The next day, Jessica was awoken to a phone call from Yuri.

"Yoboseyo" answered Jessica drowsily

"Im back in Korea!" giggled Yuri happily

"I thought you're in the states?"

"Oh, my appa wanted to come back Korea"
"As soon as i reached America"
"Like so crazy, made me got there then tell me to go back Korea with him"
"Nevertheless, im super happy!"

"Why so happy?"

"Because im in the same country with my bestfriend!" chuckled Yuri happily
"Can i meet you today?"
"I mean without Taeyeon!" added Yuri

"Without Taeyeon?"
"I can only meet you for lunch"
"Have to help my dad out at his company because his vice-CEO went on maternity leave"

"Oh?"
"Thats just too sad"
"No holidays for you" mocked Yuri playfully

"YAH!"
"Stop mocking at me"
"No lunch then" threatened Jessica

"Sica-ah, dont be like this!"
"Dont bully me!" whined Yuri over the phone

"Lunch will do"

"Okay then"
"I'll see you later for lunch"
"Near my dad's company okay?"
"Cant leave for long, only like an hours break"

Jessica's POV

Hoho..
This is such a nice call to start with.
Gonna have lunch with Yuri.
Its been sometime since i actually have some time alone with Yuri.

After ending the call, Jessica got up from her bed&went to the bathroom to wash up,
to get ready for her first day of work.
Walking down the stairs was Mr,Mrs Jung&Krystal, having their breakfast together.

"Good morning sweetie" smiled Mrs Jung

"Morning Jessi"

"Morning unnie" grinned Krystal widely

"Morning appa, omma&Krystal" replied Jessica as she sat down on her seat, grabbing herself a toast.

"So are you ready to work at appa's company?" asked Mrs Jung

"I guess so?"
"I mean there's nothing for me to be ready or not"
"Its like im just going there to learn" lied Jessica.

"But you have to do well, dont bring my company any bad reputation alright?"
"Because everyone knows that you're my daughter"
"And they will definitely have a certain expection of you" added Mr Jung

Jessica's POV

Bad reputation..?

"Araesso.." answered Jessica a little dejected
"I think im done eating"
"I'll leave first, i'll see you in the office later appa"

"The files are on the table already"

"Got it" replied Jessica as she got out of the house.

Later at the office, Jessica was going through all the documents that were pre-prepared for the meetings in the next few days to herself familiarize with the work she'll be handling over the holidays.
Just then while looking through, her phone rang.

"Yoboseyo"

"Sica-ah, its me"

"Yup?"
"Its not even lunch time yet"
"There's like 3 hours before lunch time"

"I know i know"
"Im just calling you to make sure you remember"
"Remember when i called you, you were half awake?"

"Yup but hey please!"
"I remember okay" replied Jessica
"Yul, are you free now?"

"Considered free, why?"

"Come over&accompany me"
"Its my first day of work here, im lonely" whined Jessica

"You must be kidding me!"
"Lonely?"
"Since when would you even feel that way?" replied Yuri sacarstically
"Dont lie~"

"Fine, since you dont wanna spend time with your best friend"
"Its fine~"
"I'll just rot alone!"

"Araesso araesso"
"Always threatening me" grumbled Yuri over the phone
"Im coming now"

"I'll be waiting" grinned Jessica widely to herself

To be honest,
I really missed times like these,
spending times with Yuri, teasing each other together.
Cant wait, i hope we can progress from there.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Hey Jessi"
"Able to cope?" asked Mr Jung as he walked into Jessica's office with a file in his hands

"Yeah i guess so" replied Jessica, not taking her eyes off the documents that she was reading

"You looked busy" commented Mr Jung
"Im sorry but.."
"Here's something" said Mr Jung awkwardly as he passes over the file he was holding onto to Jessica

"Another one?" asked Jessica disappointed
"When am i going to finish?"

"Im sorry"
"But yeah thats what we usually have" admitted Mr Jung
"Im sorry Jessi to like take up your holidays"

"Forget it"
"Its fine, i'll work on it"
"Appa, you can go back&work on what you need to"
"I'll settle these by tonight"

"Okay thanks" smiled Mr Jung as he left

An hour after Mr Jung left, Yuri was seen skipping happily into Jessica's office.

"YAH SICA!" exclaimed Yuri happily as she plopped down onto the sofa in Jessica's office.

"Oh Yul, you're here?"
"Im sorry, i dont think we can have lunch outside" said Jessica
"Look at all these" pointed Jessica
"I have to look through so that i know which documents to pass to appa's secretary for meeting"

"Woah!"
"Thats a lot!"
"Do you need some help?" offered Yuri

"Ani, with your company is already a big help" smiled Jessica

"Really?"

"Of course!"
"You know, Yul"
"When you were with YoonA, i felt so lonely"
"Its like i lost my best friend" said Jessica as she was reading through the documents

"Bianeh Sica"
"I neglected you"

"Aniya"
"Im just telling you how i feel"
"Dont feel anything bad about it" assured Jessica

"I see.." replied Yuri

"Anyway.."
"Yul.. can i ask you a question..?"

"Yup anything for you Sica"

"Do you still like YoonA?" asked Jessica bluntly.

"Wow"
"Thats was direct" said Yuri a little taken aback
"YoonA?"
"Its not like i can clear my feelings within a few weeks"
"I mean things have to take time.." explained Yuri
"So to be exact, there's still feelings in me for YoonA.."

Ouch..
I shouldnt have asked that right?

"For keeping me in suspense all the time!" whined Yuri.

"I cant help it either" smiled Jessica
"What do you want for lunch?"
"I'll order it now so that the delivery will reach on time for lunch"

"Why not you tell me what you want to eat?"
"I'll order it instead since you look so busy" offered Yuri with a smile.

"I'll just eat whatever you eat"

"You sure?"
"Even cucumbers?"

"YAH!"
"I'll eat it, if you are prepared to bring me to a hospital" winked Jessica

"Im just kidding!"

"Of course i know you are"
"How could you possibly send your best friend to death god right?"

"Death god?" chuckled Yuri
"You actually believe in that?"

"Of course!"
"Yul, let me ask you a randomly childish question" said Jessica.
"How important am i to you?"

"Very important of course!"

"Then, if YoonA&I dropped into the sea, on the verge of drowning"
"Who would you save?"

"But her heart has someone else inside"
"I cant get in" said Jessica a little sadly
"Thats why i said, im just a normal person"
"Doesnt hold any important role in anyone's life, plus my weak health"

"Dont get so emotional"

"Plus, you're important in my life"
"Thats without any doubt"
"I'll definitely cry for days or weeks if you left me" said Yuri assuringly

"Really..?" asked Jessica touched

"Of course"
"So dont even take your life too lightly okay?"
"I'll need you more than anyone else"
"You hold an important role in my life"

"For making me feel wanted" smiled Jessica

"The sense of security when im with you"

A few days later, when Jessica came back from work with Mr Jung,
walking back to her room, she found Krystal playing&fiddling with something that was on her desk.

"Krystal?" called Jessica

Krystal was startled by Jessica's voice, the figurines dropped onto the floor&broke.
Jessica's eyes widened in shock, tears forming in her eyes.
Krystal, sensing that something was wrong,
she quickly got away from the desk but accidentally stepped on the broken ceramic pieces which landed a cut on her feet.

Jessica, on the other hand.
Her heart was hurting inside out.
The figurines broke.
Her heart broke.
The very much Jessica doesnt want to shout at Krystal but she couldnt help herself to not shout at Krystal.
Because Krystal broke something that meant to be so important to her.

"GET OUT NOW!" shouted Jessica in angrily as tears streamed down her face.

"Unnie.." said Krystal as she started to sob after witnessing Jessica's anger as well as the stinging pain on her feet.

"I SAID GET OUT!"

Mr&Mrs Jung who heard the shoutings came up to Jessica's room&found Jessica shouting at Krystal in anger.

"Whats wrong with you?!"
"Why do you have to shout at your own sister!" scolded Mrs Jung as she went over to carry the crying Krystal,
examining her injured feet.

"Yup whats wrong?"
"Krystal just broke something right?"
"It can always be bought again, is there a need to shout at her?" agreed Mr Jung with a nod as he carried Krystal over from Mrs Jung.

"Just broke something?!"
"Did you even see what was that something?!" exclaimed Jessica in tears.
"It doesnt mean anything to you all, but that something meant a lot to me!"
"I know all of you had forgotten what was that, it doesnt matter as long as i remember!"
"You guys dont know a single thing!" exasperated Jessica which earned her a tight slap from Mrs Jung

"Is that how you talk to your parents?!" scolded Mrs Jung angrily
"Your sister, she's hurt!"
"You didnt even bother to see if she's alright and you're here shouting at her!"

Mr Jung sighed and shook his head before carrying the crying Krystal away,
down to the living room to get the first aid kit.

"You better reflect about what you've done&said Jessica!" exclaimed Mrs Jung angrily as she stormed off from Jessica's room.

Slamming the door shut, Jessica was kneeling on the floor, crying her eyes out.
The figurines that Krystal dropped was actually Jessica's 9th birthday gift from her parents.
It was specially made for her, a family of 3 - Jessica, Mr Jung&Mrs Jung.
Mr&Mrs Jung had actually forgotten about it, thats why they thought that it was just some ordinary figures.
But to Jessica, it was something that had meant a lot more&Krystal simply broke it.

It was the only item Jessica could use it to reminisce the times she had with her parents,
without Krystal here gaining all her parents' attention.

Jessica's POV

Its fine if you all have forgotten about me..
Its fine..
But how could.. omma.. slap.. me..?
You never hit me once.. at all..

Now..?
Did you all know how important these figurines are to me?
I cherish them so so much..
Did you all know..?
All of you are just shielding Krystal..
I know she's my dongsaeng..
But none of you actually understood my feelings..

Its better off if im in Singapore right?
I shouldnt have even came back..

Slowly picking up the broken pieces of figurines, putting it onto the desk,
getting glue out, wanting to try&stick them back.
Jessica actually spent the night sticking the figurines, skipping her dinner.
But, what is broken is broken.
Even if you mend it back, there'll still be cracked lines.
Just like a heart.
Once its broken, even if its mended back, it still has scars/lines of hurt.
