Chapter II: The Project

“Ah finally, I’ve done the concept of this story, I’m gonna present this to the team and if they agree on it. Then it is the start of this movie project.” Sooyoung was alone in her private room, turning her swivel chair while reading her presentation at the same time waiting for the group. “Why are they taking so long?” While looking at her wristwatch. After, a couple of minutes the door was open and it was Taeyeon with the crews. “Good morning, Soo.. Sorry, if we take so long since I gathered our staffs first before heading here.” “Oh Tae, welcome!” Sooyoung stood up on her swivel chair to greet and welcome Taeyeon and the group. “Oh that’s alright Tae. Now, have a seat guys.” As she pointed them at the rectangular table with chairs around it, all of them sat on the desired chairs wherein Taeyeon chose to sit on the centre of the table facing the front screen while Sooyoung chose to stand near the screen for she’s the one who will do the opening and the one who will be discuss the meeting. “So what’s the meeting all about, Miss Sooyoung?” Taeyeon asked Sooyoung formally although everyone knew that they were friends but during this meeting or any work related they’re formal with each other. “Oh yes, Ma’am. As you can see on the table, those were the copies of the outline of our upcoming movie.” Sooyoung explained while directing them to open and read the papers she gathered and arranged awhile ago. And they followed Sooyoung’s instructions then Sooyoung continue to talk while presenting the topic through a slideshow in front of them. “As you can see, these were my ideas regarding the said project. On page 1, is all about the concept of the story. What genre should be focus with? Do we have to be balance in every genre or should be focus on one? Since we are lacking of time and of course we will be depending on the given financial plan. What kind of genres will be more popular this month? While on page 2, the title of the story but if we cannot agree on what kind of story we will produce, or what concept it will be. We cannot create or make any title story because we all know that it must be contingent on the concept, the idea of the said story. And lastly, on page 3, the rough draft of the story together with the characters, the venue, everything. However, without the final decision regarding the page 1; we cannot even advance on page 2 and page 3. So, here we are gathering to deliberate these major three topics. And I hope that we have the outcome, our final decision today for we all know that we are running out of time.” Sooyoung finished her explanation while the other were listening at the same time reading Sooyoung’s presentation then Taeyeon stood up and made a talk. “Well done Miss Sooyoung. Anyways, I’m all agreed to Sooyoung’s idea. It is better to discuss these topics as group not as individuals though we have an individual tasks but our aims and goals were the same so who will share first?” Taeyeon opened up the forum. Then one of the assigned scriptwriters raised her hand. “May I speak Madam?” “You may.” Taeyeon approved her request. “Thank you.” While bowing in front of everyone then continue to talk. “As a scriptwriter, we can only write and make scripts depending on the concept but since we are out of time may we request the body that may we first concentrate on one genre however must be popular or eye-catch to the public?” “We second motion.” Everyone agreed on the idea. “As everyone agreed, first we will discuss when should we open this on public? When will be the advertisements? The trailers? So that, we can measure our time with our tasks.” Taeyeon talked again, so the crew went on thinking when suddenly Sooyoung raised her hand. “May I speak on the behalf of the group madam?” “You may.” Taeyeon simply answered. Then Sooyoung continued to talk. “Regarding with the date, I’ve been thinking that what if we will finish this movie project by the end of January since today is December 1st we will have a lot of time to finish it however there are lot of sacrifices will be made since month of December is a month for the family, Christmas Holiday. The reason why I’ve come up this idea because in my opinion, what if we open this movie in public by first week of February and be on cinema by 14th and so on until the end of the said month. I therefore conclude that, our 3D movie project will be typical love story since February is a lover’s month, celebrating a Valentine’s Day. And it will be more uniquely romantic if it is a 3D movie animation project, much cheap since we can create original characters on it and we have already dubbers here than paying talent fees for actors and actresses.
