Anna stared at the paper in front of her, furrowing her brows as she paced the kitchen to and fro, drawing worried glances from the two dongsaengs sitting at the kitchen island-counter. "Yah, stop pacing around like that," Hannie mumbled, taking a mouthful of her cereal. "It's giving me a headache."
Kisa rolled her eyes and wiped the dripping milk from Hannie's chin with a napkin, averting her gaze to the still-pacing Anna. "What's the matter?"
"This schedule!" Normally well-mannered and poised, Anna rubbed her neck slowly and sighed, slamming the single paper flat against the counter. She shoved it over to Kisa and Hannie, who had craned their necks over to read the small fine print.
"Whoa!" Hannie's jaw dropped at the list of events they had to take care of. "We're so busy!"
"Busy with what?" Vivien bounced into the kitchen after Ava, smiling brightly. "We're busy?" she inquired excitedly. "Busy with what?"
Kisa shoved the paper into the shorter's face. "Strong Heart, Happy Together, concerts, fan signs, you name it," Kisa replied, taking in a mouthful of the muffin in her hand.
"Wow," Ava blinked, snatching the paper from Vivien's slender fingers. "And we just had our second concert last night."
Haebyeol, then, made her appearance, yawning and stretching her sore limbs. "Are you guys as tired as I am?"
Kyo Jin nodded, pouting slightly, snatching Hannie's bowl of cereal. In return, the thief earned herself a harsh glare and a soft nudge to the shoulder. "Yah --"
"I'm not 'yah'," Kyo Jin scolded playfully, a mischevious smirk lining her full lips, "it's unnie to you."
Hannie stuck her tongue out, taking her breakfast back.
"Stop." Anna rolled her eyes and skimmed through the paper again. "We have to be ready by noon today; the car's going to come at that time to take us to the studio for practice; then after, we have another concert to prepare for. That's all for today, but it'll still require a lot of focus, so rest up and be ready, araseo?"
A chorus of understanding agreement echoed throughout the kitchen as the seven girls ran swiftly through their morning routines, scurrying to and from the kitchen. In and out, from the living room to the bedrooms to the bathrooms -- who said the life an idol would be easy?
Kyo Jin slumped onto the couch, heaving tiredly, already fully dressed. "Oh my gosh. Living with six other girls is so hard!"
"And they only gave us two bathrooms," Ava grumbled, flipping through a magazine. "Hurry up!"
Five collective girls filed from the corridors and into the living area, scratching heads and rubbing necks, still obviously not awake enough. "I'm probably going to die before we get to appear on Strong Heart," Vivien pouted childishly. "Seriously, who works girls so hard over a debut?"
"You signed up for it," Ava retorted.
"I signed up for doing what I love," Vivien demurred bravely, "not to be overwhelmed by slave-drivers."
Anna nudged both of them over the heads, checking her phone. "Let's go down to the parking lot. The driver should be waiting for us."
Not one foot left the YG building... well, more like not one foot could leave.
Fans. Everywhere. With poster boards, the first debut album in hand, banners, glow sticks -- despite it being only noon - and mind that most should be in school - a crowd of girls and boys alike (some even being in uniform) had gathered around the entrance of the building. The seven ELiTE members stood awestruck behind the glass entrance, secretively relieved for the tight security measures.
"What the fu --"
A hand clamped over Hannie's mouth -- Anna's, to be precise. Seven pairs of widened eyes remained glued to the front door; unfortunately, with it being glass, the hoard of fangirls and fanboys had gathered toward the front, with even some individuals literally pressing up against the cool surface, just to steal another glimpse of the newly-debuted group.
"Ah, excuse me," Haebyeol muttered, walking to the receptionist's desk. "Is there some other way out of here besides the front entrance?"
"There is a back entrance, but I'm afraid that way is only reserved for emergencies."
Haebyeol blinked dumbly at the elderly woman in front of her. "...Mwoh? Isn't this (she gestured toward the bewildering crowd) an emergency?"
"Aniya," the woman replied with a tight smile. "I'm sorry, but I can't help you."
Hannie scratched her head. "Let's make a break for it." With a grin, Kisa slapped her maknae a high-five, nodding in agreement.
"Kinda exciting, don't you think?" Kisa added with a beam.
"Exciting until you get mauled over and terribly maimed," Kyo Jin blurted. "We can't go out there like this."
"And that's why you're going out there with us."
"Ah, Abeoji!"
Yang Hyun Suk smiled tightly at the girls before striding over to the door. With a swift move, he unlocked it, throwing himself out onto the battlefield. Whatever he said, it seemed to have greatly affected the mass of people, for they had immediately shuffled out of his way, forming a clear, straight aisle for the girls to walk through. Jiyong smiled, ruffling the girls' heads before trailing out the doors with his four members in tow; soon, each collective member of ELiTE followed their sunbae's, strolling out the door with awed faces and dazed expressions.
"There's actually a lot of people," Vivien murmured. He wide, doe-like eyes blinked at the girls extending their hands toward her.
"Just keep walking girls," Hyun Suk ordered, patting their backs individually as they stuffed themselves into van.
The girls watched Big Bang's own van drive off into an unknown direction and soon sighs and tired moans past their lips. "They're crazy!" Ava blurted. "Why are they here, waiting for us? They're supposed to be in class!"
"Those girls wanted me to touch them," Vivien mumbled incoherently. "So weird.."
"One boy tried to grab at me, too!" Kisa grumbled, huffing as she blew a strand of hair out of her face.
"One of the girls tried to grab at me! Jeez, I'm a tomboy, but not lesbian," Hannie snapped, crossing her arms.
Anna scratched her head. "We.. signed up for this?"
Before anyone could even let out a scoff, the van came to a screeching halt, sending the seven into different directions, causing some to even fall upon each other; when the car came to a complete stop, there was a mass of bodies sprawled all over each other in a disarray inside the car. Different sounds left their mouths, some , some groaning, some even yelling angrily. The driver smiled sheepishly into his rear view mirror. "Sorry, girls."
"Yah!" Hannie whined. She was shushed by Haebyeol. Hannie blew strands of hair out of her face as she rearranged herself comfortably into her seat. Instead of scolding the driver as she intentionally had tried to before, she just continued to mutter incoherent pterodactyl noises under her breath.
"What's going on?" Vivien blinked, craning her neck over the seats to stare at the driver.
The lone man simply pointed out the windshield.
Their eyes followed his finger, blinking innocent. Soon, innocent expressions fell into ones of shock and astonishment. Their studio came into view with a large group of people waitng outside -- the crowd even larger than the one that awaited outside their YG dormitory building.
"Yah!" Ava cried. "What is this?!"
"Are those all students?!"
"Woah, we're popular!"
Their eyes shuffled over the many banners and member profiles being grasped tightly in the fans' hands. They were singing, chanting, crying out at the van, standing in its way of driving or accelerating any further. "Isn't this illegal?" Kisa murmured, scratching her head.
"Dude, we're popular," Hannie mused, blinking widely. She rolled down the window and waved enthusiastically. "Annyeong!"
Before she could even hear the massive roar of fan cries, she was pulled out of earshot by her hair and thrown into the back seat, with Kyo Jin rolling up the window. "Do you want to die?" Kyo Jin whispered harshly with frightened eyes.
"We're idols; they won't kill us!" Hannie argued.
"Not intentionally!" Ava cried.
"They're like this now," Haebyeol wondered, "imagine how they'll be after our come back and such."
"I signed up for a couple of fans waiting outside our dormitories," Anna sighed, "not a hoard of delusional freaks standing in the middle of the street by our studio, willing to get run over by our van."
However, through the worrisome atmosphere, the mood lifted automatically, hearing the fans' attempt to sing to their debut track.
"But then again," Anna laughed, "I guess I underestimated an idol's job."
Hannie pumped her fist, with Kyo Jin and Vivien mimicking her. "Unnie, hwaiting. Let's go."
"Go where?" their driver inquired.
"Well, we have to practice," Ava murmured.
"But.. Abeoji never said we couldn't sign a couple of autographs before practice starts," Kisa smiled.
