“Wait…what?”

Taemin asked again, this time really not believing in what his dad was saying,

“I had a relationship with a boy before.”

Taemin took a step back.

“No way…”

Taemin’s dad looked out the large window in the living him, with a distant smile on his face.

“And, you would never have guessed that your dad had a relationship with Minho’s dad would you?”

Saemin said, a smile on her lips.

Taemin looked at his father and then back at Saemin.

“So…you’re letting me go out with Minho hyung…because you and his dad didn’t work out? No.”

Taemin’s dad snapped back to reality at what Taemin had said.

“That isn’t what I meant-“

“NO!”

Taemin said, backing out of the living room.

“I don’t want your dream on top of mine…no. NO!”

Taemin ran out of the living room and up to his bedroom and slammed the door behind him, tears streaming down his face.

“No…No…”

Taemin said, his face buried in his hands and tears dripping unsteadily down onto his clothes.

“No…No…”

*KNOCK KNOCK*

“Taemin! I didn’t mean it that way. I meant that-“

“GO AWAY! I DON’T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING YOU SAY!”

Taemin said and then rushed up and ran to his bed, crawling under his blankets and crying into his pillow.

The knocking ceased and Taemin heard his parents whisper to each other.

“You shouldn’t have told him that!”

“Well I didn’t think he would take it that way!” Taemin’s dad retorted.

“True…”

“I just wanted him to know that truth…” Taemin’s dad sighed.

“Let’s go…give him some space so he can think about things…”

Taemin heard his parents leave his door and went back to sobbing.

He didn’t want things to turn out this way.

He didn’t.

He wanted to love Minho, without burden.

He wanted to…

He really wanted to…

But he just couldn’t anymore.

He didn’t want his love to be used by his parents.

He was going to have to ignore it.

Ignore his feelings to his hyung.

Ignore his feelings to Minho.

Ignore…everything…

Taemin began to cry again.
