"Jessi!"
"You're awake?!" exclaimed Tiffany in tears as she quickly stood up from her seat.

Jessica nodded weakly with a smile.

"What happened?!"
"Why were you in the cold storage!"
"You know you almost died!"

"Unnie.."
"Can you discharge me..?" asked Jessica weakly.

Tiffany's mouth dropped opened.

"What?"

"Discharge me.." repeated Jessica,
this time slightly louder than before."

"I heard"
"But are you mad or something?"
"You're not in the condition to even get out of the bed and you want to be discharge?!"

"But ive got so many things.."
"To do.." replied Jessica with a pained expression.

"I dont care what you-"

Tiffany's sentence was interrupted by Jessica's phone.
It was a call from her parents.

"Yoboseyo.." answered Jessica weakly.

"Jessica!"
"Where were you?!"
"You missed so many meetings last night that ive been receivng so much complain calls last night regarding your absence!"
"You know i dont like people to mess with my work!" scolded Mr Jung angrily over the phone.

Jessica's tears were falling.
Her heart broke once again.
To be honest,
Jessica didnt know how many more times could her heart take it.
How many more times could her heart be broken by her family and Yuri.

"Chaeseonghamnida appa.." whispered Jessica weakly as her voice trembled in tears.

"Dont tell me you're sorry!"
"You better go and make up for your mistake before i hear another complain call!"

"Neh.."

"And Krystal is looking for you"
"You better come over after you're done today!"

"But-"

The phone call just went dead.

"What happened Jessi?"

Jessica shook her head weakly as she ripped everything off her and got off the bed wobbily.
Tiffany was shocked as she held Jessica back.

"What do you think you're doing!"
"Are you digging your own grave and seeking for it right now?!"
"You know you were on the verge of being brain dead last night!"

Jessica turned back to Tiffany with her anger glare.

"So what if i am brain dead..?"
"Do you think.. anyone would be bothered..?"
"You want to know.. whats wrong right..?" said Jessica in tears.
"My parents.. didnt bother about my.. wellbeing.."
"He just.. called and scolded me.."
"For messing up.. his work.."
"And demanded for me to go make.. things up for it.."
"They dont.. love me now.."
"No longer.."
"No longer.."
"You get it?!" shouted Jessica with all the energy she have as she collasped onto the floor,
crying her eyes out.

Tiffany's heart broke looking at the broken Jessica.
She squatted down beside Jessica and hugged her tightly,
carressing the back of her head.

Just then, Jessica started to feel her chest tighten.
The pain was searing through as she struggled to breath.
Tiffany realised that something was right and broke the hug immediately but was shocked to see Jessica,
clutching onto her chest in pain as her face's colour went off.

Quickly scrambling to Jessica's bag,
Tiffany threw everything out and found her inhaler.
Passing it to Jessica, it seemed like she had to take more puffs than usual to get her condition a little calmed down.

Tiffany watched her in worry.

"Look at you Jessi"
"Dont bother about your dad"
"You really need to rest"
"Your asthma seemed to have worsen"
"Why are you taking so many more puffs than usual?"
"The one ive prescribed for you?" asked Tiffany worriedly as she helped Jessica up who was still panting slightly.

"It didnt.."
"Didnt.. help much.. unnie.."
"I had to.. take a few to be.. able to breath.." explained Jessica weakly as she packed her bag slowly.

"You have to come down to look for me Jessi"
"I need to give you a full body check up"
"Its serious"
"You know how serious asthma could get if one didnt get it treated well or took care of it well?"

Jessica shook her headly weakly with a smile.

"Its okay unnie.."
"I'll leave first.."
"Thanks for.. last night's help.." said Jessica before staggering out of the ward.

Tiffany turned and ran after Jessica.

"Jessi!"
"Wait! Im really worried for you!!" said Tiffany as she held onto Jessica's wrist.

Jessica turned with a weak smile.

"Im fine.. unnie.."
"Really.." lied Jessica.

Tiffany sighed.
She knew Jessica was lying.
Her pained expression that she tried to hide.
The cold beads of sweat falling off her forehead.
Everything of Jessica explained that she was unwell.

"Alright"
"But just let me send you home please?"
"At least let me see you home that you're home safe" said Tiffany finally,
giving in to Jessica's determination.

Jessica nodded her head.
Tiffany smiled as she took Jessica's bag from her and helped her towards the car park.

Yuri's POV

Sica's in the hospital..
I really want to visit her..

But i promised to give her what she want..
Should i break my promise although im not sure if i could give her happiness..
Now im with Yoona..

While Yuri was hesistating to visit Jessica or not,
she felt an arm around her waist.
Turning to her back, it was Yoona smiling brightly at her.

"Whats on your mind Yul?" asked Yoona casually with a wink.

"Oh.."
"Nothing much"
"An old friend of mine was admitted into the hospital"
"I was thinking whether if i should visit her or not"
"Cause i doubt her parents would be there for her judging at the situation.."

Yoona pouted and smiled.

"Its okay"
"You should visit that old friend of yours since shes in the hospital"

Yoona had a rough idea of who Yuri was talking about.
After knowing Yuri for years,
who wouldnt know who is always on Yuri's mind when it comes to friend.
Yoona couldnt possibly understand why Yuri and Jessica couldnt work out even though their relationship seemed so close and everything.

"Really?" asked Yuri as her eyes lit up immediately with happiness.

Yoona nodded, feigning an understanding smile.

"Go on"
"I've something on today with my friends too" said Yoona as she pushed Yuri out of the house.

With a goodbye kiss, Yuri drove off to the hospital at full speed.
Arriving at the hospital, Yuri was disappointed that Jessica had left the hospital even before she was allowed to.
It was always like this when Jessica's been hospitalised.

But by watching the nurses' worried look,
Yuri had a weird feeling inside her.
Knowing Jessica would have definitely gone home,
Yuri quickly drove off to Jessica's house.

Pulling up at Jessica's house,
Yuri saw a pink Audi car driving off.
Guessing that it was Tiffany judging the pink car.
It seemed like Tiffany has a pink BMW in Singapore and a pink Audi.

Sighing at little to herself,
Yuri walked towards the mansion and pressed for the bell.
The ahjumma opened it for her.
Entering the mansion with a heavy heart,
Yuri slowly walked up to Jessica's room.
Standing outside Jessica's room,
Yuri overhead a little conversation that Jessica was having.

"Im so sorry for.. missing the meetings last night.."
"Something cropped up.."
"Ah.. yes.."
"Sorry for the trouble.."
"I'll take care of everything.."
"Ah.. yes.."
"Please take care of yourself and have a nice day.."

After ending the conversation,
a huge painful coughing fit was heard.
Yuri was so worried that she quickly ran into Jessica's room but was so disappointed with Jessica,
to see her laptop opened up with a video conversation with other directors.
Thank goodness the video call has ended.
Jessica turned to the door, to see Yuri standing there with a worried look.

"Yul..?" coughed Jessica weakly.

"What do you think you were doing?!"
"You're sick yet you're here still having the damn meeting?!"
"What do you think you're doing with your body?!"
"Are you trying to destroy it?!"
"Or is it that you think you have a body thats made of iron or steel?!"
"What is that you're trying to show me?!" exasperated Yuri as she saw the weak Jessica,
sitting by her study table.
"You dont want me to bother you"
"Fine i didnt, but why cant you at least take care of yourself?!"
"Do you even know how worried i was for you when i received Tiffany's phone call?!"

Jessica just looked away as she started to get up dizzily,
staggering out of her room.
Yuri was so furious because she was so worried inside her.
Yuri grabbed onto Jessica's wrist roughly,
turning Jessica around.

"Look at you!"
"You're running such a high fever yet you are not trying to rest!"
"Listen to me, Sica"
"Please, at least listen to me?"

Jessica turned to Yuri,
holding back her tears.

"What are.. you to make.. me listen..?"
"You're.. just a mere.. friend of mine.."
"Just go and.. have fun with your.. lover.."

Yuri's heartached at Jessica's words.
She cant deny that Jessica's words hurt her.

"Even if i die.."
"No one.. would be bothered.."
"No one.."

"Who said so?"
"I will be bothered!" defended Yuri.

"Dont.."
"Let go.."
"I've to go for my internship.."
"Im already late.." said Jessica coldly as she swung her hands free from Yuri's grasps,
heading towards the door.

"Sica!!" called Yuri worriedly as she ran after Jessica.

Jessica just walked out of the mansion and got onto the cab.
Chasing behind, Yuri got onto her car and went after the cab,
eventually arriving at the Jung's Corporation.

Jessica didnt understand herself either.
Why is she always the person suffering in her life.
Why is she so stupid to always think of others first.

Alighting from the cab,
Jessica massaged her temples with her eyes closed.
While massaging, a group of 3 came past,
giggling and chuckling hard,
bumping on Jessica hard and made Jessica fell onto the ground with a loud thud.
Her body gave up on her.

Yuri quickly rushed out of her car,
towards the unconscious body.
At the same time, Sooyoung came running over to Jessica.

"Sica!!" called Sooyoung worriedly as she shook Jessica violently.

Yuri quickly pushed Sooyoung away and carried Jessica up in her arms,
towards her car but was stopped by Sooyoung.

"YAH!"
"Where do you think you're going with Sica!"
"KWON YURI!" shouted Sooyoung angrily as she ran over to Yuri,
trying to get Jessica over to her.
"You hurt Sica so many times!"
"You're not fit to have her!"
"Who are you to get her away from me?!"
"I love her, what about you?!"
"You only cared about your Yoona!"

Yuri's eyes popped open at Sooyoung.
She was shocked to see Sooyoung bursting out like this.
In school, Sooyoung was the introverted kind.
Always keeping quiet.

"Im her best friend for years"
"I've the right to take care of her!" protested Yuri firmly.

"Best friend?!"
"HAHA" mocked Sooyoung sacarstically.
"Best friend dont hurt each other!"

Yuri rolled her eyes at Sooyoung.

"Sica doesnt love you"
"Give up Sooyoung"
"Sica's heart is for me" said Yuri bluntly.

"I'll-"

Sooyoung's sentence was interrupted by Jessica's.
Jessica was stirring, her eyes slowly shot opened.

"Put.. me down.." whispered Jessica weakly at Yuri.

"You're sick Sica"
"I've to bring you to the hospital"
"You know your body Sica"

"Sica, i'll bring you to the hospital instead"
"I'll take care of you" offered Sooyoung with a warm caring voice.

Jessica shook her head as she struggled to get of Yuri's arms.
Yuri reluctantly let her down but with her arms over Jessica's waist,
supporting her.

"Its okay.. Sooyoung.."
"I dont need.. the hospital.." said Jessica weakly,
ending it with a painful coughing fit.
"I have to.. work.."

"Work is not everything Sica"
"I know you might need to work far more than any of us here"
"But you dont have to be so hard on yourself" explained Sooyoung with a worried frown.

Yuri chuckled at Sooyoung's ignorant.

"She needs to work far more than any of you here?!" mocked Yuri sacarstically.

Jessica turned and glared at Yuri,
giving her a light kick on her leg.
Yuri mouthed Jessica, "wae?".

"What did you mean?"

"Forget it.."
"You two continue.. bickering.."
"I'll head inside.. first.." said Jessica softly as she staggered into the office wobbily.

Right after she stepped into the office,
standing infront of her table was a pile of files.
With a sigh, Jessica shoved all of it into a huge recycle bag and headed towards Ms Kang's office.
Entering it, she found Ms Kang sleeping there soundly.
Leaving her medical certificate down, Jessica went out of the office and headed towards her dad's.
The medical certificate was given by Tiffany, Tiffany wanted Jessica to rest but Jessica didnt.
She just took it as an excuse for her internship and headed to her dad's work.

Sitting down on the seat,
Jessica's head was getting dizzier and dizzier.
Her body felt weaker than before,
like before she left the hospital.
She could feel it herself that her body is going to give her up within another few hours.

So for the next few hours,
Jessica's hands didnt stop for a single time.
She was busy typing, writing and signing.
Finally, after a good 5 hours of work,
Jessica had more or less finished her dad's work as well as 3/4 of her internship's work.
Bringing everything into a bag, Jessica stood up from her seat but fell back suddenly as her chest starts to tighten again.
Oxygen couldnt get through her chest.

Scrambling her bags for her inhaler,
Jessica quickly grabbed it and inhaled it for several times before slowly calming down.
It was then Yuri entered the office with a firm look.

"I knew it"
"Couldnt find you in the internship office"
"So you're here"

"Why didnt you go..?"

"I was waiting for you"

"For..?"

"To get you home and rest"
"Or if not, hospital" said Yuri firmly yet coldly.

Jessica chuckled sacarstically.

"You're bothered..?"
"Please.. dont.."
"Its not.. gonna do anything good.."

Yuri's facial expression dropped and softened.

"Come Sica"
"I'll bring you to the hospital"
"I've called Tiffany unnie just now and she told me about everything that had happened"
"You were trapped in the cold storage and everything"
"You should have stayed in the hospital"
"Your treatment is not completed yet"

Jessica sighed.

"Yul.."
"Why are you doing this..?"
"You love.. Yoona.."
"Go and spend.. time with her.."
"Why spend your.. time here.."
"Persuading me to the hospital..?"

"Because im concerned about you" replied Yuri flatly.
"I promise you'll go as an outpatient and wont be admitted into the hospital Sica"
"So just go please"

Jessica shook her head.

"I've to visit Krystal"
"She was looking for me"
"My parents said she was looking for me"
"And the work here, my appa scolded me for leaving it unattended last night"

"But you're sick!"
"Sick Sica!"

"Tiffany unnie... even told him... i was in the hospital..."
"Told him i was... fighting for my life but he... didnt even bother..."
"So what makes... you think im important..?"
"Yul.. just let me go now.."
"I doubt i can hang onto this any further.."

Yuri's eyes turned a little teary.
She knelt down infront of Jessica,
with her back towards Jessica.

"Climb on"
"I'll carry you and send you to the hospital to visit Krystal"
"But after visiting, A&E is where you'll be going" said Yuri firmly.

Jessica stood there with a dumbfounded look for a few seconds before Yuri tugged her,
and fell onto Yuri's back.

"Lie on my back and rest"
"I know your chest is hurting" said Yuri as she grabbed Jessica's belongings and headed towards the carpark,
and towards her car.

Jessica was semiconscious then as she was being put into the car.
Yuri was driving at high speed to the hospital because beads of cold sweat were trickling down Jessica's forehead while her forehead were creased with frowns.
As soon as she had arrived at the hospital, Yuri woke Jessica up and helped her to Krystal's ward.
Yuri told Jessica she will give her only 2 hours in there before she will barge in and get her out.

Yuri made it clear to Jessica that since her parents werent concerned about her,
she will take care of Jessica.
Watching the sick Jessica, Yuri couldnt be bothered more.
She couldnt be bothered about Yoona anymore.
She hate to see Jessica in this state.
It hurts her to see her like this.

Entering the room slowly and quietly,
Jessica smiled weakly after seeing her sister,
reading the magazine silently while her parents were sleeping soundly.

"Unnie?" whispered Krystal excitedly.

Krystal seemed to have gotten better with the dialysis.
She had regained her face colour and had started to gain a little weight.
She was looking better.

Jessica smiled and nodded to her as she sat on Krystal's bed.
Ruffling Krystal's hair, Jessica smiled tiredly.

"How are you Krystal..?"
"Unnie's.. sorry for not being.. able to be.. here for you.."
"Are.. you feeling better..?" said Jessica before turning to the side as she coughed.

Krystal watched her sister in worry as she patted her back while Jessica coughed.

"I am unnie"
"The doctor says i can go home soon"
"And the dialysis will be done at home for me"
"Appa and omma has both agreed" smiled Krystal widely but her smile fell into a frown seconds later.
"But unnie.. you.."
"Are you sick?"

Jessica shook her head slightly.

"Not really.." lied Jessica with a smile.
"Unnie's happy that... you're alright you know...?"
"Unnie's sorry that.. unnie cant donate my.. kidney to you.."

Krystal glared at her.

"Dont you dare, unnie"
"Your health im worried unnie"
"Dialysis dont hurt too"
"So it doesnt matter" said Krystal bluntly.

"How could... it not hurt..?"

"Its just the needle insertion part hurts unnie"
"Other than that, dialysis only makes me tired"
"But i'll feel better after resting"

"Good.."
"Krystal.. unnie's a little.. tired.."
"You'll be alright on.. your own..?"
"With appa.. and omma.. here sleeping..?"

Krystal nodded with a smile.

"Here.." said Jessica as she got something out from her bag.

Passing the tablet to Krystal,
Jessica spoke.

"Here.."
"This is.. my tablet.."
"Use it to entertain.. yourself.."
"Unnie has to go.." said Jessica as she threw Krystal a hug.

"Unnie.. you're boiling"

"Ani.."
"Unnie's just feeling.. a little hot today.."
"Goodnights Krystal.."
"See you home soon.."

"Neh, goodnights unnie"

With that Jessica slowly walked out of Krystal's ward,
and to see Yuri still there,
waiting for her while tapping her phone away.

"If you're busy.."
"You can go first..''
"I can get to.. the A&E on my own.. Yul.."

Yuri looked up and shook her head firmly.

"No, i'll personally get you there"
"And im not busy at all"
"I've told Yoona i'll be taking care of an old friend of mine"
"For your info, Tiffany unnie is already here at the A&E waiting for you" said Yuri as she supported Jessica down to the A&E department.

Right after Jessica left,
Krystal fiddled a little with Jessica's ipad but was shocked to see her sister's daily schedule.
Her sister had less than 4 hours of rest everyday.
Then it made her even more sure that her sister was ill.
She knew her sister has asthma and she must have enough rest if not her condition will worsen within days.

Slowly slipping into her slippers,
Krystal sneaked out the room and wanted to follow Jessica when she saw Yuri supporting Jessica,
Jessica's head falling onto Yuri's shoulder tiredly.

Krystal's POV

Why is unnie so sick yet appa and omma didnt mention a single thing..
Im not longer the Krystal 3 years ago..

Why isnt omma and appa taking care of unnie instead..
Im all well already..
I shall follow unnie to see if shes okay..

"Tiff unnie, we're here" said Yuri as she pushed the curtains open at one of the A&E corner bed,
to see Tiffany sitting by the chair waiting for them.

"Here, put Jessi down" instructed Tiffany as she helped flipped the blanket away.
"Jessi, how are you feeling now?" asked Tiffany as she brushed Jessica's fringe away with a worried expression.
