Jessica was gasping for air,
it seems like her asthma attack had happened again.
This time round, it seemed to have brought her much more agony than before.
Tears were trickling down her face,
showing how much pain she was in.

Just then, Yuri was awoken by the sudden commotion as she rubbed her eyes open,
to get a clearer view.

"Sica!" called Yuri panickly but Jessica couldnt respond to Yuri.

"Yul.."
"Cant.. breathe.." gasped Jessica in pain as she clutched onto her chest tightly.

Yuri panickly fumbled Jessica's bag for her inhaler.
Despite inhaling for a few puffs,
it didnt seem to help her condition at all.

Not wanting to waste any more time,
Yuri threw Jessica over her back and piggyback-ed and ran out of her room.
Getting into a cab she hailed while running into the huge vast road,
Yuri was holding tightly onto Jessica.

"Sica.."
"You're gonna be fine.." whispered Yuri in tears as she watched the latter fall into unconsciousness,
not being able to do anything for her to make her feel better.

20 minutes later, Yuri and Jessica had arrived at the hospital.
Quickly pushing Jessica into the A&E department by the doctors,
Yuri plopped down onto the bench that was outside the department,
patiently waiting and praying for Jessica.

"Why cant i get through Taetae's phone..?" mumbled Tiffany as she dried her hair with the towel,
tapping onto her phone worriedly.

After drying her hair, Tiffany got dressed and decided to drop Taeyeon a visit.
Tiffany havent been able to visit and meet up with Taeyeon ever since she was back because of Jessica's matters.
Arriving at the Kim's mansion,
Tiffany pressed for the bell but there wasnt any reply which made Tiffany to start worrying.
Just as Tiffany was about to turn around and head out to look for Taeyeon,
the gates clicked open and Tiffany turned and went into the mansion without any delay.

As Tiffany stepped into the mansion,
Tiffany was shock to see Taeyeon swaying lightly,
as her face were pale white.

Tiffany ran towards Taeyeon and put her arms around Taeyeon's waist,
supporting Taeyeon.

"Taetae!"
"Why didnt you tell me you werent feeling well!" scolded Tiffany with a frown.

Taeyeon smiled.

"You were.. busy.."
"Remember..?"

"You mean when you called.."
"Im sorry Taetae.."
"But why isnt anyone at home to bring you to the doctor?!"

"My parents had to.. go for.. an overseas.. meeting.."
"The maids are.. on holiday.."
"Its just a flu.."
"Will go off in a few days.." explained Taeyeon tiredly with a forced smile as she stumbled a few steps.

"Hey easy" hushed Tiffany slowly as she supported Taeyeon,
helping her back to her bedroom.
"Taetae, since when are you sick?" asked Tiffany worriedly as she tucked Taeyeon in bed,
pulling the covers over her while Taeyeon let out a sneeze.

"2 days ago..?" replied Taeyeon with a sneeze.

Tiffany was feeling really guilty inside herself,
for neglecting Taeyeon.

"Im sorry Taetae" apologised Tiffany sadly,
averting Taeyeon's gaze.

Taeyeon looked confused.

"Wae..?"

"For not being able to be here for you when you're sick"
"Im so sorry.."

Taeyeon smiled.

"Its okay, i understand" said Taeyeon with a playful wink.

Tiffany frowned as she placed her hands on Taeyeon's forehead,
with her own over hers to check for Taeyeon's temperature.

"Hmmm.."
"39 degreess..?" muttered Tiffany disapprovingly to herself.
"Taetae, i want you stay in bed today okay?"

Taeyeon pouted.

"I've got things to do today"
"I need to get it done"
"I've been missing days of 3 days of internship already"

Tiffany shook her head firmly.

"You're sick"
"Taetae, when you're sick"
"You have to listen to me!" said Tiffany as she fished out her usual medicine pouch from her bag,
and placed it beside Taeyeon's bed.
"Have you taken medicine?"

Taeyeon nodded innocently as she watched Tiffany fiddle with her equipment.

"Did it work?"

Taeyeon shook her head guiltily as she looked away.
Tiffany knocked lightly on Taeyeon's head.

"Pabo yah!"
"You should have called me or gone to the doctors!"

"I tried calling my priavte doctor though" said Taeyeon with a meeky smile.
"But she wasnt free, so i had to wait"

"There are so much doctors out there Taetae!"
"I dont like you to be suffering when im not around!" explained Tiffany with a frown as she fished out a syringe and a bottle of solution.

Taeyeon gasped as she went under the covers.

"Taetae.." warned Tiffany as she tugged Taeyeon's cover open.
"Come out.. now"

Taeyeon shook her covers violently.

"I dont want!" protested Taeyeon under the covers cutely.
"It hurts!"

Tiffany's POV

Why am i stuck with this cute baby here?
Gosh.

Im feeling so guilty inside for neglecting her yet shes here,
whining and pouting at me!

Tiffany sighed as she put the syringe down and sat on Taeyeon's bed.
Slowly pulling the covers away,
Tiffany forced an assuringly smile.

"Taetae, it will make you feel better"
"Just awhile alright?" cooed Tiffany as she kissed Taeyeon on the forehead.

Taeyeon looked at her doubtingly.
Tiffany took this chance and immediately turned and grabbed the syringe.
As she was inserting the jab into Taeyeon's arms,
Taeyeon turned teary as she looked away.
A wince was heard as Tiffany got the jab in and released the liquid into Taeyeon's arms before putting a cute pea plaster over it.

"There im done" said Tiffany with a smile as she turned Taeyeon to face her.
"Look at our baby"
"Why are you crying?" teased Tiffany as she hugged Taeyeon warmly.

Taeyeon shot her a painful look.

"Aww"
"My baby taengoo!"
"Stop crying!" said Tiffany as she laid Taeyeon on the bed,
slipping into the bed under the covers beside Taeyeon.

As they were laying on the bed warmly,
Tiffany's phone vibrated.
Picking it up,
it was a text from Yuri.

"Tiff unnie"
"Sica's back in the hospital"
"She couldnt breathe earlier on while she was sleeping"
"I brought her back in"
"Could you come down?"

Tiffany sighed and frowned as she watched her lover sleep.
Her lover is sick too.

"Im sorry Yuri"
"I cant come over now"
"Taeyeon's sick, i've to take care of her"
"Dont worry, i'll get the doctors over there to give Jessica some special attention"

After replying,
Tiffany put her phone down as she went to check the latter's temperature.
But it didnt seem to subside a little.

Just then,
Tiffany's attention was caught up by Taeyeon's groans.

"Taetae..?" called Tiffany as she gently gave Taeyeon a push on her shoulder,
but received a wince from Taeyeon in her sleep.
"Whats wrong Taetae..?"

"My arm.. hurts.." whined Taeyeon in her sleep.

"Taetae.."
"Wake up" cooed Tiffany as she lightly shake Taeyeon up.

Slowly stirring from her sleep,
Taeyeon opened her eyes.

"Baby"
"Whats wrong?" asked Tiffany concernly as she helped Taeyeon sit up.

"My arms hurt.."

"It must have be the jab"
"Come on, my baby taengoo"
"It will be gone soon"
"Do you want anything to eat?"

Taeyeon pouted with teary eyes.

"I'll make your favourite food"
"Tell me" offered Tiffany with a smile.

Taeyeon looked at her with a doubtful expression.

"Anything for me?"

"Of course"
"Anything for my baby since shes sick"

"Only when im sick?" pouted Taeyeon.

Tiffany rubbed her chin.

"Maybe not"
"All the time for you"

Taeyeon pondered for awhile.

"I dont want you to cook anything for me"
"But i wanna ask you something"

"Anything for you baby taengoo" teased Tiffany as she gave Taeyeon a light pinch on her cheeks.

"Why are you so busy recently?" asked Taeyeon bluntly.

"Well.."

After the doctor got Jessica's condition stablised,
she were moved to the ICU ward.
The weak poor latter then slowly fluttered her eyes open and threw Yuri a soft warm yet weak smile.

"Sica?"
"How are you feeling now?" asked Yuri worriedly as she brushed Jessica's fringe away.

Jessica smiled weakly.

"Kwenchana Yuri-ah.." replied Jessica softly.

"Dont tell me that you're fine Sica!"
"You're obviously not!"

"Dont worry.."
"Im fine really.."

Deep inside Yuri,
her true feelings for Jessica had finally shown up.
Although she was oblivious to it,
but it was way to obvious for bystanders who were watching it.

"Sica.."
"You know how worried i was then?"
"When you were in so much pain?"
"How i wish i was the one going through"

Jessica smiled weakly as she held onto Yuri's hands warmly.

"This is my life Yul"
"Im fine with it"
"I accepted everything"

Yuri sighed.

"But you deserved much more Sica"
"You dont deserve to be treated like these by your parents"

"I know"
"But it doesnt matter anymore now"
"I'll leave soon, this world"
"I know it"

Yuri couldnt believe her ears.

"No Sica!"
"You cant!"
"You cant leave now when im starting to realise i've always been loving you!" exasperated Yuri helplessly as tears fell down her face.

Jessica was initially taken aback by Yuri's sudden outburst but nevertheless,
stayed calm.

"Its okay Yul"
"There will always be someone there for you in future"
"Better than me"
"But thanks for loving me Yul"
"You know i love you too" whispered Jessica weakly with a satisfied smile.

"Sica.."
"I cant afford to lose you.."
"I'll bring you out of your parents' hands"
"I'll make you better"

Jessica chuckled weakly.

"Its no use Yul.."
"Asthma, do you know about it?"
"Its just like some kind of time bomb where you wont know when would it trigger the time trickling timer"
"And the countdown starts"
"Thats why we have to take special and extra care with it" explained Jessica with an awkward and apologetic expression.

Jessica was glad,
inside her heart,
she finally heard the words she wanted to hear right from the beginning from Yuri's mouth.
It came out,
finally.
But it was far too late, isnt it?

"Its just that for me"
"I failed to take good care"
"Thats the consequences of it"

"It isnt your fault!"
"Your parents didnt take good care of you!" protested Yuri firmly.

"My parents.."
"Did they know im here..?" asked Jessica suddenly with a worried look.

Yuri shook her head immediately.

"Why didnt you tell them..?"
"Nevermind.."
"They wont be really bothered"

"Sica.."
"Why not head the doctors advice and get admitted into the critical ward to receive the treatment?"

"Because.."

Jessica's POV

Because i've lost faith in life.
Because i've lost faith in love.
Because i've lost faith in family.

I dont know whats there to push me on..
My family wont even be there for me if i were to go through those exhausting treatments.
Best still, i bet they will be like scolding me daily for not helping out with the work at the office.

"Because?"

"Nevermind"

"Please, Sica"
"Do it for me, at least?" begged Yuri sadly.

"Let me think about it Yul.."


A/N: im sorry for such a long delay for the update.
I really dont have enough time for this )':
My school work is catching up.
And tomorrow, i have a total of 10 hours of lesson T_T
12 hours in school..
Okay, im side tracking too much.

Well, Yuri confessed to Jessica at such a helpless and desperate moment.
But Jessica doesnt seemed too concern about it anymore.
She has lost faith in everything, havent she?
