Chapter 10
The Unwilling Bride
"Today is the day! Yeah! I can't wait!" Bom squealed as they headed to their tour bus. It was an exclusive trip for them courtesy of their great Papa YG.
"Oh by the way unnie, how was your sleep? Did you sleep well?" CL asked while stealing knowing glances to Minzy and Bom.
"Yeah unnie. How was it? I really got a hard time sleeping in a small bed. I'd been tossled on the floor for how many times." Minzy added.
"Y-you don't really have to ask.Y-you know how I ranted about it last night ." Dara said, completely uncomfortable of the topic. She still remembered how close 'they' were last night.
"But I really wondered how you fit in there. You see, I'm with Chae-unnie and we had a hard time fitting in, how much more with Seunghyun-sshi?"Minzy dramatically said.
"I guess it was the same for us. It was even torture. I never got some decent sleep" Seven complained.
"So? Aren't you gonna tell us something Dara-yah?" Bommie said while batting her eyelashes.
"W-what are you talking about?" Dara feigned innocence.
"come on, talk! There's something you need to tell!" Bom urged her. But minutes passed, she's still not talking. They finally reached the bus. Seunghyun and Teddy were inside already.
"Hmp.You're still not saying anything?! Fine! Seunghyun-sshi~! I'm gonna ask you something,!" Bom was about to go to him when she stopped her.
"What will I tell you?! I don't have anything to say!" She nervously said.
" Ooh~ you don't?! Then I'll just ask Seumghyun-sshi. Maybe he has something to say." Bom ran towards the direction of Seunghyun.
'Ask him? No!'
She has to stop her. Who knows what will Seunghyun tell her? She had to be sure. He was sitting at the back of the bus so it take all her might to reach him. On the other hand, Bommie was near him.
'Oh goodness no way!!'
She did all her best to reach her. She was near them and she saw her about to say a word.
'No way!'
She ran with full force, hoping she could stop her . But before she could do so, Bom scurried away.
Dazed by her sudden action, she didn't realize she couldn't stop herself from running.
And the next thing she knew, she fell into Seunghyun's arms.
Loud whistles could be heard.
"Yah unnie! Did you miss Seunghyun-oppa that much? Kekeke. " The maknae teased.
They all couldn't stop themselves from giggling after she said that.
Shyly, she abruptly stood up and kept her distance. She was about to sit next to Bom in the second to the last row of the bus when Bom spoke.
"Chaerin! Come here! And you too maknae! Sit beside me." Bom called the two, who were standing.
"Bommie what about me?" Dara pouted.
"What about you?" She shrugged. The two sat beside her.
"Where will I sit?!" Dara asked
"You have a fiancee to attend to. Go sit next to him." Bom dismissively said.
"So now you don't want me anymore? I'm hurt. Hmp." Dara defeatedly sighed and sat next to him.He sat beside the window so she followed suit.
"Hmp. Why am I always stuck with him" She whispered.
It will be a twenty minute-travel to their first destination. She observed them as they were comfortably sitting. Apparently they sat at the back part of the bus. They were the only passenger in this bus so they felt free. She watched as Seven and Teddy exchanged jokes
in the third last row. She also watched as her three co-members slept lazily without care in the world. She was envious. They were relaxed.
While she, on the other hand, was bored to death. She didn't want to sleep. She had a good night's sleep last night and she
didn't want to elaborate. Added to that, she was dizzy. She was not fond of sitting at the back because she was feeling dizzy everytime.
She sighed and he heard her.
"What?" He asked.
"What what?!"
"Why are you sighing ?"
"Because you are a booooring company." She emphasized the word boring.
"I'm not forcing you to be with me." He said with boredom.
"Yeah right. As if my conscience could take the fact that you're alone." She silently ranted while pouting.
She didn't want him to be so out of place. So even if she didn't want to, she has to accompany him.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing. I said I was just gonna sleep instead of talking to you." She said then decided to sleep.
She closed her eyes. She hummed to herself. She rested her back but after a while dizziness seemed to overcome her. She held her head and massaged her temples.
Seunghyun was looking at the window when he noticed her massaging her temples.
"What happened?"
"Nothing. Just a little dizzy." She said dismissively.
"You're not used to travelling?" He asked.
"Yes. And since I was at the back, it got worse." She explained while rubbing her temples again.
Come to think of it. It was the most easy-going conversation they had so far. They were quiet for a while.
His next action made her stunned. He stood up abruptly and dragged her in front.
"Where are we going? Hey! The bus is moving! Where are you taking me?" She hissed.
He didn't say anything as he dragged her. He stopped int the front seat and placed her by the window while he sat beside her. Then, he got his music player from his pocket and placed one of the earphones in her ear and the other on his.
"What is this?" She questioned.
"Music will make you feel a bit well. If it still attacks, lean a bit on my shoulder" He said nonchalantly.
"But why are you doing this?" She questioned his motives.
"I just don't want you complaining everytime. So technically, it was to shut you up."
She scoffed at his reply. "Meanie" She closed her eyes and absorbed the music. He had some good song choice to say the least. She enjoyed it as she bobbed her head.
There were noises everywhere. And a lot of giggling. Wondering what was that, she slowly opened her eyes.
She was greeted by three giggling faces with phone on one hand.
Groggily, she asked them.
"What are you doing?" She asked while she was leaning onto something she didn't know.
"It's sweet! Kyaahhh!" The maknae giggled while snapping her phone.
"What is sweet?" She asked while she accustomed herself in her surroundings.
Apparently she fell asleep while...
She looked at her side and horror struck her when she saw she was leaning to his shoulders too comfortably for her liking.
She stood up straight while he just looked at him. She turned her gaze to the three who was still snapping some photos.
"Yah stop it!!!"
The three obediently stopped and looked at the pictures while giggling.
"See this unnie! It's awesome right?! Maybe I should switch from becoming a photographer." Minzy boastfully said.
"Erase that! Why are you envading my privacy! And you, why didn't you stop them? You're basically not asleep!" She pointed her finger at him.
"Why would I? They enjoy capturing my handsome face. Now why would I stop them?" He smirked.
"Huh! Conceited! Yah I'm warning you three! Delete that!" She turned her attention to them. She didn't want to lose her temper to the arrogant pig just like that. She couldn't afford losing their deal.
"As much as I love to see the action here, we have a tour to do, so move your butts out and let us out." Seven suddenly said.
They were standing in front of the bus so the three were really blocking the way.
"Killjoy! W-wait! We're here already?!!! Kyaahhh!" Bom shouted when she realized where they were.
They arranged their stuff, brought their valuable things and exited the bus.
The place was breathtaking. The surroundings were truly amazing. They explored the scenery with delight. Their eyes were sparkling with amusement.
It took them many hours to wander. By the time they were finished picture taking and admiring, Dara felt the hunger.
"Aigoo I'm hungry~" She ranted.
"Oh my little rabbit is hungry. Where do you want to eat?" Bom asked as she walked beside her bestfriend.
"Hmmmm... let's see. I'm craving for seafood!" She happily chanted.
"Then seafood it is!" Bom exclaimed.
They headed to eat lunch at a seaside restaurant.
"Let's see what will I order. Hmmm... " Dara looked at the menu with sparkling eyes.
"Well, for me, I'll have this tuna" Bom said.
"I guess I also have that one plus this abalone" CL pointed.
"Uhm, I'll have this flatfish" Seven ordered.
"Make that two." Teddy seconded.
"You maknae, what do you want?" Dara asked.
"Hmmm., I want crabs."
"Ok crabs for you . Now, for me, kekekeke. I want this one" She pointed at the shrimps. "and this one" pertaining to the oysters. "And this one!" She exclaimed while she pointed at the squid.
The group were shocked. Their jaws dropped.
"You really can finish that all unnie?" Minzy wondered.
"Of course!" She smiled dreamily.
"You Seunghyun-sshi? Aren't you gonna order?" CL asked as he observed him not ordering anything.
" Uhm, I'll just have... " He looked at the menu. "This soup."
"Is that all?" CL inquired.
"Yes. I'm not that hungry." He said dismissively.
After ordering, they chatted for a while.
"Aigoo~ I can't wait! I'm really really hungry." Dara exclaimed all of a sudden.
"Just wait unnie. It will be here for a while." Minzy consoled.
"Omo! Here it is!" Bom squealed as she saw their orders.
"Yeah!" Dara happily chanted.
The waiter placed their orders. They happily digged in. Dara was about to eat, when she saw the maknae having problems with her food.
"Having problems Minkkie?" She asked.
"Aniyo! It's fine unnie." Minzy continued battling with her food.
"Aigoo~ give me that."
"But unnie~"
"Give it. I'm waiting." She said as she raised her plate, waiting for her to place the crab.
"Fine." She defeatedly obeyed.
She opened the crab easily. She gave the crab meat she was getting to Minzy's plate.
"What?! Eat! Don't mind me." She said as she continued what she was doing.
"But unnie~ you're the one who's very hungry." Minzy said.
"I'm ok. I'll eat after this."
"But..."
"Eat." She placed the crab meat again.
She was intently getting the crab meat when it suddenly disappeared.
"Yah. W-what are you doing?" She exclaimed.
"Eat this first so that you'll not get indigestion." He gave her his soup while he continued
her job of getting crab meat.
"Yah!" She tried to get the crab from him when he slapped her hand.
"I said eat."
"But what about you?"
"I'm not hungry and besides I'm allergic to seafood." He said nonchalantly and continued what he was doing. He placed the crab meat to the maknae's plate.
"You're allergic to seafood?! Then why didn't you say so?!" She angrily said.
"How could I? Your eyes literally sparkled as you mentioned the word seafood. I can't handle your disgusting expression so I didn't complain." He said smugly.
"Hmp. Always a meanie. But still!! You should've said so! Now, what will you eat? Aish. You're really guilt tripping me." She pouted.
"Just eat." He placed the spoon into her hand. He continued his work. "Don't worry my hands are clean" He said as he placed another crab meat.
Dara relunctantly ate the soup.
The group couldn't help but watch their conversation. They couldn't help but be amazed that this arrogant guy is sensitive. They thought his cold aura manifested his attitude.
Apparently, they're wrong because they're witnessing this one of a kind situation.
On the other hand, Dara was feeling guilty. She knows that he's also hungry despite saying he's not.
'Man and their pride.'
She was intently thinking when she suddenly remembered the chicken sandwich on her bag. When she found it, she gave it to him.
"After you finish that, eat this. Even though it's only sandwich, it will do for a while. I'll just buy you something later." She said.
He didn't say anything.
Even if she gave the sandwich, she was still a bit bothered.
"Don't think too much. Just eat. No one's gonna finish that for you. And besides, you should not order a lot if you couldn't finish that." He reprimanded.
"You think I couldn't finish this all?"
"Yes."
"Then you don't know me that much." She said then started digging her food heartily.
"Mmmmm... Don't be so envious Tabi." She said when she noticed him looking at her.
"I'm not. You ate like a pig. Are you sure you're even a girl?" He teased.
"Yah! How dare you say that?!"
"Tsk. See! Look at you! You're a mess." He said then wiped the dirt on her face.
"Hmp. Neat freak." She pouted while she let him attend to her. When he finished, he went back to his work.
Unknown to them, the observers were once again shocked by their interaction. It seemed natural for them. They didn't know they slowly grew comfortable with each other's presence.
The group ate their food while still watching the couple.
After eating, they explored the place one more time. Then they headed to two more destination. They all loved it. They explored great sites and wonders of nature. Now, they were down to their last spot and a certain female was very excited.
"Beach! Beach! Beach!! Yehey!" She happily cheered.
They were now seated at the front part of the bus. They changed location so that they could get close to the couple.
"You're really childish." Seunghyun whispered but loud enough to be heard by her.
"Yah! I'm not childish! Just excited."
"Then you're childishly excited."
"Yeah right. A certain grumpy person said." She teased.
"Now you're the one calling me names. Grumpy huh?"
"Yeah and boring too! You see, I really think you're a stone. When we toured, I never saw you cracked a smile. Tsk. You really don't appreciate the nature." She mused.
"Maybe because it's not that good for me. I've seen much more beautiful."
She was about to argue when she remembered their deal. "Tsk." Was her only reply.
When he saw this, he commented. "You're really good at controlling your temper so far. I'm amazed."
"Of course! Let's just say I'm intent on getting out of your house."
"Well, let's see princess. Let's see." He said mysteriously.
"It's beautiful." Dara admired the beach.
"Look at you. You're easily amazed over trivial things." Seunghyun commented.
"Shut up."
They were down to their last destination. They didn't bring any swimwear so they just walked into the beach.
Dara watched as the group admire the scenery. She sat and looked at the beach.
"Unnie! Don't go senti mode on us!" Minzy said as she sat next to her.
"Picture!!" Bom exclaimed. She snapped a photo of them. She sat next to Minzy.
Soon, the others followed.
"Group picture!!" She said once again.
"Now I want some couple picture. Yah Seunghyun-sshi, come here." CL said as she dragged him next to Dara. "Unnie!"
Without being said twice, she took the picture.
"Perfect!" The maknae chanted when she saw the picture.
They all sat in silence. They watched the sun about to set.
"Aigoo~ it's cold" Minzy exclaimed.
"It's because you wear that thin fabric. Who told you to wear that in a cold weather?" Bom reprimanded.
"Hmp." Minzy pouted as she embraced herself.
"Now suffer the consequence." CL said.
Dara watched the scene unfold. She couldn't bear Minzy to suffer so she wear her jacket off and gave it to the maknae.
"Maknae! Wear this!" She handed her the jacket.
"Unnie, it's ok!" Minzy declined.
"No it's not. I can't afford you to be sick. Here." She stood up then put the jacket onto her.
"Don't you dare wear that off. Arasso?!" She threatened.
"Fine unnie. You're always taking care of me."
"Of course. I love our maknae."
"Then how about you? How can your fragile body take care of this cold weather." Seunghyun butted in.
"I can take care of myself. I'm not that weak you know. Yah CL-roo! Let's go!" She dragged CL and they ran towards the sea.
"Aish that girl." Seunghyun said then walked out.
"Aigoo~ where is he going?" Bom asked.
"Don't know."Minzy shrugged.
"Weird guy. Yah Minzy let's go and have some fun." Bom dragged her.
After a while, Seunghyun came back with a jacket on one arm.
"Where is she?" He asked Seven and Teddy with authority.
"There." Teddy pointed into Dara's direction.
"Why is my picture like this?!" He heard Dara saying.
He arrived at her place.
"Yah! Stand up." He said.
She didn't follow him and instead continue scanning the pictures.
"Aish."He held her arm and made her stand.
"Yah. What do you-" She didn't get to finish saying her words as she watched him puting his jacket to her.
"I know it's too big for you but don't you dare remove it." He looked at her and say. "Don't say anything."
"Fine" she went back seeing the photos after he put the jacket.
Suddenly, she laughed. Hard.
"Minkkie! Send this to me!! Ppalli!!" She said to the maknae.
"What is that unnie?" Minzy looked at the photo and laughed together with her. "Aigoo~ here it's sent."
"Kekeke" she laughed as she looked at the oblivious Seunghyun.
"What?" He wondered.
"Nothing~" She smiled cruelly.
He sensed something wrong and he knows he was part of it. "Yah! What is that?"
"Tabi~ I didn't know you have such handsome face.~" She said as she showed him the mysterious photo.
He looked at it for awhile before it finally sank into his system.
"Yah!" He chased her when he recovered from the shock.
"Catch me if you can Tabi~" She said then ran with all her might. "You can't catch me!!!~"
Apparently, that picture she showed was a picture of him with his mouth opened wide while sleeping. He didn't know when they take that.
It will ruin his image. And he couldn't let that.
They ran around in circle. Finally, after ten torturous minutes , he was able to catch her.
He picked her phone. "Where is that delete button when you need it?!! Damn it!!"
Seunghyun shouted as his hands were shaking.
"Aigooo. kekekeke! Omo look at your hilarious face Tabi!!!" She clutched her stomach.
"What?! It's all your fault!!" He said. Because he was frantic, he couldn't delete the photo. "Damn!!!"
"You should see your face!!! Omo!" She laughed.
"Why are you laughing? It's not funny!"
"It is!" She laughed once again.
"You dare laugh at me, huh?" He glared and stepped forward towards her.
She noticed that and knew she was in trouble.
"Oh-oh" Then she ran again.
"You really liked being chased, princess. " He said then ran.
Throughout their conversation, the group was intently watching them once again. They couldn't believe they were the witness to this scene. They really couldn't believe.
Imagine a tall, serious man like Seunghyun, was running like a child just to chase a childish woman like Dara for a petty reason of laughing.
'Hell must be freezing over' they all thought in their minds.
