The next morning, Jessica was awoken by Yuri who was sitting by her bedside.

"Sica.." called Yuri gently
"Sica.."

"Hmm.."
"Yuri..?" said Jessica as she slowly sat up on her bed but was stopped by Yuri

"No Sica"
"Dont, just lay back in bed" smiled Yuri

"Why are.. you here..?" asked Jessica

"Why shouldnt i be here?"
"Did you forget that whenever you're sick, i'll be here for you?" winked Yuri

"I thought.."

"Thought?"

"Ah.. nevermind.."

"Sica-ah, get well soon okay?"
"And we'll return back to Singapore as soon as you're well to go"
"Dont like you to stay here with your parents"
"They doesnt pay much attention to you" said Yuri

"What about.. YoonA..?" asked Jessica

"Why are you so concerned about YoonA?"

"I.. err.."

"Anyway, i think i wont get back with her Sica.."
"Im afraid history will repeat itself again"
"Plus, im doing well even without her" smiled Yuri

"jinjja?!" coughed Jessica

"Hey slow down" said Yuri as she patted Jessica's back
"You're still sick"
"Why are you so happy when i said i wont get back with her?" asked Yuri puzzled

"Remember.. i've got something.. to tell you..?"
"If you decided.. not to get.. back with her..?"

"I think you did said something like that before"

"Well.. do you want.. to hear it.. now..?" asked Jessica, mustering up her courage

"If you wanna tell, of course im willing to hear it"
"Unless you wanna tell me when you feel better"
"I dont like to see you sick, Sica"

"No.. i think i'll just tell.. you now.."
"I dont.. want to drag.. it.."
"Yul.." said Jessica seriously as she sat up from her bed
"I know.. you're.. hurt by YoonA.."
"But.. i just wanna let.. you know.."
"That im still here.. waiting for.. you.."
"I hope.. to get your acceptance.. one day.."

"You what?!"
"Am i hearing things Sica?!"

"No.."
"Listen Yul.. i really love you.."
"For a very long time.."

"Why didnt you tell me then..?"

"I was afraid.. that you would reject me.."
"And our friendship.. would just.. disappear into.. thin air.." said Jessica slowly

"What about now?"
"Dont you think its gonna ruin it now?"

"I dont.. care.."
"I dont want.. to lose you.. again.."
"I lost you once.. to YoonA.."
"I dont want.. to experience.. it again.."
"I know by telling.. you all these.. the consequences of it.."
"Are harsh.. but i want to let you know.. im always here for you Yul.."
"Till you accept me.."

"Sica.." started Yuri

"I know.."
"I know you wont accept.. me now.."
"But i just.. want to let.. you know.."
"There's still me.." said Jessica as she averted Yuri's gaze.

"Sica, look at me" said Yuri as she cupped her hands onto Jessica's face
"Geez.."
"You're burning Sica.."
"Anyway, look we'll still be best of friend okay?"
"I'll always remember you're here for me"
"I'll tell you when im ready"
"Because as for now, im not ready yet"
"I love you, but i dont know the love i have for you is it just best friend or more than that"
"You understand Sica?"
"I dont want to hurt you"

"Okay.." replied Jessica a little bit disappointed even though it was expected

But at least, Jessica managed to confess to Yuri instead of bottling her feelings up.

"Now rest okay?"
"I'll go get Tiffany unnie to look at you"
"You're burning up so badly" said Yuri worriedly as she went out of the room&returned with Tiffany behind her.

"Unnie, why is Sica burning up so badly?"
"I thought you had given her medicine or something already?" asked Yuri as she pointed to Jessica

"I've given"
"But you know her health is weak, she has to take much longer time to recover"

"But she's burning up so badly"
"What if she burnt her precious smart brain?" asked Yuri

"But i've already given her the strongest medicine that she's not allergic to" said Tiffany
"Unless she allows me to give her a jab"

"No please.."
"I dont need it.." said Jessica almost immediately upon hearing it.

"See?"
"I cant help it" shrugged Tiffany helplessly

"Sica-ah.."
"You cant be like this" said Yuri sadly

"Its okay Yul"
"I'll be fine soon.."
"When do you wanna.. return back.. to Singapore..?" asked Jessica, trying to change the subject.

"As soon as you're well"
"We'll ask that danshin to return back with us okay?"
"So let Tiffany unnie give you the jab so that you can recover faster" said Yuri

"Ani.."
"No need.."
"Why not we'll go back today..?" asked Jessica suddenly which shocked both Yuri&Tiffany

"TODAY?!" exclaimed the two in unison

"You're not even in the state of moving" said Yuri

"Precisely" agreed Tiffany with crossed arms

"Maybe i'll.. recover.. faster in Singapore.." replied Jessica
"I mean.. you know.."
"No one cares.. about me here.." said Jessica sadly

"Awww~"
"Come on" hugged Yuri
"Dont be.. you still have me here right?"

"Thats right"
"You still have us here Jessi" smiled Tiffany
"So just lie back&rest first"
"We'll stay here with you if you want" offered Tiffany

"Unnie.."
"Does Taeyeon know..?"

"Know what?"
"You're sick?"
"Of course!"

"But did you.. tell her my family background..?"
"Dont tell.."

"I didnt"
"But why not?"
"Its not something you should be ashamed of"

"She's not ashamed"
"She just doesnt want to show it off" said Yuri, trying to keep Jessica from speaking as little as possible since she's speaking slowly, gasping for air.

"I see"
"Consider it done"
"I wont let her know" winked Tiffany, showing Jessica an 'Okay' handsign

"Gomawo unnie.."

"No problem"
"Rest well okay?"
"We'll be here for you"
"Just a call&we'll be here" said Tiffany as she exited Jessica's room with Yuri.

Yuri's POV

I really didnt know..
Sica actually love me..?

This really shocked me..
But i really cant accept her now..
Thats true, i love her but dont know what kind of love is it.
Is it just pure love for best friend or more than that.

"Yuri?" called Tiffany
"Yuri..?"

"Oh yeah?" replied Yuri

"What are you thinking about?"
"Why are you so engrossed in it?"

"Well.."
"Unnie, have you got any crush on anyone before?"

"What!?" said Tiffany, totally taken aback by what Yuri said

"I mean, you know like or love someone before..?"

"I know!"
"But why that question?"

"Well.."
"Sica said she.. love me..?" said Yuri slowly with an awkward expression

"So?"

"I dont know if i love her too.."
"The same way as she does"
"I just wanted to make sure"

"Oh.."
"So tell me.." started Tiffany, crossing her arms
"Do you feel happy with her?"
"What is it like when you're with her?"
"How do you feel when she's sick like now?" asked Tiffany

"Im always happy with her"
"Thats for sure" said Yuri confidently
"When im with her, its like totally comfortable with her"
"Happy&carefree"
"Of course, when she's sick im exceptionally worried"
"How could i not be worried for someone that fragile?" explained Yuri

"Thats it"
"You got your answers already, isnt?" smiled Tiffany
"If you really want to assure yourself further, take a piece of paper"
"Draw a heart whenever you recall Jessi made you smile"
"And if you have someone you want to compare with"

"Hey Jessi.." started Mr Jung as he walked into Jessica's room which made Jessica shot up from her bed immediately.
"No wait.."
"Lie back down" smiled Mr Jung awkwardly
"How're you feeling now?" asked Mr Jung as he sat down beside Jessica

"Im fine.." replied Jessica with a cough

"Why didnt you tell appa you're sick?"
"You dont have to work you know" said Mr Jung guiltily.

"If i were to tell.. will you.. even bother..?" muttered Jessica as she averted Mr Jung's concerned gaze.

"Why wouldnt i?"
"You're our princess"

"Really..?"
"I thought you've.. got a brand new.. princess already.."
"Im the forgotton.. one.." said Jessica weakly

"You mean Krystal?"
"Jessi, dont be so unreasonable"
"Krystal's now our family, how can you say things this way?" said Mr Jung, a little mad.

"Why cant.. i..?"
"I got sick.. were you all.. even here.. for me..?"
"Where.. were you.. all..?"
"In the past.. when im sick.. i dont even.. need to say.."
"Now..?"

"We said we were sorry right?"
"We didnt pay much attention to you"
"Cant you just forgive us?" exasperated Mr Jung helplessly.

To be honest, Mr Jung was really sad and apologetic towards Jessica.
To see his beloved daughter on the bed,
the worse he saw her on bed like that was years ago.
But now, it seemed way more serious than it was then.

"You dont have.. to apologise.. appa.."
"No parents.. would apologise.. to their.. children.." said Jessica slowly as she took the nasal canula out.

"Dont, Jessi"
"Tiffany says you should put it on, it will help regulate your breathing" said Mr Jung worriedly as he tried to help Jessica put it back but was yanked away.

"Its okay.."
"Im better off dead.." whispered Jessica sadly under her breath.

"What did you say Jessi?"
"Why are you like this ever since Krystal is here?"
"You've changed.."
"The Jessi we used to love, never ever had the word - jealousy in her dictionary" said Mr Jung with a disappointed look.

Jessica teared up at the words that escaped Mr Jung's mouth.

"What..?"
"Im not..?"
"Its fine.. i'll leave.." said Jessica as she weakly ripped off her infus&nasal canula&staggered out of the room.

"Where do you think you're going?!" boomed Mr Jung from Jessica's room

Walking out of her room towards the door, passing by the living room which was filled with Mrs Jung, Krystal, Yuri&Tiffany.
Watching the patient staggering towards the door, Tiffany&Yuri immediately came forward to help her while Mrs Jung&Krystal stood there puzzled.

"What do you think you're doing Jessi?!" scolded Tiffany

"Yeah whats wrong Sica?" asked Yuri worriedly

"Sweetie, whats wrong?"
"Why are you out of bed, shouldnt you be in bed resting?" asked Mrs Jung

"Yul.."
"Bring me back.. to Singapore.." whispered Jessica which sounded more like begging Yuri.
"Please.."

"But you're sick, how can i?" replied Yuri

"You're not willing.. to..?"
"Its okay.." said Jessica as she tried her best to get out off Tiffany&Yuri's grip but failed.

Instead, she fell harder onto Yuri.
Her legs were getting real wobbly to not be able to support her own weight.

"What is wrong..?" whispered Yuri worriedly as she hugged onto the boiling body that was against her.

"Appa.."
"Said i've.. changed.."
"No longer.. the..-"

"SICA?!" called Yuri worriedly as she felt the whole weight over her.

Yuri shook Jessica violently but to find out that Jessica had actually out in her arms.
The pain expression that was on Jessica's face, it was the first time Yuri saw it.
And to be honest, Yuri's heart was aching from it.

Mr Jung, however was in Jessica's room.
He too, was in tears as he obeserved Jessica's room.
To his surprise, there will many panadols on Jessica's table.
It then struck Mr Jung that Jessica fell sick for days and its not only last night.

And the best part was,
which made Mr Jung felt real guilty to Jessica was the black file on her table.
It was the file, the file that he had used for the meeting.
Jessica made the file, the backup for Mr Jung incase something happened again.
That explains why Jessica werent home that night.

"Quick, lay her on the bed!" instructed Tiffany as Yuri ran into the room with the unconscious Jessica in her arms.

Yuri did as she was told while Mr Jung stood there in shock.
Once Yuri got Jessica onto the bed, Tiffany quickly got the IV up back on her,
but this time round with an oxygen mask instead of the nasal canula since Jessica's condition had worsened.

"Go get a sponge, iced water as well as a cloth!" instructed Tiffany hastily as she fiddled around the machines in Jessica's room.

Jessi,.
Sigh..

While Yuri was gathering the items requested by Tiffany,
her mind was in a whirlpool of sadness.

Yuri's POV

Sica..
Why are you doing all these to yourself..?
Its hurting me inside..
To see you going through so much pain..

Should i consider about Sica..?
I mean, what Tiffany unnie said was true..
I cant imagine my life without Sica..
I cant let her go on like this,
getting hurt and not taken care of by her parents..

Yuri entered Jessica's room minutes later with the items on a tray while Mrs Jung and Krystal followed behind.
Tiffany quickly got the items from Yuri's hands and started sponge bathing Jessica which made her cried in her sleep.

"Coollddd.." chattered Jessica in tears.
"Omma.."
"Appa.."
"Bianeh.."
"Im so.. sorry.."
"I didnt.. mean it.."
"Im just.. feeling awful.."

Mr and Mrs Jung's heart broke.
Their daughter, was so sick yet her mind was still thinking about her parents even though she spoke to coldly to them.

"Sica.." cooed Yuri softly as she placed the towel on Jessica's forehead.
"Dont.."
"Dont cry, its hurting me to see you in this state.."

Tiffany placed an assuring hand on Yuri's shoulder after sponge bathing Jessica.
With a smile, Tiffany nodded at Yuri.

"She will get better, Yul"
"Dont worry"

"Gomawo unnie.." replied Yuri sadly, holding onto Jessica's hands tightly.
"Unnie, i believed what you said"
"I've decided to give it a shot"

"Sounds good" smiled Tiffany as she turned to Mr and Mrs Jung,
motioning them to have a talk with her.

Walking down the stairs, to the living room,
Tiffany sat down on the sofa with a solemn look.

"Mr and Mrs Jung, i dont know how to break this to you"
"You might think im rude or so"
"Do you know that asthma, if its not well taken care of"
"There will be drastic consequences?"

Mr and Mrs Jung nodded sadly.

"It will, in turn to a terminal illness" said Mr Jung with a pained expression.

"Well, im glad you know that"
"And you know today's incident is going to have a huge major plus to the terminal illness stage, dont you?"

Mrs Jung's eyes widened in shock.

"I dont know what are you going to do"
"But for now, i hope you'll take good care of Jessi"
"If not, i'll seriously bring her away from you back to Singapore"
"Im looking at Jessi, not only as a doctor of hers but also an unnie of hers Mr and Mrs Jung"
"I know you've adopted her" said Tiffany, pointing to Krystal.
"I know she's young and innocent"
"But they are both your daughters"
"You two ought to take good care of Jessi"
"She's hurting so badly on the inside and outside"

"We will" said Mr Jung firmly.
"We're really thankful for your presence, Tiffany"
"We cant imagine anything without you here for Jessi"

"You dont have to thank me"
"All you have to do is to take care of her"
"I cant bear to let her get any more hurt"

Mr and Mrs Jung nodded sadly.
With that, Tiffany took her leave and left the Jungs mansion.
 

"Sica..?" called Yuri gently as she saw Jessica,
slowly stirring from her sleep.

Fluttering her eyes open slowly,
Jessica saw Yuri with a pained expression watching her.
Her first natural instinct was, to reach her hands out to Yuri.

Yuri saw, and held onto Jessica's hands with a weak smile.

"How you feeling now?" asked Yuri worriedly as she carressed Jessica's hands,
placing Jessica's hands on her cheeks.

"Im fine"
"Dont worry about me" mouthed Jessica weakly with a smile.

It was clear that Jessica was all so weak and tired.
Her pale face, dried cracked lips.
Her boiling body temperature.
Her infus, oxygen mask.
Everything that was on her, in her made her feel so tired and weak.

"Sica.."

Jessica watched Yuri with a curious expression as Yuri gave an awkward expression.
Yuri put her hand on the back of her head and started scratching a little.

"You know.."
"I've told Tiffany unnie about you liking me.."

Jessica's eyes widened in shock.

"She told me many things.."
"And i've been thinking.."
"Maybe, maybe she is right afterall" said Yuri firmly.
"You made me so much more happier as compared to Yoona"
"I was thinking.."
"I know this isnt the right time.."
"But, do you want to try out with me..?"
"I mean like try out..?"

Jessica coughed.

"You okay?!" asked Yuri worriedly after hearing the latter cough.

Jessica nodded with a huge smile plastered on her face despite the paleness in it.

"I'll make you.."
"Really.."
"Fall in.. love with.. me.." said Jessica slowly with a determined look.
"I love.. you.."

"Omma, why is unnie so sick?"
"Isnt unnie just having a fever?" asked Krystal innocently as she watched Jessica from the outside of the room,
lying on the bed with a lot of medical equipments around her.

Mrs Jung smiled as she bend down to Krystal's height and ruffled her hair.

"Unnie's very sick now because omma and appa didnt take care of her"
"So Krystal have to be very good these few days okay?"
"To let omma and appa take care of unnie" said Mrs Jung sadly, eyes a little teary.

"Neh omma!" replied Krystal with a smile.

Mrs Jung nodded at Krystal with a satisfied look as she entered Jessica's room,
following behind was Mr Jung.
The couple settled beside Jessica's bed,
with Krystal behind them.

"Jessi.." called Mr and Mrs Jung lovingly as they place their hands over Jessica's cheeks,
feeling the temperature of the latter.

Beads of cold sweat were trickling down Jessica's forehead as she thrashed around the bed,
murmuring some incoherent mumblings.

"Jessi" called Mr Jung again, this time getting more worried.
"Dont, Jessi"
"Appa's worried when you're like this"

"Think she's having fever dreams, dear" whispered Mrs Jung as she oberserved the latter whose forehead were creased.

"What should we do?"

Mrs Jung shrugged.

"We cant do anything, Tiffany has given her everything thats needed"
"We only can wait for her fever to break" said Mrs Jung with a sad expression.

Krystal, on the other hand watched Jessica in fear.
This was the first time, her unnie whom she assumed to love her a lot.
Was lying on the bed, not even waking up.
Krystal was afraid, afraid that she will lose her unnie at this rate.

Without thinking about anything, Krystal jumped straight up to Jessica's bed.
Not giving Mr and Mrs Jung any time to stop her, Krystal started shaking Jessica violently from her sleep.
Jessica then slowly opened her eyes tiredly to her innocent dongsaeng,
with worried expression.

"Krystal!"
"Get off unnie now!" scolded Mr Jung angrily.

Krystal didnt buldge a single bit at all.
But her eyes turned teary.
Jessica watched Krystal as she slowly sat up from the bed.

"Krystal.." hissed Mr Jung impatiently.

"Krystal, get off unnie alright?"
"Unnie has to rest" persuaded Mrs Jung gently.

"ANI!"
"I dont want unnie to sleep!"
"Unnie will not wake up if she continue sleeping!" whined Krystal innocently.

Mr Jung raised her hands and within seconds,
a loud slap was heard.
Jessica jumped forward and hugged Krystal,
covering Krystal with her back against Mr Jung.

Jessica bit her lips in pain.
Mr Jung was at a loss.

"Omo!"
"Jessi!"
"Are you okay?!" panicked Mrs Jung as she fussed over Jessica worriedly.

Jessica broke the hug as she cupped Krystal's face in her hands.

"Unnie.."
"Your hands are hot.." said Krystal slowly.

Jessica smiled.

"Unnie will wake up, arasso..?"
"Unnie's just.. tired.." explained Jessica tiredly.
"Krystal have to.. be nice.."
"And listen.. to appa..and omma.. okay..?" added Jessica but it ended the conversation with yet another coughing fit.

"I dont want to leave unnie" sobbed Krystal sadly.
"Appa wants to beat me"

Jessica turned to Mr Jung before turning back to Krystal.

"Arasso.."
"Why not.. you sleep with unnie.. today..?" offered Jessica as she patted the bed on the spot next to her.

"Jinjja?!" exclaimed Krystal happily as she quickly snuggled under the blankets beside Jessica.

Jessica smiled.

"Jessi, are you sure you're fine?"
"I didnt mean to hit you"
"I was just.." said Mr Jung, trying to explain himself.

"You've scared her.."

"I didnt mean to.."
"The words she said.."

"She didnt mean.. to say it too.."
"She doesnt.. know a thing.."
"How could you.. appa..?"
"Your slap.. it was so hard.."
"She's so tiny.. you're going to hurt her.." said Jessica softly.

"I know.."
"I just.." sighed Mr Jung as he shook his head.

"Its okay.."
"Just let Krystal.. stay here.."
"I'll take care.. of her.."

Mr and Mrs Jung looked at Jessica doubtingly but nodded in the end and went out of the room.
After they closed the door, Jessica turned to Krystal.

"Krystal, next time.."
"Listen to appa.. and omma.. okay..?"
"They.. love you.. a lot.."

"Neh unnie!" smiled Krystal widely as she hugged Jessica tightly.

2 weeks later, Jessica had finally recovered thanks to the whole lot of drama there.
As soon as Jessica had recovered, she booked the tickets for the flight with Yuri,
they wanted to return to Singapore.
Jessica didnt want to stay in Korea any longer.
Well, it was basically because of her parents.

At the house of Yuri's,
Taeyeon came along with Tiffany in the afternoon,
tugging her luggage along.

"What kind of friends are you?" complained Taeyeon as she huffed and puffed in anger.
"Going back without me?!"

Yuri chuckled.

"Well, we thought you might wanna spend more time with Tiffany unnie" teased Yuri playfully.

Tiffany rolled her eyes at Yuri.

"What are you talking about!" exclaimed Taeyeon panickly.
"Forget it!"
"Where is Sica?"

"She's in my room resting"
"She had just recovered so i want her to rest more after taking her medicine"

Tiffany nodded in agreement.

"Guess you're doing well for now?" said Tiffany with a wink.
"Its right to give her more rest before flying off"

Yuri raised her eyebrows and watched the two at their intimateness.

"Hmm.."
"Far too close uh?"

"I'll go and visit her now!" said Taeyeon as she ran away quickly to Yuri's room.

Entering the room, Taeyeon was glad to see Jessica sleeping peacefully on the wide soft bed of Yuri's.
Walking near Yuri's bed, Taeyeon sat beside Jessica and smiled.

Jessica peeked at Taeyeon and giggled.
Taeyeon's eyes widened in shock.

"Omo, you arent asleep?!"

"Of course not"
"I've been on bed for 2 whole weeks Taetae!" exasperated Jessica.
"Yuri doesnt let me leave the bed!"

"You're sick arent you?"
"She wants you to get plenty of rest of course" said Taeyeon with a wink.
"Anyway, im joing you for the flight back to Singapore later evening"

"Really?"
"How about Tiffany unnie?"

"Well, she has something else to attend before returning" said Taeyeon, slightly disappointed.

"Someone's disappointed"
"Isnt it?" teased Jessica playfully.
"So, do you like Tiffany unnie?" asked Jessica bluntly.

"YAH!"
"Why are you the same as Yuri?!" exclaimed Taeyeon, blushing madly.
"Always teasing me!"

"Did Yul asked the same thing too?"
"That means our sixth sense is right.."
"Look!"
"You're even blushing!" said Jessica with a smile.

"Fine!"
"Fine!"
"I like her okay?" exasperated Taeyeon as she couldnt stand them bombing her questions like that.
"Tiffany's cute what"

"Relax.."
"I didnt say she's not or anything"
"Why are you so worked up?" giggled Jessica.

Behind the door, stood Tiffany who was grinning to herself happily after overhearing the conversation Taeyeon&Jessica had.

Taeyeon love me too!
Oh my, i think im going to fly up to the moon already.
But why didnt she tell me!
Should i find a time to confess to her?
Make her mine?
But what if she rejects me?
Will she?
Even though she said she likes me.

"But i dont know how she really felt about me although she told me she was willing to try out with me"
"I told her i would make her fall in love with me" explained Jessica awkwardly.
"Im afraid she decided to be with me because of sympathy"

Jessica sighed.

"And further more, im afraid this is the wrong step"
"Im afraid this would offend YoonA"

"Look Sica, there's nothing wrong"
"I think you're doing it right"
"Love is selfish Sica"

"But im not the selfish kind.."
"However, i dont think she's going to fully accept me"
"Till YoonA had officially moved out of her heart" said Jessica sadly, holding back her bitter tears.

"Aww~" cooed Taeyeon as she leaned over&gave Jessica a warm hug.
"Dont be like this"
"Think optimistic" smiled Taeyeon
"If there's a will, there's way"
"Dont worry so much"
"School's gonna start in a few weeks time though" smiled Taeyeon
"You have to feel better before leaving for the airport okay?"
"I'll leave you to rest" said Taeyeon.

"Im already feeling my best, Taetae!" groaned Jessica impatiently.

"Too bad then!" winked Taeyeon dorkily as she walked out of the room.

Before she left the room, Tiffany quickly ran back down to the living room.

"Why look so flustered?" asked Yuri puzzled

"Shhh.."
"Dont say anything" said Tiffany panickly as she randomly picked up a magazine&started browsing through while Taeyeon came down the stairs.

To look at it carefully,
Taeyeon and Tiffany sure is cute.
They shyness and flustered-ness.

Will Sica and I be like that too?
Will we be cuter?
Or YoonA..?

Wait!
I should try take YoonA off my mind&heart already since im with Sica now.
