Hannie's drunk again. She knew she promised. She knew she made a pact with her friends, with Kevin, with her boss, with her company -- but she couldn't help it. There had been this ball of stress weighing her shoulders down; but it wasn't just that. The stress and exhaustion had her heart wrenching, her stomach clenching, and her mind pounding. And she knew she promised Kevin that she wouldn't get drunk again, but she did.
She felt horrible -- and it wasn't just from the alcohool tainting her system.
It wasn't her fault this time, though; she had to blame her bad luck with the disability she inherited from her family to cope with stress; the fatigue was getting to her -- to her head, seriously -- and that bottle of Jack was just waiting for her. She really couldn't blame herself. Blame Jack. Anyways, she ended up getting drunk late in the night, and though she even tried to keep it a secret from her best friend-slash-possible boyfriend, it just didn't work that way. The world was small, and she shared the same group of firends as his, so it's about he found out anyways.
She hears him opening the door to her bedroom with the spare key he probably stole from her desk top; Hannie had stumbled upon the bed a while ago, and as soon as he sees her, he comes running toward her, pulling her up before all the intake of alcohol comes rushing back up. She doesn't remember any thing, but her headaches are worsening by the second; she cloess her eyes to keep her skull from breaking.
"Do you want to sit up for a while?"
She hears him faintly, his soft angelic voice bouncing off the walls and melodiously into her eardrums. He doesn't wait for an answer however, instead dragging her to the couch at the corner of the room and lets her sit upright. Hannie leans forward and places her hands on her head, groaning distastefully at the soberness returning. Kevin sighs, running her hands through her hair, smoothing the tangles out and through. "I told you not to get drunk," he nagged her chidingly, a pout forming on his supple lips. He begins to get serious but he stops when he notices the disdainful contempt lining Hannie's expression.
"Nevermind," he choruses disappointedly, "I'll just scold you tomorrow. Just rest for now.. you need it."
"I know," Hannie groans. She speaks without even knowing it, too preoccupied with her bursting brain cells. And without even processing her next actions, she pulls Kevin close to her, snuggling her throbbing head into the junction that separated his shoulder and neck, leaning herself against hsi warm body. She hums softly, satisfied with the instantaneous comfort that radiated about her. She obviously notices the surprise that strikes him, and she inwardly smiles.
"Let's say like this for a bit," she muttered groggily. He doesn't say anything, but continues to run his hand over her hair.
Hannie's falling into sleep, drifting into the abyss of dreams that awaited her.
Hannie's still a bit awake and she could feel Kevin move beside her. She knows it's still kind of awkward that she's still in a position like this with him because it hasn't been long since the two of them started questioning their relationship, and as far as Hannie knows, Kevin isn't as touchy a person as he comes off to be on variety shows. Kevin gently attempts to push her away, but Hannie tries hard to resist it by pretending to be deep in sleep. So after a few more tender pushes, Kevin sighs, letting Hannie continue her fake slumber.
From the corner of her eyes, she sees him looking intently at her, so she quickly looks away. However, she couldn't help but not look again because for a short moment, Kevin's lips curl up into a sweet, warm smile -- so tender that it set foreign fireworks within Hannie's sensitive heart. She moves a little and she feels Kevin's hands take hold of her shoulders, though, this time, he's puller her closer to him rather than pushing her away.
Again, she mentally smiles, victory surging about her, and her headache suddenly diminishes into nothingness. Kevin tucks away stray strands of hair from her face, and although she couldn't make out of it, she could vaguely feel the softness of his lips touching her cheekbone ever-so lightly. Although as much as she wants to sneak up on him, and watch him dote on her as he thinks she's fast asleep, she really does want to sleep.
So she finally closes her eyes and try to stop herself from thinking anything any further. But just in the middle of getting her mind to quiet down and sleep, she could feel Kevin move her even closer to him and whisper:
"I could get used to you, Park Hannie."
