(Luhan/Nana) let's go for a drive
Alternate
It is love at the first sight, he thinks
He knows it the moment he sees her
Pink lips and rosy cheeks that reminds him of spring
Long golden hair that seems brighter than the sun
Long lashes and dark streaks and small gems
Sounds silly but he thinks
He thinks she’s the love of his life.
He meets her at a red light
She has her red Comet pulled up next to his old truck
He glances at her and watches
She sings along to the pop songs on the radio
He can’t hear her but feels his heart stop and forgets to breathe.
The light turns green and she drives away
And he only watches her goes until he hears a honk
“Sorry,” he mumbles but not that the driver behind can hear
He presses on the gas and finds himself missing her
But a few hundred feet later he finds her again
At another stop he pulls up next to her.
She is still singing
He is still watching
Wind blows and her hair dances in the air
To a quiet rhythm nobody can hear
And it is green again.
He meets her again at another red light
This time he falls harder for her
Something about the way she sings
The way she giggles in between
The way she catches his eyes and sends his heart racing
(as if it’s not skipping beats already)
And how she smiles at him
He smiles back a second too late and
Green.
For a while they drive together
Enjoying the sun enjoying the air
Then the road diverges and she
She heads straight while he makes a turn
To yet another day at work while she
She heads home where her heart is
To a better man than him.
