Chapter 23 : The New fiancé
Faye POV
I looked down at the boxes that I was holding onto . In these very boxes were Kris’s present . I walked back to the palace with Kai , I looked down , I honestly wanted to find out more information on Kai but it was Kris’s birthday , I can’t NOT go , I mean , I am his fiance . Ayi walked behind me , probably lost in her thoughts , I stopped . “ Is there really a point for me to go back to palace ?” I said aloud , I didn’t notice that I had stopped once Ayi stood in front of me , looking up at me . “ I mean-” I elaborated . “ I am the very Lady that had been kidnapped-”
“ But , My Lady,” Ayi injected . “ They had kept it a secret that you had gone missing-” I lifted my hand up and nodded . I understand , I need to go but something in my heart was pulling me away from the palace , I can sense something is going to happen . I held in a breath as we stood in front of the gate’s , with the guards standing very still . A Bit TOO still . “ Lady Yu , The Fiancé of the Huang Taizi has arrived-” Ayi bowed and made space for me to move , I stepped closer to that gate until that I heard shouting . “ LADY YU ! MOVE !” My eyes widened as I felt myself being pulled .
The guards pushed me away from the gate . “ We were told not to let you in,” my heart froze . I could feel everything warm inside me go cold , I turned to them and took of my hood .
“ What are you saying ?” I questioned . “ This is where I live…” I could feel panic begin to emerge , the guards just looked at me in pity .
“ I’m sorry , your highness,” One of the guards bowed , I stepped back . “ We were told by the King himself-” What ?!
“ N-no..” I whispered , what was the meaning of this ?

Kris POV
“ What ?!” I growled at my father , he just leant back on the chair . “ Why can’t Faye come ?” I roared , I could feel the people around me , trying to stop me from strangling my father . “ WHAT DID YOU DO ?!” My father sighed and looked at me .
“ Son,” He got up , “ Lady Yu is not alive , how can she come then ?” I paused before him , I sighed and ruffled my hair , making everyone look at me confused . “ Yi Fan--”
“ I just saw her a few moments ago , Baba..”
“ Yi Fan , stop it , it seems as though your going crazy ,” Father shook his head at me and then breathed in , “ Lady Yu is long gone , she hasn’t been found for such a long time , we can only say she is dead,” I look at Kai who looked equally as shocked .
“ Baba..”
“ YI FAN SHUT UP!” Father twisted to face me , his face full of anger . “ Get over her ! She is dead !” He breathed in angrily , I flinched and turned to see my Mama , sitting on her throne , her eyes gone back too the emotionless eyes they were . I breathed in a ragged breath . “ Lady Yu is long gone..therefore , I have placed another engagement,” The doors opened to reveal a girl . A girl I had loved . “ You will be marrying Lady Kang that is final…”
I stood there frozen . Why aren’t I happy ? Didn’t I want to marry her ? I breathed in again and again , No..I want Faye . I Need her . She’s the one that deserves to be with me . I closed my eyes , Faye..come ..please..come quickly .
" Baby...i refuse..." I looked at him dead in the eyes.

Please…tell me…is this a dream or a nightmare ?
{A/N : for those who are confused , this speech above it basically what both of them are thinking , so Kris and Faye are thinking the same thing}
A/N : Ayo~Wassup ? I'm back..well only for a while . i'm so sorry i haven't written for a long time or i haven't updated /bows down/ I've been having SEVERAL and i mean SEVERAL exams these past few weeks/months and i couldn't take it anymore , so when i got home , I'd sleep...so yeah . Sorry , Here is a snippet of the chapter and i want all your thoughts on it .
