"Omma and appa will be here outside waiting for you"
"Doctor says this surgery will be a success"
"Hwaiting!" cheered Mrs Jung worriedly as she wheeled Krystal to the entrance of the surgery theatre,
together with Mr Jung by the side.

Krystal nodded with a smile.

"Omma, i want to see unnie when im back"
"Okay?"

Mr and Mrs Jung nodded with a smile as they each give Krystal a peck on her forehead before she gets wheeled into the surgery theatre.
After Krystal got wheeled in and the door slid close,
Mr and Mrs Jung went back to Krystal's ward,
to start their long hours of wait for Krystal's return.

"Dear, where is sweetie?"
"I thought she was here last night?"

Mr Jung shrugged.

"I've got no idea"
"But shouldnt she be here for her sister who is going through such a major surgery?" said Mr Jung coldly.

"She might have her own reasons?"
"Probably she is back in the office to help you with your company maaters?"

"I told her to work in the hospital instead"

"Meetings?"

"There isnt any meeting at such hours"
"6am+?"

Mrs Jung sighed and shook her head lightly.

"Baby, are you okay?"
"You look really pale today" asked Yuri worriedly as she brushed Jessica's fringe aside.

Jessica nodded tiredly as she picked out the files she had brought from the office and opened it up,
a pen in her hand as always.

"Baby, can you listen to me for once?"
"Like stop working and at least get some rest during your treatment?" pleaded Yuri helplessly,
holding onto Jessica's cold hands.
"You're so cold"

Jessica sneezed.

"I cant.."
"Yul.. there will be a few more bags coming in later.."
"I've to do it or else appa's gonna be mad at me again and i dont like it.." said Jessica with a sniff.

Yuri frowned and got herself onto Jessica's bed and wrapped her arms around her after putting her coat over Jessica.

"Baby, your body temperature is dropping furiously"
"Why is it like this?"
"Did you tell the doctor?"

Jessica nodded.

"He says.. its the side effects"

"Should he be doing something else to aid it?"

Jessica shook her head.

"I dont want to"
"Its gonna make me feel way worst if hes going to give me more pills or jabs"
"I really cant take it anymore Yul" said Jessica, as she let out yet another sniff.

"But you're cold"
"Look at you, sneezing and sneezing"
'Your nose are turning watery" said Yuri, with a worried expression.
"You're so pale and weak"
"Why are you parents like this..?"

"I dont know too.."
"I want my parents to love me too Yul.."
"Im trying really hard.."
"But look.."

"Sica baby.."

Jessica wiped her tears away and threw Yuri a bright smile.

"Its okay, i'll live with it"
"its been 3 years like that already, isnt it?" said Jessica forcefully.
"Yul, you cant hug me like this"
"I cant work"

"Thats my intention"

"Yul.."
"Please..?" asked Jessica with puppy eyes.

Yuri sighed and nodded reluctantly as she got off Jessica and sat by her bed.

"If only you can stop working for a day.."
"If only.." whispered Yuri softly to herself.

Hours later, the doctors and nurses came in to remove the empty bag of solution from Jessica,
together with the familiar, dread looking metallic case.

Jessica mentally teared up everyday at the point of this time.
She didnt wanaa really tear up because she knew Yuri would be worried for her.
The nurses went to roll up Jessica's sleeves but received a huge shock and immediately motioned for the doctors.

"Doc, her arm is really swollen" whispered the nurse,
showing the doctors Jessica's swollen arm.

The doctor bend over and observed it,
ending it with a nod like finally.

"Jessica-sshi"
"You arm is too swollen for us to inject the medicine there"
"Is it okay if we do it on your right arm?"

Jessica shook her head firmly.

"No please"
"I really cant"

The doctors frowned.

"How about on your back?"

"You mean my.. b..umm..?" stuttered Jessica awkwardly.

"Im afraid so, Jessica-sshi"
"We cant risk anything looking at the swollen stage"

"Is there any other place you can do it on my body other than that place..?" asked Jessica awkwardly.

Jessica was shy.
She didnt want Yuri to see her bum.

The doctors pondered for a second.

"I guess we can do it on your stomach" suggested the doctors.

Jessica nodded with a sigh of relief.

Jessica's POV

Yuri stood by the side and let out a soft chuckle.
Jessica glared at her as the doctors gently pushed her back onto the bed,
and the nurses flipping her top up.

Yuri was shocked at how bony her lover had get ever since the start of this treatment.
And it has only been 4 treamtments..

Feeling a cold tingling feeling on her stomach,
Jessica closed her eyes tightly as she held onto the sheets tightly,
trying hard not to let out any wince but still,
she did.
The needle then slowly pierced through her stomach as she liquid gets released into her stomach,
for twice.

Few minutes later,
the doctors put on the plaster and left the room.
Jessica immediately got up from the bed and swayed a little.
Yuri was supporting her with her arms around her waist.

"Go back and lie down a little"
"You're geting light headed baby" said Yuri concernly.

Jessica shook her head.

"I need to get back to Krystal's ward"
"Im missing from there for quite some time.."

"You're a patient too baby!"
"You are a patient!"
"You need treatment, medical help as much as your sister does!"
"Cant you just tell your parents about it?!"

"Yul ,i've tried hinting to them that im dying"
"But they just brushed it off, saying i wont"
"And saying that im doing well"

"Baby, i swear to god"
"One more word of death related from you"
"I'll be leaving you right away" said Yuri angrily and firmly.

Jessica's eyes teared up.

"Thats the truth"
"I know my body"
"Its the medicine that are keeping me alive"
"Why are you like this?"
"I didnt ask you to come and pity me"
"Pity me who's already dying!"
"I didnt!" exploded Jessica in tears as she pushed Yuri aside and ran off despite the dizziness.

"Sica!" shouted Yuri as she ran after Jessica in the hospital walkway.

Right before Yuri's eyes,
Jessica fell onto the ground because of the dizziness with tears in her eyes.
Yuri ran forward and wrapped her arms around Jessica.

"Baby.."
"Im sorry.." whispered Yuri into Jessica's ears.
"I didnt mean to.."
"I promise i wont leave you"

Jessica pushed her away in tears.

"Go away" said Jessica coldly as she struggled to stand up,
but failed.

"Sica.."

"Go away, im going back"

"Take some rest Sica.."
"Please, i'll go away as long as you take some rest"
"I know you're mad at what i've said, im sorry"
"Sica, i really love you"
"Please, i really want to see you rest"

Jessica was really helpless and exhausted at that time.
Turning to Yuri, she spoke.

"Yul.."
"Im tired.."
"Really tired.."
"But im not even granted a day off.."
"Tell me what can i do..?" asked Jessica as tears streamed down her face mercilessly while she struggled to get on her feets,
with Yuri helping her

Yuri sighed as she wiped the tears of Jessica's.

"Baby, i'll bring you out of here"
"Out of your parents, just leave"
"I'll take care of you"

Jessica shook her head as she turned to the direction and started walking towards Krystal's ward,
with Yuri supporting her.

"Its too late Yul.."
"Really.."

Upon entering the ward,
Jessica saw Mr and Mrs Jung sitting by the side of Krystal's bed,
with a worried expression.

"Where were you?" asked Mr Jung as soon as he saw the entrace of Jessica and Yuri.

"I was..-"

"Your sister wanted to see you before entering the surgery theatre"
"But you werent here"
"You better stay here till she comes out" said Mr Jung grumpily.

Clearly written on his face,
Mr Jung was worried for Krystal only.
This time round,
Jessica had caught Mrs Jung's attention.

Mrs Jung walked over to Jessica and placed her hands over Jessica's sweating forehead.

"Sweetie, are you really sick?"
"Since we're in the hospital, do you want omma to bring you to see the doctor?"

Jessica shook her head as she pushed Mrs Jung's hands away.

"Im fine.."

"You sure?"
"Omma just doesnt want to neglect you because of Krystal" said Mrs Jung worriedly.

Yuri rolled her eyes and muttered,

"Its too late"

Mrs Jung looked back at her with a puzzled expression.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, what do-"
"OUCH!"

Jessica had just landed her foot on Yuri's as hard as she could and adding on to a glare to shut her up.

"Sweetie, how about like this?"
"Take a rest first"

Jessica sighed as she saw her fathers dissatisfied look and shook her head.

"The secretary brought the work here already"
"I've to finish it by today and get ready for the meetings tonight"

Yuri shot her a worried look.

Jessica's POV

No point worrying omma now.
Shes worried for Krystal already.

3 days later,
Krystal was back at home resting with Mr and Mrs Jung by her side,
taking care of her.

On that night,
Jessica returned home slightly earlier than usual because she had a few meetings lesser that night.
And also because she didnt had any treatment that day since it marks the new week.
And the 2nd week of treatment commences the next day.

While Mr Jung was in Krystal's room,
taking care of her,
Mrs Jung was waiting by the living room,
all dressed to go out.

As soon as Jessica stepped into the house,
she was shocked to Mrs Jung sitting there waiting for her.

"Omma..?" called Jessica tiredly as she took her shoes off.

"Oh sweetie"
"You're back"
"Come to somewhere with omma" said Mrs Jung immediately as she urged Jessica to put on her shoes and dragged her out of the mansion and onto the car.

Despite the fact that Jessica was extremely exhausted,
thinking that that day was the only day she could rest after getting the jabs from Tiffany,
she got dragged out by her mother.

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere"

15 minutes later, Jessica and Mrs Jung had arrived outside the hospital.
Jessica's eyes widened.

"Why.. are we here..?"

"Krystal's been saying that you are always feeling under weather sweetie"
"And omma has been thinking"
"Its been 3 years i've brought you for your yearly full body check up"
"I want to bring you for one now"

"Omma.."
"Its okay, i just want to go home and rest"

Mrs Jung shook her head.

"I've made an appointment with the doctors already"
"Come on" said Mrs Jung as she pushed Jessica into the hospital.

Jessica dreaded the hospital.
She hated the smell.
The stuff that was inside disgusts her.

Pushing her into the doctors office,
Jessica was welcomed by another group of doctors.

"Hello Jessica-sshi"
"We're here to give you a full body check up"

Jessica sighed and turned to Mrs Jung.

"Im really fine omma.."
"I havent got any asthma attack for days"

"For days?!"

"I mean for a period of time" said Jessica quickly,
trying to cover up her lie.

"Doctor, can you start the check up now?"
"She said shes tired, so i want to get her home to rest"

"Sure, no problem" said the doctors with a smile.

As soon as Mrs Jung walked to the side of the room and sat down,
she watched Jessica as the doctors brought the equipment around and sat infront of Jessica.
First up,
it was drawing of blood.

Jessica gasped at the needles and closed her eyes while the doctors tied the rubber tubing around her bony arm.
Immediately, the doctors jabbed the needle in which made Jessica let out a soft wince.
The doctors gave her an assuringly smile as they professionally took out 4 tubes of blood from Jessica's arm before putting a plaster over it.

Next, Jessica was being brought to the other room and had a full body X-ray.

After that, Jessica was being brought back to the room.
The tests were simple and more or less done unless the report says there is more to what it seems like.
So the results were important.

"Jessica-sshi, Mrs Jung had requested us to give you your annual vaccines and nutrition jabs"
"So before you leave, can you please roll up your sleeve?"

Jessica sighed and do as she was told.
The doctors gasped a little at Jessica's swollen arms.

"Whats wrong with this?" asked the doctors concernly as they lightly tap on Jessica's swollen arm.

Jessica let out a loud wince.

"Its hurting so much, we cant do it on this arm"
"How about your right?"

Jessica shook her head.

"its okay, i've accidentally knock on my arm"
"Thats why its like this"

Mrs Jung overheard it and went over to take a look.
A shock look was on her face.

"Sweetie, what happened?!"
"Why didnt you tell omma?"

"Doctor, just do it here"

"But it will hurt a lot Jessica-sshi"
"How about on your back?"

Jessica shook her head firmly.

"just do it here"
"Im fine"

"You sure sweetie?"

Jessica nodded her head as she closed her eyes.

The doctors then sighed as they gave her the vaccines one after the other.
Silently,
tears of pain were falling off her face.

Minutes later,
the whole test were done.

"Jessica-sshi, please rest more and drink more water after today"
"Please come back in a week for your report" said the doctors with a bow as they sent Jessica and Mrs Jung to the door.

Jessica swayed a little but managed to caught her balance back after holding onto the wall.

"Sweetie, are you alright?" asked Mrs Jung worriedly.

Jessica nodded tiredly as she started walking back towards the car.
On the car, Jessica didnt speak but just kept her eyes shut and rested her head against the cool window.

Mrs Jung watched with worry as they got home and Jessica immediately got back to her and rested.
Mrs Jung was by her room door when she realised how tired her daughter had become.

"Sleep well sweetie"
"Omma will collect the report for you next week"

"Thanks omma"

With that,
Mrs Jung closed Jessica's room door and went back to her room.
Surprised to see Mr Jung sitting there,
waiting for her.

"Dear?"

"Where did you go?"

"Oh, i thought you were with Krystal"
"So i brought Jessi out awhile" said Mrs Jung casually.

"Where did you two go then?"
"Should have told me"

"I've brought her to the hospital"

"Whats wrong?"

"Remember Krystal's diary?"
"I thought we should bring her for a checkup"
"We havent been doing it for the past 3 years"
"Remember?"

Mr Jung nodded.

"I even had the doctors to give Jessi vaccines and nutrition jabs"
"Did you know, sweetie didnt even cried out when she was given the vaccines and nutrition jabs"
"I was so surprised!"

"She had probably grown up" replied Mr Jung with a shrug.

"Dear, you know"
"Sweetie's right arm were all swelled up when she was receiving the jabs"
"It was really swollen and it looked really painful!"

"Did the doctor say anything?"

"Sweetie said that she had a knock"
"Thats why.."

"Oh.."

"I'll go get a warm cloth for her, dear"
"I'll be right back"

"Dear, why not tomorrow?"
"You're tired, arent you?"
"Taking care of Krystal and bringing Jessi to the hospital"
"Plus, its a knock, it wouldnt be of a big problem"

Mrs Jung pondered for awhile but let out a yawn.

"I guess you're right"
"I should wait till tomorrow"
"Oh, can you give sweetie a break tomorrow?"
"The doctors said she should take a rest after today's tests"

Mr Jung smiled as he wrapped his arms around Mrs Jung's waist.

"Of course, dear" replied Mr Jung sweetly.

Jessica was turning around on her bed.
She couldnt fall asleep because her arm were hurting too badly.
Picking up her phone,
Jessica tapped on it for a few times before it got through.

"Yoboseyo"

"Unnie.."

"Jessi?"
"Whats wrong..?"

"Unnie.."
"My arm.. its hurting.."
"A lot.."
"What can i do..?" asked Jessica weakly.

"Why is it hurting so much suddenly?"
"We havent been injecting on your arms anymore"
"The swell should slowly get better"
"What happened?"

"I dont know.."
"Unnie.. please, help me.."
"Omma brought me on for a check up and the doctors gave me a few vaccines and nutrition jabs.."
"Its hurting now.."

"Jessi.."
"Didnt you tell the doctors about your condition?"

"I didnt.."
"I just told them i had a knock"

"Jessi!"
"How silly can you get!"
"You either place a warm towel over it now"
"Or that i'll come over"

"Nonono.."
"Unnie, i'll just wait and see you tomorrow.."
"Thanks unnie.."

"Jessi, if it really hurts that much"
"I'll come over, alright?"

"Okay, its fine unnie"
"Thanks"

The next morning came.
Mrs Jung came into Jessica's room early in the morning but to find the bed neat and tidy,
without any trace of Jessica.

"Dear" called Mrs Jung as she walked down the stairs towards the dining table.
"Have you seen Jessi?"

Mr Jung shook his head.

"I've not"
"I thought you said to give her a day break?"

"I've yet to tell her"
"I think shes out for work already"

"I dont understand why is she always leaving this early"

"Is there a lot of work at the company these few days?"

"Im not too sure"
"But even if its our busy period"
"Its not even that busy to the extend you have to start so early and end so late" explained Mr Jung as he took a sip of coffee.

"Do you think she'll be alright?"
"She was rather pale yesterday now that i come to think of it"
"She couldnt even stand stabily"
"And the doctor says she needs some rest after yesterday's test"

"I think she'll be fine"
"Plus, she's fine enough to leave"
"Isnt she?"

Neither did he know that Jessica actually had her body dragged out of the house earlier on.
She was not at all okay, fine or alright.
