“Are you dating Yoon Seoyeon?” Mrs. Kim asked her son. L frowned, “No, I’m not dating her.” “Then what is with this then? How do you explain this?” She tossed him the newspaper.

L read the headlines and looked at the pictures. He was shocked. He didn’t know that people were taking pictures of them when they were hanging out yesterday.

“What is the meaning of this?” Mr. Kim asked. L looked at his parents and tossed the newspaper onto the coffee table. “Nothing.” He replied. “What?” “It’s nothing. Seoyeon and I are just friends. I was apologizing to her and nothing more.” “THEN WHY DID YOU KISS HER?!” “On the forehead! I kissed her on the forehead.”

Mr. Kim ran a hand through his hair in frustration. “I thought you said you weren’t going to court her. What is this now, huh?!” L glared at his father. “I love her. I love her, okay?! I LOVE YOON SEOYEON!”

Both adults stared at their son with wide eyes.

“You love her?” Mr. Kim scoffed. “You told me that you weren’t going to bother with her.” “I wasn’t. I loved her before she was revealed to the Yoons’ daughter. I’ve loved her for the longest time and she knows it too. She hasn’t accepted me yet, but I’m getting there.” L grumbled.

“Then how do you explain this?” Mr. Kim pointed to the newspaper. “It was an accident. It was just a friendly kiss on the forehead. I got her upset so I took her to Cheonggyecheon to cheer her up and ask for forgiven. Nothing else happened.” L explained.

“Myungsoo, why didn’t you think before you took her out? You know very well that it’s dangerous to be out in public.” Mrs. Kim frowned. L sighed, “I forgot, okay? I just wanted her to forgive me. I wanted Seoyeon to see that I was romantic, that I truly do love her.”

Mrs. Kim softened, “Do you really love her that much?” L nodded, “With my whole heart.” “It’s not for her money or fame?” “No, I love her for her. Nothing else matters but her feelings.”

“Then how do you think she’s dealing with this, hmm?” Mr. Kim asked. L shifted his gaze to his father then looked down at the newspaper. He didn’t want to know because he already knew that she was going to be hurt. He just knew.
