Dongwoo made good on his promise. Sungkyu had been doubtful, but Dongwoo insisted upon helping Haneul. As he had argued, Haneul had nothing to lose and so much to regain. And although he didn't say it out loud, Sungkyu understood that by helping Haneul remember her family, Dongwoo was subconsciously making an effort to let go of his own. He needed this as much as Haneul did.
For Haneul, it was more than frustrating to have her entire identity just beyond her grasp. The visions that she kept having, as vague as they may have been, felt so close and so real that she could practically reach out and feel them. She had remembered her own name, right? That was a start. And then there was that garden, the palace she kept seeing, and the door. That door. She was sure she had even seen the faces of other angels, but their features seemed to slip her mind every time she tried to focus on them.
What did these visions mean? Were they experiences that she was gradually remembering, or were they some sort of channel between her mind and the world she had left? She didn't know what this human 'herbalist' could do for her, but if Dongwoo was hopeful then it was worth a shot. She seemed to be learning more and more new and surprising things from these humans every day, and she had learned by now not to underestimate these complex creatures.
Sungjong and Sungyeol thought it was a great idea. They wished Haneul good luck and made her promise to tell them all kinds of angel stories when she got her memory back. Woohyun didn't seem to care, or at least he didn't show it, but Hoya was more skeptical. He bluntly stated that it was a waste of time and that it wouldn't do them any good if she was stuck on Earth anyways. It was a good thing Haneul wasn't in the room when he said it, or else the bruise on Hoya's shoulder would have been much worse after getting smacked by Sungkyu for saying such a thing.
L, however, was more bothered by the idea of Haneul regaining her memory. Of course it would be great; L knew what it was like—that undying curiosity of what used to be, that desperate feeling of not knowing where he came from. All he ever wished for was to at least remember what his parents' faces looked like, but even that seemed to be too much to ask. L's past was a blur to him, and he tried not to think about it anymore because it only made him more aggravated that he couldn't remember. All he was concerned about was his life with Infinite, because that was all that mattered now. But did recovery for Haneul mean that she would be able to go back to wherever she came from? Would she leave as soon as she
