couldn’t take her because of his status right now. “Ahh... I miss those days” YunHo sighs then he thought of something.
“I have an idea” YunHo said.

Damn it...
Leeteuk was on the rooftop of the hostel. He couldn’t sleep so he went to the rooftop to get himself some nice air.
The night was very familiar to him... the summer night’s breeze blew gently on his face... he looks up at the sky and there was not a single star. It was like the same evening where he found HeeRae one night when he was mad at s (A/N: refer to First ELFs chap 45). Leeteuk laughs lightly when he remembers how sarcastic he was to her and blames her for everything.
He looks up again to see a star and he remembers HeeRae’s voice...
“Waaa~~~ a star!” HeeRae exclaimed and Leeteuk looked at her smiling at the distant star.
“It’s not like your first time to see a star” Leeteuk spats. HeeRae grimaced at him.
“No... it’s not” HeeRae said “But considering like it’s the only star tonight makes it special” LEeteuk looked at the star again.
“It’s Leeteuk” HeeRae said, Leeteuk looked at her, surprised.
“What?” Leeteuk asked.
“I said it’s Leeteuk... the star is Leeteuk” HeeRae said, amused. “It’s special in this world... EE as in world... Teuk as is special... right? It’s Leeteuk” She then laughed. LEeteuk couldn’t help but chuckle at her childishness.
“That’s right... I am special... that star is special because it’s the only one up there” Leeteuk said and finally making steps towards HeeRae.
“Nope” HeeRae said. Leeteuk looked at her curiously. “Because... there’s still the moon”
“And?”
“I’m just saying” HeeRae said and smiled... just then...
LeeTeuk saw it... the crescent shape of her lips when smiling... the very shape of the moon.
Yeppeo... neomu yeppeo...
Leeteuk sighs and went towards one of the utility shed room on the rooftop where they kept the broken chairs and anything old. He was going to grab a chair when he heard voices. LEeteuk hid behind the shed and peeks to the new comers. His eyes narrowed as he saw YunHo and HeeRae walking towards the edge of the place and peeks down.
“You always like places where there’s wind” YunHo remarked as HeeRae nods at him. Leeteuk felt his blood curling in anger.
“When oppa couldn’t bring me to the park, you always play with me in the rooftop!” HeeRae laughs. “Ahhh! It’s been a while” YunHo hesitates but he says it anyways.
“You know—when I couldn’t find you, I was always at the SM’s rooftop” YunHo said, HeeRae looks at him curiously.
“Why?” HeeRae asks suddenly, YunHo’s expression was sullen.
“Because... I hoped that I’ll find you there” YunHo looked at the sky while HeeRae felt pain in her heart. “Every time I’m on tour... I’d look for stars out there hoping that you’re doing the same so that I won’t feel that you’re really gone from me”
“Oppa...” HeeRae mumbles.
“But you’re here now...” YunHo said. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there when it happened... I wish I could have done something to at least comfort you... but how on earth did you manage to hide that long from me?” He turns to HeeRae then leans his arms on the porch.
“Mmmm... I was studying high school while composing songs to keep me going with the other eonnie-deul, we find every ways to keep living. The company made us all scholars so we won’t be burdened with tuition fees. Then when I reached 18, I proceeded to Berkeley to study music then I just returned this May” HeeRae explained. YunHo nodded.
“No wonder we don’t ever meet... Our schedules doesn’t even fit” YunHo said.
Leeteuk scoffs... he remembers the very first day where he and the rest of the guys met HeeRae. It was a bit disarming since they all thought she was a new P.A... then they kind of mistreat her. He quietly leans his back behind the shed in frustration. If he was a mad man, he would have thrown YunHo from the building. He hated it... he hated that he’s been feeling uncomfortable. He hated it when his heart reacted everytime HeeRae mentions YunHo’s name, he hated it that she’s with him now and the most thing he hates is the fact that he likes her.
Leeteuk takes a peek again and his eyes grew wide.
YunHo was leaning closer towards HeeRae’s face!
HeeRae stoned at the moment, feeling nervous all of the sudden when YunHo’s face was leaning towards her. Her heart beats faster as she looks at YunHo’s eyes which were staring at her lips. He was closing... she could feel his warm breath...
SungMin: Wait wait wait!!! did they kkiiss???
HeeChul: :O
Eunhyuk: First kiss?!
DongHae: Omo... omomomomomomomoooooo!!!!
Kibum: Poor Teuk hyung...
Kyuhyun: Hyung is a stalker -.o
Ryeowook: DO SOMETHING HYUNG!
