Mrs Jung's tears fell down her face,
as all kinds of feelings rushed through her heart and mind.

"Go.. home.." sobbed Jessica softly,
not wanting to face Mrs Jung.

She was hurt,
for sure.
Now, standing right beside her was her mum.
The loving figure shes been asking for ever since she was admitted into the hospital.

But she couldnt accept her.
Couldnt allow Mrs Jung to stay by her side because shes afraid that Mr Jung will be here,
again just to scold her.
She couldnt risk getting herself another heartbreak.

"Sweetie, omma promise you"
"Appa wont be here to scold you" said Mrs Jung sincerely as she wiped her tears away,
holding onto Jessica's warm hands.

Mrs Jung didnt know how much more can this pair of warm hands be in hers.

"Appa.. will scold you.. and me.."
"Go home.." repeated Jessica weakly, 
with a soft coughing fit.

Mrs Jung was rubbing her back gently,
trying to ease her pain a little.

"Appa.. doesnt love.. Jessi.."
"Anymore.."
"Omma.. go home.."

Mrs Jung's tears started falling again.
She couldnt help but brought Jessica into her warm arms.

"Sweetie"
"You're still omma's daughter"
"Omma's princess"
"Omma still love you"
"Appa too, dont, dont cry"

Jessica coughed again as tears fell off her face.
Returning Mrs Jung's hug.

"Omma.." sobbed Jessica sadly as she tightened her arms around Mrs Jung.
"I dont know.."
"Dont know how long.. can i hold you.."
"To be in your embrace.."
"But appa.."
"Doesnt want.. to.."

"Sweetie.."
"Omma will be here for you"
"You'll be fine, you hear me?!" 

Jessica shook her head.

"I know, i wont.."
"Omma.."
"I love you.."

"Omma loves you too" said Mrs Jung with a forced smile.

"Omma.."
"Can i go home..?"
"I dont want to.. stay here anymore.."
"It hurts so much.."
"Omma.. please.."

Mrs Jung frowned as she broke the hug.
Holding onto Jessica's arms gently,
she looked worried.

"But it will make you feel better" lied Mrs Jung with a forced smile.

"Please..?" asked Jessica again,
with heavy breathing.

Mrs Jung sighed as she helped Jessica back onto her bed.

"I'll be right back"
"I'll talk to the doctors first"

Jessica finally let out a soft smile and nodded while Mrs Jung left the room.
Right after she left the room,
her tears burst from her eyes like a broken tap water.

Yuri held onto Mrs Jung's wrist.

"Are you really gonna let her home?" asked Yuri worriedly.

Mrs Jung shrugged sadly.

"I dont know"
"But she really wants to go home"
"I've to consult the doctors first"

"Why do you want to let her home?"
"You want her to suffer more heartbreaks than what she have?"
"You can bear to make her suffer more heartbreaks, i cant"
"I really cant"
"I cant bear to see her tears anymore" said Yuri pleadingly.
"So please, think Mrs Jung"
"Think, i beg you"

Mrs Jung put her hands on Yuri's shoulder with an apologetic expression.

"Hey, Yuri"
"I know"
"I know we've hurt her too much"
"But now, this is something we can do for her, isnt it?"

Yuri was getting helpless and desperate then.

"No!"
"You're sending her down to her grave!" exploded Yuri in tears.
"I dont want that to happen!"
"I need her, please!"
"I still need her desperately!"

"Yuri, come and follow me" said Mrs Jung with a sigh as she led Yuri away from the ward.

"Secretary Shin" called Mr Jung as he made a surprise visit to his office which he had been away for sometime,
only with Jessica in it.

"Yes Mr Jung?" replied his secretary a little shock at his presence.
"Jessica-sshi is not here yet"
"Or for days" said his secretary almost immediately,
afraid to get another scolding from Mr Jung.

Mr Jung nodded coldly.

"I know"
"I want you to check some things for me"
"First, i want to see the incharge for Jessi's internship"
"Secondly, can you get Choi Sooyoung from the internship level to see me too?"
"Thirdly, recently, there was an incident of someone being trapped in our cold storage"
"I want you to check who was behind it and everything"

Secretary Shin's eyes widened at the sudden amount of work she was given.
To add on, the time given was kind of shock.

"And let me know by the end of the day" said Mr Jung strictly as he sat down on back in his seat.

Secretary Shin nodded and scurried off immediately.
She knew that Mr Jung was back for good,
judging at the situation.
She knew that working with Mr Jung were never that enjoyable as compared to Jessica.
She knew Mr Jung were harsh and cold but Jessica were understanding.
But its her job, an important one since she had to keep her family going.

Not wanting to offend Mr Jung,
secretary shin went of fto get Sooyoung up,
as well as the incharge of Jessica's internship.

15 minutes later,
secretary Shin gave Mr Jung's office a knock before entering with two figures behind her.

"Here"
"Mr Jung"
"This is Choi Sooyoung" said secretary Shin as she pointed to the tall slim figure with a bob hairstyle.
"And she is the incharge"
"Ms Kang"

Ms Kang smiled seductively at Mr Jung,
battling her fake long eye lashes at him.

Mr Jung cleared his throat.

"I would deeply appreciate that Ms Kang"
"if you could keep your eye lashes to stop moving"
"And if you dont know, one of the sides are dropping off" said Mr Jung rudely as he rolled his eyes disgusted.

Ms Kang immediately raised her hands up and fiddled with her fake eyes lashes.
Indeed, one of the sides were falling off.
immediately, cheeks turned into a bright shade of red.

"So Ms Kang"
"You're incharge of the interns this year right?"
"The ones from Singapore?"

Ms Kang nodded with her head casted downwards.

"Have you ever come across this intern called Jessica Jung Sooyeon?"

Ms Kang nodded again but her head shot up immediately.

"She was dismissed from the school!"

"And why may i ask?"

Inside Ms Kang's heart,
she was wondering.
Wondering who exactly was Jessica that made Mr Jung spend so much effort to talk to her about.

"Because she didnt attend her internship for weeks!'
"No valid reason or anything so i had to tell her school about it!" 

Sooyoung's eyes widened as she glared at Ms Kang.

"Who said she didnt!"
"She was sick!"
"She had medical certificate!"
"She left it on your desk when you were bloody sleeping!" scolded Sooyoung in return.

She was fuming mad.
She couldnt stand Ms Kang anymore.
She didnt bother about her grades anymore.
She wanted to stand up for Jessica.

"I didnt!" defended Ms Kang immediately.

But even a 3 year old kid can see through her eyes that she were lying.

"Nevertheless, there was nothing on my desk!"

Sooyoung rolled her eyes.

"Obviously there was someone else who did something"
"Are you naive or what!" rebutted Sooyoung rudely, with her arms crossed.

Mr Jung frowned.

"Ms Kang, before i tell you what im gonna do with you"
"I would like you to know something"

"Of course, Mr Jung" smiled Ms Kang ily at Mr Jung.

"This is my last time repeating it Ms Kang"
"Please mind your behaviour and tone!" said Mr Jung strictly.

Sooyoung let out a soft chuckle.

"Jessica Jung Sooyeon"
"Do you sense any similarity between us?"
"Well, not to keep you in suspension"
"She's my daughter"
"The daughter of the Jungs Corp"
"Did you know?"
"DID YOU KNOW?!" boomed Mr Jung loudly, 
with anger in his voice.

"Dont think i dont know how you've been treating her!"
"You think she doesnt have any parents to love and take care of her?!"
"Do you really think that way?!"
"Pushing all the work to her when she dont even require to do that much?!"
"Do you know what your actions had led to?!" exploded Mr Jung angrily,
but with sadness and guilt in his eyes.

"Your.. daughter..?" stuttered Ms Kang in shock.

"Thats my daughter for you alright!"
"Now, get out of my office and building immediately"
"Im giving you only an hour to pack your stuff up and leave" snapped Mr Jung as he turned his body around,
back facing Ms Kang.

Mr Jung's heart was aching badly because of Jessica.
Yes, he acted cold, hard and tough infront of Jessica.
As if hes not bothered.
But in actual fact, 
he did bother.
He did.

"Mr Jung.."
"Im sorry but i need the job badly" said Ms Kang, trying hard to explain her circumstances.

Mr Jung raised his hands, 
signaling a Ms Kang to shut up.

Pressing on a button of the phone on his table,
he spoke,

"Secretary Shin"
"Get the security and escourt Ms Kang out"
"Within an hour, get her out of my building" said Mr Jung coldly before ending his conversation with secretary Shin.

Minutes later,
Ms Kang was escourted out by the guards.
Right after she left,
Mr Jung immediately motioned Sooyoung to the sofa in his office.

"Take a sit, Sooyoung-sshi"

Sooyoung nodded as she took a seat infront of Mr Jung.

"Sooyoung-sshi"
"Have you got anything to tell me?" asked Mr Jung seriously.

Sooyoung shrugged,
not knowing what was going on.

"What is there for me to tell?"

Mr Jung frowned.

"I heard that you're quite close with Jessi" said Mr Jung bluntly,
not taking his eyes off Sooyoung.

Sooyoung was startled by Mr Jung's sudden remark.
But nodded slowly.

"So, is there anything you wanna tell me?"
"Complains?"

Mr Jung was expecting something from Sooyoung.
He wanted truths and nothing else.

"Sooyoung-sshi?"

Sooyoung was thinking hard.
Whether if she should tell Mr Jung about the trios who took Jessica for granted and bullied her.

"Mr Jung.."
"Theres actually something.."

"Hmm?"

"Theres this trio.."
"Same group of interns as us.."

"And?"

"They sort of.. bullied Sica because.."
"Because they thought Sica came from a background-less family.."
"I think every unfortunate events.."
"Were caused by them.." said Sooyoung awkwardly,
shuffling her feets gently.

"Who are they?"

"Tasmin.. Jenny.. and Lina.."

"Thanks Sooyoung-sshi"
"You can get back to your work"
"I'll get back to you soon" said Mr Jung immediately as he got up from the sofa,
and turned towards his desk.

Sooyoung stood up immediately and turned around,

"Hey wait"

Mr Jung turned with a puzzled expression.

"Hmm..?"

"Where is Sica?"
"Why havent i seen her?"

"Jessi.."
"Shes not in the best of condition now Sooyoung-sshi" 

"What happened to her?"
"Please, Mr Jung"
"I want to see her, can you let me see her at least?"

Sooyoung's pleas were sincere.
Mr Jung pondered for a few seconds,
hesistated before replying.

"I'll call you again maybe in a day or two"
"I'll let you visit her" 

Sooyoung's eyes immediately glittered with happiness as she bowed to Mr Jung happily.

"Kamsahamnida Mr Jung!"
"Neomu kamsahamnida!!" 

From far,
there were two familiar figures exiting the doctors' office,
with a helpless, dejected view.

Their body language tells about their feelings and everything.

"This is why i've decided to get her home Yuri"
"You understood it now?" said Mrs Jung sadly,
as she sat down at the nearby bench along the corridors.

Yuri couldnt bring herself to believe the words she had just heard from the doctors.

"Im sorry"
"But actually, i dont think"
"I dont think the treatment is even working well for her.."
"Its probably only trying its best to prolong her lifespan"
'But if it comes a day where by her body gets immune to the medicines and treatments"
"Theres nothing we can do" explained the doctors with an awkward expression,
showing the difficult and tricky position they are in now.

"So is it okay for us to bring her home?"
"She wants to go home" 

The doctors frowned and paused for a moment.

"I guess it would be nice"
"I mean, unless we can find an alternative way to get her treated"
"if not, im sorry to say"
"if going home is her last wish, by all means make her happy"
"And bring her home"
"We are not here trying to throw you a wet blanket"
"But we just hope that you all would look on the positive side"

"Omma Jung.." started Yuri as she started sobbing,
clutching on her chest tightly.
"You know, you know.."
"My heart here.."
"Is aching so badly.."
"I know its the truth.."
"But i just cant bear to lose her.."
"I just cant.."

Mrs Jung's tears started flowing again.
She turned to Yuri and brought her into a warm,
long embrace.

"I've hurt her so much in the past.."
"I want to.."
"Make it up for her.. so badly.."
"But why..?!"
"Why?!"

"Shhh.." 
"Yuri, its our fault"
"We didnt take care of her enough thats why things are like this now"
"Its all our fault, its none of yours Yuri"
"We're sorry.." 

"Omma Jung.."
"I just cant imagine the days without her.."
"Really.."
"Looking at her weaken as days got past us like nothing.."

"Thats why we should make her happy now, isnt it?" said Mrs Jung with a forced smile as she broke the hug,
wiping Yuri's tears away.

Yuri's head shot up and forced a smile on her face.

"I guess you're right.."
"Omma Jung i'll go get Sica ready while you get her discharge papers done"
"We'll bring her home" said Yuri determinely as she wiped all the tears,
or even the tiny weeny traces of her tears off her face.

Wanting to show nothing but a happy Yuri to Jessica when she enters the room.

"Arasso" smiled Mrs Jung as she ruffled Yuri's dark black hair.
"I'll go now"
"Be back in an hours time to get Jessi back home"

With that, 
Mrs Jung left for the administration office while Yuri headed back to Jessica's ward.

Taking a cheeky peep from Jessica's ward,
Yuri's lips formed a bitter smile.

There Jessica was,
sitting by her ward windows,
headphones over her beautiful long wavy hair.
Enjoying the music that came from the MP3 & headphone Yuri had bought it for her when she was first admitted into the hospital.

"Ahem" 

Yuri cleared as she walked into the ward.
The headphone seemed to have a really good noise isolation and Jessica seemed to have not hear Yuri's entrance.
Yuri sneaked up behind Jessica and placed her hand over Jessica's eyes.

Jessica smiled as she put her hands over Yuri's after removing her headphone.

"I know its you, Yul"

Yuri pouted as she sat beside Jessica,
still holding onto her hands.

"Why are you so smart?"

"Im always smart"
"You just didnt know about it" replied Jessica with a weak smile.
"Where did you go?"
"I've been waiting here for hours"
"I thought you had left me"

Yuri pulled Jessica into her arms,
hugged her tightly while caressing her silky hair.

"Silly, i wont leave you"
"Neither will your family"
"We went to get the doctors approval to bring you home"
"You've always wanted to go home, right?"

Jessica's eyes sparkled with joy,
and with a little tears in it of course.

"Jinjja?!"

Yuri nodded as she brushed Jessica's fringe away and gave her a forehead peck.

"Of course, why would i lie to you?"
"Omma Jung is tending to your discharge papers"
"She'll be here when shes done"
"Meantime, im supposed to get our baby ready to go home"
"Okay?"

Jessica nodded with a bright smile,
standing out from her pale face.

"Is our baby strong enough to get up?" asked Yuri lovingly.

"I think so?" replied Jessica as tried to stand up by wobbled a little.
"Not."

Yuri chuckled.

"Arasso"
"Come on, i'll help you with a quick bath okay?" 

Jessica stopped in her tracks as her eyes widened in shock.

"Help.. me..?" 

Jessica's cheeks turned into a bright shade of red.

"Our baby's blushing"
"Isnt she?"
"I'll leave you to get your clothes out on your own"
"While i bubble the bathtub okay?"

Jessica shook her head shyly.

"I promise i wont peep!"
"You need a quick bath before going home alright!" promised Yuri as she helped Jessica into the bathroom while she went to set the water and bubbled the bathtub.

10 minutes later,
Yuri called out to Jessica.

"Baby, i've gotten the water running and bubbled"
"Come on in now"
"Im facing the wall!"

Jessica tiptoed and took caution steps towards the bathtub,
taking glances at Yuri to make sure that she wasnt peeping.
Right after she hid herself under the bubbles, she sneezed.

Yuri immediately turned her body around with a worried expression.

"Are you very cold?"
"I've gotten a warmer water for you already!" 

Jessica smiled.

"Im fine, really"
"Dont worry"

Yuri frowned,
not being able to ease her worries,
she sat down behind Jessica, 
grabbing a bar of soap in her hands.

"I'll help you wash you hair"
"And after that, you'll be getting up alright?" said Yuri sternly as she wet the bar of soap,
as well as Jessica's hair with warm water before soaping her hair and massaging it gently.

"Baby.."

"Hmm..?"

"I love you"

"I love you too"

"I mean it"
"Really"

Jessica frowned a little.

"I mean it too, Yul"
"Why?"
"All these years, havent i proved myself?"

Yuri let out a soft laugh.

"Its not you"
"Its me"
"Im really.. guilty.."
"You know?"

Jessica let out a cute giggle.

"Its okay Yul"
"It doesnt matter anymore, does it?"

Yuri sighed and nodded as she washed the soap off Jessica's hair.
Forcing a smile, 
Yuri stood up and grabbed onto a clean towel to dry Jessica's hair for her.

"Its okay, lets get you dried up"
"Dont want my baby to be in the cold"
"Get out after im out okay?"
"Your clothes are over there" said Yuri as she got out from her seat and walked out of the toilet,
leaving Jessica alone.

Right after Yuri closed the doors,
Jessica quickly got up, dried herself and got dressed.

"Omma Jung, you're here" said Yuri as she came out to pack Jessica's belongings.
"Sica's in the toilet, dressing up"

Mrs Jung smiled with a nod as she walked over to help Yuri with the packing.

"I know"
"I heard the two of you in the toilet"
"And took a small peep" said Mrs Jung with a chuckle.
"Am glad to see that small smile back on her face, Yuri"

"Me too"

Although, deep inside the two of them.
They knew, they knew that unless there is an alternative,
the smile that they had always loved would not last for long.
Not as long as they wanted it to.

"Hey.." 

"Baby, youre done?" said Yuri immediately as soon as she heard Jessica's voice.

Jessica smiled and nodded.

"Omma.."

"Sweetie, are you feeling better?"
"We're going home now" 

Jessica's face showed a worried expression.

"Maybe i shouldnt..?"

"Why baby?"
"Isnt it what you've always wanted?"
"To go back home?" asked Yuri concernly as she placed her hands over Jessica's shoulders and massaged it slightly.

"Yup, whats wrong sweetie?"
"Didnt you tell omma earlier you wanted to go home?"

Deep inside Jessica,
she was afraid of Mr Jung.
Afraid that Mr Jung was going to scold her again.

Jessica shook her head as she backed away from Mrs Jung.

"Omma.."
"Appa.."
"Will scold me.."
"I dont want to.." said Jessica timidly as her voice trembled a little.

Mrs Jung smiled and held onto Jessica's hands,
giving it a light pat.

"Omma's here, right?"
"Omma's here, appa will not scold you"
"Okay?" said Mrs Jung encouragingly.

Jessica pondered for a few seconds before nodding her head sadly,
following Mrs Jung behind her.
Yuri on the other hand, was supporting the weak latter to the car.

Mrs Jung had called for the chaffeur to pick them up.
After getting onto the car, Jessica fell asleep almost immediately.

Mrs Jung placed her hand over Jessica's forehead while she was sleeping.

"She's worn out" said Yuri with a worried expression.
"Her temperature didnt subside a lot right?"

Mrs Jung nodded sadly as she retreated her hands back from Jessica's forehead.

"The doctors had called Tiffany earlier while i was busy signing the discharge papers"
"Tiffany will be coming down later to check up on Jessica after discussing with the doctors" said Mrs Jung softly,
not wanting to wake the beautiful daughter of hers up.

Yuri nodded with a thankful smile.

"Oh, and Yuri"
"I had the ahjumma prepare the room beside Jessi's for you"
"You can stay here if you want" added Mrs Jung with a warm smile.

"Gomawoyo omma Jung" 

An hour later,
Yuri had piggyback-ed Jessica back to her room,
Mrs Jung went back to her room to make a call.

"Dear"
"I've something to tell you"

"Of course, sure"
"What is it?"

"Dear"
"I've brought Jessi home from the hospital"

"Why?!"
"She needs a lot of medical care, dont she?"
"How can you bring her home?!"

Mrs Jung sighed.

"You're still concerned about her, dont you?"
"Why dont you come back home and talk to her?"
"She misses you dear, really badly"
"But shes really afraid of you"

"I'll be coming back soon once im settled with things at the office"
"I have things to attend to"

"Whats so important about those when it comes to Jessi, dear?"

"I'll tell you about it when i get home"
"But, i cant bring myself to talk to her.."
"My heart.."
"its all my fault shes like this now.."

"Its not.."
"Besides, she doesnt blame you at all"

"Its just.."
"I need some time, dear"

"You know she doesnt have sufficient time if you drag any longer.."
"Please"

"..."

"Forget it"
"I just wanna tell you that"
"I hope you wont be scolding her or anything when you sees her"
"I cant bear to see her tears anymore"
"Its breaking my heart so much dear"

"I know, i wont"
"Dont worry"

"Thanks"
"Love you"

"Love you too"

Back in Jessica room,
Yuri was softly chuckling to herself when Jessica was sleeping.
Sitting by the side of Jessica's bed,
her hands were moving slightly.

Yuri was actually secretly painting Jessica's nails into all kinds of colours,
with funny cucumber nail stickers on it too.

At that time,
Jessica was stirring from her sleep.
Watching Yuri's giggly self, she let out a soft chuckle.
But shrieked a loud scream after realising whats wrong.

Her loud shriek got Yuri a big shock.

"What is this?!" sobbed Jessica as she closed her eyes,
didnt want to open it and look at her nails.

"Wae?"
"Its so cute, baby" chuckled Yuri playfully as she brought Jessica's nails infront of her.
"Look!"

Jessica refused to open her eyes.

"Baby, just look!"
"They dont bite neither do they have any cucumber smell!"

"Nonono!"
"I just simply hate them!!"
"Yuri, get it off me!"
