Mystery 6
Going back to his daily routine, Kyuhyun is currently getting dressed to go to his school. He wants to say sorry to Ryeowook without any reason. It’s not like he wanted to take that precious notebook away from him. And it’s a huge deal for Kyuhyun. He really doesn’t know why but he couldn’t take it off his mind.
“I’m going now.” He softly said and headed at the front door quietly, without interrupting Siwon’s conversation about work through the phone.
It was raining hard today and anyone can get easily wet. But being a simple man he is, he only takes buses to school. He doesn’t want a car nor own one. He simply has a bicycle and all he wants to spend his money are on laptops and videogames.
He arrived at his destination a little late due to the heavy, pouring rain. But what surprises him is seeing the school closed.
“Ryeowook?”
(Kyuhyun’s Pov)
“Ryeowook?” I saw him standing outside the school gate. Wet. I ran to him, letting him get protected from the cold rain drops by my umbrella.
“You two! What are you doing here?” A guard came out while gesturing his hand like saying ‘go home’. “Classes are suspended for today because of the typhoon! You guise should watch the news more often! Now go home before you swim in flood or something.”
Suspended?
My money is wasted... bus ticket, efforts wasted. I should be home playing games...
But Ryeowook is here and I can apologize.
“We get it, sir. Thank you.” I said and bowed slightly to the guard.
“Kyuhyun-ssi?”
Oh ...
“Lieutenant LeeTeuk?” I looked back to see him. He was wearing casual clothes. Black jacket, white shirt and jeans paired up with vans.
“What are you two love birds doing here?” He spoke as he fixed the hold on his black umbrella.
“We didn’t know that the classes are suspended.” I replied.
“I see...” He nodded. “You two should go home now. This storm is getting strong.” He smiled, letting his little dimple come out.
“Okay, sir...” I bowed as a sign of respect. And automatically, Ryeowook does the same.
“But it’s dangerous to go out there all alone, especially that you only have one umbrella.”
And we ended up going to LeeTeuk’s... I couldn’t decline. And Ryeowook is not saying a word. LeeTeuk was right anyway. It’s dangerous to go now with this strong, heavy rain going on. And I can’t let Ryeowook go without an umbrella. I wasn’t sure if he will accept my help too. So maybe this is a good thing for now. We have to show this lieutenant too that Ryeowook is not a bad guy as well.
And now LeeTeuk is at the kitchen, preparing hot coffees for us. He was kind. He even gave us spare clothes to change our wet ones.
“Ryeowook-ssi?”
He only continued to fold his wet clothes and put it where LeeTeuk wants us to put it.
“I’m sorry...” I said what I want to say. From that moment, he actually looked back at me and fixed his bangs away from his eyes, tucking it back to his ears.
“F-For what?” He looked at me straight in the eyes, seemingly shocked from my words.
“Well... you know... the notebook thing...?”
“That? I-It’s alright... I just treasure that notebook so much that I never let anyone touch it besides me.” He explained and looked down. I nodded, hesitating to ask about that notebook.
“It belongs to my hyung... In fact, you remind me of him, Kyuhyun-ssi...”
Huh? His hyun
