The next day, in school while Jessica & Yuri was sitting in the food court.
Yuri was constantly staring at Jessica with an awkward expression.

"What?" snapped Jessica coldly

Jessica had been observing Yuri for awhile because Yuri has been constantly staring at her for the past 15 minutes.

"Err.."
"Sica.. i've got something to ask you.." started Yuri awkwardly as she scratched her head

"What?
"Just spill it

"I was wondering.."
"Do you still love or like me?"

"WHAT?!" Jessica exclaimed with a total shocked expression
"Why do you even wanna know?"
"You want to reject me further right?"
"I promised i wont stress you, i'll keep a distance away from you"
"I'll keep my word, so seriously stop asking.

"I didnt say anything Sica"
"I just wanted to confirm something.."

"Something..?"

"Just answer me please?”
"Before that danshin gets here" pleaded Yuri

"Okay fine"
"Yes, i still love you"
"I told you before my feelings would always be for you" said Jessica bluntly
"So now what?”

"I was wondering..."
"I mean just wonder, if you would like to give ourselves a chance..?" asked Yuri shyly as she played with her fingers nervously

"WHAT?!" coughed Jessica as she choked upon her own saliva
"Hey take it easy"

"I was just wondering.." muttered Yuri as she patted Jessica's back slowly

"Are you serious?" asked Jessica almost immediately after she had calmed down

"Its okay if you dont want.." said Yuri as she forced a smile at Jessica
"I thought probably we should just try it out"

"Of course i want"
"But its trying out again?"
"We've tried our first time but it failed, right?" said Jessica sadly.

'I know, but everyone is asking me to try again"
“Not confirming my feelings yet" said Yuri bluntly with a sorry expression.

Jessica's happiness died down a little.

"Im sorry Sica, if you felt hurt by it"
"Its okay if you dont want it"

Yuri's POV

Well, but i also cant say that my heart doesnt have YoonA anymore.
I mean, she still lingers around my heart at times.
But everyone's asking me to give Sica a chance.

Just then, Taeyeon skipped happily into the food court with a wide smile plastered on her face, waving furiously as Jessica&Yuri.

"YAH!" shouted Taeyeon from far as she approached Jessica&Yuri
"Kids!"

"What danshin?"
"The both of us are taller than you, you call us kids?" teased Yuri playfully as she placed her hand above Taeyeon's head

"Tiffany's not going to like this" grumbled Taeyeon
"Im going to complain to Tiffany!"

"Well, go ahead"
"I can also do it on Tiffany, you know"
"All of you are danshins here" smirked Yuri evily

"RIGHT RIGHT YOU GIANT!" said Taeyeon bluntly with an annoyed expression.

"YAH!" exclaimed Yuri as she smacked Taeyeon's head
"Ouch!" winced Taeyeon as she held onto the back of her head
"Im going to get a migraine for this!" pouted Taeyeon.

"I think its fine if you're going to get a migraine"
"You have a girlfriend doctor to yourself" said Yuri as-a-matter-of-factly

"And when i tell Tiffany you were the one behind it"
"What do you think she'll say?" argued Taeyeon as she walked side by side with Jessica&Yuri to the classroom

"Well, she cant say anything"
"I'll say you're harrassing me"

"We'll see if Tiffany's gonna help me or you" said Taeyeon as she spat her tongue at Yuri&sped off to class.

Leaving Yuri&Jessica behind, Jessica was laughing inside herself at the two who was fighting away like kids.

After thinking for a few minutes, Jessica decided to give it shot again.
She ran up to Yuri and hooked her arms around Yuri's.

Yuri was at first a little taken aback by Jessica's sudden behaviour but went along with it.
Afterall, she was the once initiating this trying out of relationship.
While they listening to the lessons in class, Jessica was grinning to herself away like someone whose mind werent in the right place.
Taeyeon&Yuri started to realise the weirdness in Jessica&started staring at her like 'whats wrong with you?'.
Realising what was going own, Jessica immediately got the grin off her face&started listening to the class seriously.
But the class was too boring for Jessica as she could understand&remember whatever the teacher taught for only once.
After the lesson ended, Taeyeon pulled Jessica to a corner&"interrogated" her.

"Sica" said Taeyeon as she beamed her eyes at her
"Tell me whats going on now!"
"One moment you're as cold as an ice berg”
"Now you're as happy as a lunatic"

"What?"
"Im a lunatic?!" exclaimed Jessica shocked

"Geez"
"Your description really needs more work danshin" laughed Yuri as she walked over to the two of them
"I know whats wrong with her" added Yuri with a smirk

"Then tell me!"
"We're friends, arent we?"
"Why cant you tell me?" pouted Taeyeon with puppy eyes

"Well.."
"The thing is.. I've decided to try out the relationship thingy with Sica again" said Yuri

"WHAT?!"
"SINCE WHEN?!" exclaimed Taeyeon excitedly
"Since the time when we were waiting for you in school?"

"SICA!”
"Is this true?!" said Taeyeon as she turned to Jessica immediately, shaking her violently

"Hey stop it"
"You're hurting her" said Yuri annoyed as she separated Jessica with Taeyeon
"And its true"

"WHAT?!"
"Awww~" teased Taeyeon playfully
"Someone's offended because i've shook Sica too violently right?"

"YAH!"
"Its not true" defended Yuri almost immediately

While Jessica felt a little disappointed at Yuri's response.

Jessica's POV

Its not true..?
Yul.. are you really not concerned about.. me..?
Sigh..
Nevermind, look on the brighter side!
I'll make you fall in love with me Yul!

1 year later, Jessica, Yuri&Taeyeon had successfully gotten into their third year of polytechnic.
Well, everyone is curious what went past the whole year, and what happened to YulSic&TaeNy right?
Over the whole year, TaeNy's relationship got sweeter&sweeter,
they are now even in an open relationship.
And the best part is, both the parents agreed to the both of their relationship as long as they dont do anything that would disgrace their family name.

But, as for YulSic, things arent going that well as compared to TaeNy.
At times..

On a day during a lecture, while Yuri&Taeyeon was focusing on the lecture,
Jessica was thinking through all these flashbacks.
Of course, there are much more of such flashbacks.
But every flashback made Jessica's heart ache a little at the thought of it.

Jessica's POV

Should i really let Yuri go..?
Its like pointless for me to hold onto her..
Thinking of the times..
Yeah, i rather be best friends with her..
Yul changed so much..

"Hey Sica..?" called Taeyeon who gave Jessica a slight push

"Oh.. errr yeah?"
"Lecture has ended 5 minutes ago"

"What are you thinking?"

"I was just.."
"Err.. nothing" lied Jessica as she quickly packed her stuff up&left the lecture hall with Yuri&Taeyeon.

At the foodcourt, while Taeyeon left the two to buy her lunch, Jessica cleared with a serious expression.

"Yul.." started Jessica slowly
"You know, i've been thinking.."

"Err.. thinking..?" replied Yuri awkwardly

"Well, maybe we should just break up.."
"We're getting nowhere.." said Jessica, fighting against the urge to cry
"I can see that you're not really as comfortable as you are with me when we werent together.."
"I prefer the way you treated me as best friends.."
"I dont wish to see you so uncomfortable anymore.."
"So yeah.."
 

Flashback1;

At a water theme park, Jessica wanted Yuri to buy her an ice cream but Yuri didnt want to.
Yuri felt that Jessica's getting a little too clingy, didnt expect her to be like this after agreeing to try out the relationship.

"Yul.."
"Please?"
"Cant you get me an ice cream?" pouted Jessica with puppy eyes

"Sica-ah!" exasperated Yuri
"Cant you go get it yourself?!"

"Why cant you get it for me?" asked Jessica dejected
"You're my girlfriend.."

"So what if i am?"
"It also doesnt mean you can treat me like that"
"Ask me to get you this&that!" snapped Yuri impatiently

"Oh.."
"Im sorry Yul.." replied Jessica dejectedly as she turned away&left the water theme park after changing out her wet clothes.

Flashback2;

"Hey Yul!" called Jessica happily as she approached Yuri who was standing by the bus stop waiting for Jessica

"What took you so long..?"

"Oh im sorry!" apologised Jessica immediately
"Dont be mad at me Yul, i was caught in a jam!" smiled Jessica sweetly
"As a form of apology, i'll do anything for you today" offered Jessica

"Ah, nevermind"
"Its okay" sighed Yuri a little as they left the bus stop towards their next destination.

While walking, Jessica happily hooked her arms around Yuri,
enjoying the Yuri's touch.
Yuri cant help but smiled a little at her silliness.

Flashback3;

"Yul!"
"I've prepared a surprise for you!" giggled Jessica happily over the phone

"What surprise?"
"Its our 6th month anniversary today"
"Have you forgotten about it?" asked Jessica a little sad

"Oh, i didnt" lied Yuri
"Of course i didnt"

"Really?!" coughed Jessica a little

She had stayed up a few nights to prepare the surprise for Yuri, hoping that she would appreciate it as Jessica was still keen on making Yuri really fall in love with her.

"Are you sick?"
"Aniya" lied Jessica happily
"I'll see you later!"
"I'll pick you up, wait for me!"

A few hours later, Jessica brought Yuri to a restaurant,
well-decorated, with no one inside except for the people working there.

"So how Yul?"
"Do you like this?" grinned Jessica widely with a few sniffs here&there

"Sica, whats the special occassion today?" asked Yuri confused
"You really dont remember it..?" asked Jessica slightly disappointed

"No..?”
"Is there anything i should remember..?" asked Yuri scratching her head

"Ah.. its okay then" sighed Jessica a little followed by a coughing fit

"Yah, kwenchaena?" asked Yuri worriedly as she patted Jessica's back

"Yeah.."

"Come sit over here, lets have our dinner" said Jessica as she forced a weak smile, trying to act as if nothing's wrong.

But the truth is, she cant help but felt hurt at the fact that Yuri had totally forgotten about their 6 month.
It was when Jessica started wondering, if Yuri was really serious about giving her a chance.
Later that night, when Jessica was asleep while Yuri was in the living room watching the TV,

Taeyeon came & plopped down beside Yuri

"Hey Yul"
"How's your night out with Sica?" asked Taeyeon casually

"Oh?"
"Its was okay?"

"Okay only?”
"Did you even know what day is it today?"

"I dont?"
"Why are you asking the question Sica asked me just now?"

"Are you kidding me Yul?" said Taeyon unbelievably

"Nope?"

"Yul, you gotta be kidding”
"Sica stayed up nights for planning this 6th month anniversary for you"
"And you totally forgotten about it?"
"And if you realised, because of her lack of rest, she had also fallen sick" said Taeyeon with an annoyed look
"I cant believe you didnt afford to take some time to remember such special dates" added Taeyeon with a slight sigh

"Oh its our 6th month.."
"I really didnt know.."
"Guess i've totally forgotten about it!"
"But i also didnt force Sica to do all those, making her health suffer.." shrugged Yuri casually

"Yul, you've changed so so much"
"After you've agreed on trying out this relationship with Sica, you've changed so much"
"I rather you two be best friends, then would you treat Sica better"

"I didnt?"

"You just didnt realised it yourself"
"Tell me, how much concern have you shown her as compared to the past?"
"Look, she's sick now"
"What are you doing now, watching TV?"

"You know danshin.."
"I just felt a little pressurized being with Sica.."
"I cant explain it well, but its just the inner feeling inside me" said Yuri guiltily
"I dont know how to care for her already, when our relationship became like this"
"I just felt like, we are better off as best friends.."

"Did you even tried accepting Sica..?"
"I mean, even Tiffany & I can see how hard Sica has been trying to make you love her for how she love you"
"Im sure you can feel it right?"
"Her hardwork&everything..?"

"I know.."
"Its not like im inhuman.."
"Cant feel her thoughts.."
"I also dont know whats wrong with me.."
"Should i tell Sica to give up on me?"

"I dont know about this Yul.."
"You really have to give it a serious thought about this.."
"I dont like it when you're dragging Sica down.."

While the conversation went on, Jessica who went out of her room to get a drink,
accidentally overheard everything&tears were falling down her cheeks.

"Ermm..."
"Sica.." started Yuri, trying to explain herself.

"Its okay, Yul.."
"You dont have to tell me anything.."

"You enjoy your lunch with Taeyeon, i think im heading home"
"Aint feeling so well" lied Jessica with a forced smile before heading out of the foodcourt, leaving the dazed Yuri sitting by herself at the table waiting for the return of Taeyeon.

Few minutes later, Taeyeon came back with a tray in her hands.
Putting down her tray, she waved her hands a few times infront of Yuri trying to get her attention.

"Oh you're back danshin"

"Im back like 5 minutes ago?"
"What are you thinking?"
"And where is Sica?" asked Taeyeon as she picked up her utensils

"Sica.. went home.."
"She broke up with me.." said Yuri softly

"WHAT?!"

"She said we were getting nowhere.."
"Its pointless to continue on.." sighed Yuri slightly
"I guess i did it again, i broke her heart the second time danshin"
"I really dont want it to happen, i seriously hate myself"
"For being such a loser" muttered Yuri sadly

"Yul.. i seriously dont know what to say.."
"Im really feeling sad for Sica.." sighed Taeyeon as she put down her utensils, unable to find any reason to continue eating as she
has lost her appetite.
"This is the second time you've hurt her.."

Later that day, during one of their lectures,
it was being brought up again that the students would be going through a 6 month overseas internship.

"Class, remember the first 1 week internship you all had in the international companies that was located in Singapore?"
"Now, you'll be going over to the same company for the year 3 internship"
"But the only difference is, you all will be heading over to their main branch, and there will be an in-charge lecturer going along"
"So, now i'll be flashing the names incase you all forgot which company you all worked for in year 1" announced the lecturer as he clicked a few times on his mouse while things started appearing on the screen.
"And, please let your family members know, we'll be starting the internship 2 weeks from now" added the lecturer

Excited murmurings&whisperings were heard from the whole lecture hall while Taeyeon&Yuri just sat there unmoved.

"We'll be going back to Korea for internship.." whispered Taeyeon

"What do you think?"

"Well, there's nothing much i have to say about it"
"I just want to complete the studies here&return back to Korea.." sighed Yuri

"Why?"
"Isnt Singapore pretty good too?"
"You've already lived her for 2years, now the third"

"I dont know.."
"I just miss Korea i guess.."  shrugged Yuri

"I see.."
"Well, who dont miss Korea?"
"I mean, its our birth country, right?" smiled Taeyeon comfortingly

Sitting on the bench at West Coast park that is near Jessica's school,
she couldnt help but let her tears run freely down her face while the cool breeze blows at her.
Jessica couldnt understand why Yuri just couldnt accept her as a girlfriend despite the fact that all the hardwork she done to Yuri was wasted.
Or probably not.
Its not at all wasted because Jessica wanted to do it, not getting forced or anything.
It was just done according to her own will.
There's no one to blame, but just herself.

Jessica's POV

Im just too dumb right?
To fall in love with someone who doesnt love me as a lover but only a best friend..
I know i cant get her out of my life..
Maybe..
Maybe i'll just look out for her from afar..
Helping her in any ways she might needed..
Probably, when Yul feels happy,
i will too..

I guess..?

Isnt it true that there's this saying out there, 'As long as he/she is happy, you'll also be happy too. Because you love him/her.'
