Tao walked through the gates of the airport, dragging a luggage behind him.

It was the time for him to come back to China, to his hometown. He missed his family so much already; he just couldn’t wait to see them right now.

But he couldn’t understand why it felt like his footsteps had gotten heavier with each step he set deeper into the airport.

He shouldn’t mind Baekhyun anymore, but the boy was exactly the reason of his heavy steps.

That day when he arrived in Korea, it was Baekhyun who gave him the first greeting on the airport, it was Baekhyun who asked him out to dinner first, it was Baekhyun who accompanied him for the first time strolling around Han River, it was Baekhyun who planted the first kiss on his lips.

And when he broke up with Baekhyun, he thought it would be easy to just forget the boy. But it wasn’t. It was never easy in the first place.

As the call to the passengers echoed inside the airport, he stood up from his waiting seat, hesitantly looking back to all the past memories he had experienced with that certain boy. Tears emerged easily for him, but he tried to blink them back, wiping the liquid that managed to leak from his eyes, all the while burying the hope for the boy to run after him, claiming him back, deeper in his heart.

And so he moved on.
