Taemin POV:

As I walked in the clear pavement of the street I couldn't stop thinking about those words. The words he told Chohee and the words she told him. I looked over at Key who just had a wide smile at him. I wondered what he smiled at.

I sighed and looked over at the other guys in the back just slightly. Onew was focused on his fingernails, Minho off into his thoughts again and finally Jonghyun looking at someone with furrowed eyebrows. He has been at it since he woke up. I moved my head over to the left to see what he was staring at.

"Chohee?" I whispered to myself. She had a thinking face as well. I wonder what she was thinking of. I am not going to lie to myself but she looked distant ever since yesterday when Minho found her.

I smiled and kicked my foot around. Her face when I handed her the clothes was cute. That is kind of unexpected for me although. I shrugged my shoulders and kept walking. ‘But what was she trying to say when she asked Key that.

"Have you ever done something you will regret your whole life?" Why would she ask that? Was it a regret that made her cry like that yesterday? But when Key answered to her she only rolled her hand into a fist. I hummed in the many possibilities that popped up in my head.

"Regretting is fine, but it's better to leave it and forget it" “Kind of like forgetting the past and focusing in the present which will help you in the future"

I grunted at the lack of imagination I had. The only thing that I could inquire was that she lost her puppy or something. I grunted again. ‘That’s so childish’ I told myself.

I then bobbed my head playfully and thought out a song to sing in my head. Carefully scrolling in my head for a catchy song to sing an isolated voice trickled into my ears. Turning around I saw a shocked Chohee and an interested Jonghyun. I tried to keep walking but curiosity overcame me.

“Why were you running and from what?” He asked her. She stood still while looking down on the ground. She started rolling her hands into a fist again while sniffling. I stopped from my footsteps and went over to help her out when someone else did it for me.

“Jonghyun let’s let her speak when she wants too” His deep voice made everyone else stop. Jonghyun just scowled at Minho and walked past us. I exchanged glances with Key. Key just shrugged his shoulders and kept on walking. “Are you okay?” He asked her. I raised my hand up to speak to her but a sigh came out and I had no choice but to just keep walking as well.

‘I wonder what is making her so heartbroken though’ Sorting things out in my head I still couldn't leave that thought. Annoyed with myself an idea popped up in my head. I raised my hand into a fist in the air and began to say words I thought I would never see myself saying.

“If I can't figure out what the problem is then why not figure out from no one else but her" Smiling  I looked down at my feet. "I will find out what’s the problem before anyone else” I promised. Looking back at her and Minho together though I couldn't help but think that the promise I just made will fail miserable. I did grow curious though afterwords.

"What are they talking about so much?" I asked myself.

"That's it!?"

"Yes, I guess"

"But I didn't...."

"Hmmm?"

"Nevermind" I turned around and walked away.  'So much for a good day' I muttered to myself. What turned out like a good interesting day ended a failure. 

"Come on Taemin, at least you won once?" Hearing someone comfort me from behind I turned around with a red face on me.

"But I did not-" When I looked at the face I couldn't help but stop from my almost to give speech. The person smiled at me slightly while I just stared in confusment. 

"What's wrong?" The person suddenly croaked, turning red in emberassment. Opening my mouth to speak I couldn't find much words to say.

"I lost" Was all I managed to whisper. I saw her slightly smiling which only made me gasp. This was the first time I saw her actually smile. "You just smiled" I blurted out in excitment. She turned red and turned around emberassed. 

"Okay, was that bad?" She said once she turned around and looked at me. I smirked.

"No. Earlier I told you that I would be able to make you smile before the day ends and so I did" I answered to her question. She looked down and smiled even more. "Come on admit it" I tugged her gently on her shoulders. 

"Tell you what?" She asked quietly. I smiled even more.

"What you promised to say if I was able to make you smile" I insurred her with a gentle voice. I didn't want to seem bossy before I even get to know her. 

"Taemin, can make anyone smile and he is the best" She whispered. I put me hand over her back and patted it. 

"It's okay, you are the best too" I then turned around and began to walk away, still in anger when remembering the situation.

"Wait...Taemin" She croaked once more. I stopped from my steps and turned around. She moved her feet around nervously which only made me aww in the way she looked like a little girl in trouble. 

"Thanks for lending me the clothes...I didn't have time to thank you today" She finally looked up at me and smiled.

Smiling at how cute she looked when nervous I didn't have any other choice but hugging her. Of course she wasn't showing cuteness on purpose, I knew she was nervous so it didn't count as using aegyo (Cuteness) to make the situation better. 

"Anything for a friend" I whispered for only she could hear me. After that though I felt sniffles. Confused I looked around too see who it was when it hit me. The wet tears I felt on my chest then made me understand who was crying. I hugged her even more tightly now and started to her hair to help her settle down.

"Taemin...." She said rather quietly. 

"Yes?"

"Thanks" She croaked. I smiled and hummed.

'This is the start to a great friendship'
