~No POV~
Marya had fallen asleep on the cold grass in Yongnam’s arms. He let his arms stay around her thin frame and stared up at the stars. He thought back over the words she had spoken to him, about her apology. It didn’t feel right to hear her apologize. Technically, she had done nothing wrong. Marya was just living out her dream, and Yongnam had made her feel guilty about choosing it.
Yongnam lowered his head and let his eyes roam over her face. She had lost a lot of baby fat in her face and it seemed she had grown even more beautiful. Her hair was long and silver with a blue hue. Yongnam could only assume that this was for their closest comeback.
He reached out and placed the back of his fingers on her cheek. They were flushed from drinking too much and he chuckled. Besides being an obnoxious drunk, she was also adorable. Marya was someone who was very reserved. She calculated every move twice before making a decision.
But when she drank, all her reason went out the window. She was more outgoing and didn’t care what people thought of her. It was dangerous because she would diss someone without blinking an eyelash. Yongguk and Yongnam had to save her from getting beat up a few times because she couldn’t control her tongue.
Yongnam reminisced. He reminisced what it was like for him before Marya, before Zelo, and then, before their fame. He realized as people appeared in his life, things got better, but then as soon as they all left things got worse for him. He sighed and let his arms fall slack from around Marya.
The last thing he wanted to do was make Marya feel guilty for leaving him all alone. Technically, Yongnam was the one who pulled away in the end. He could have stayed in her life but instead, threw a tantrum and refused to meet with any of them for many years.
And now, fate had played a cruel hand and flung them all back into his life. Although, he wasn’t complaining. Because having Marya in his arms now was the thing he’s dreamed about since their departure. He’s longed to hold her again, to know she’s really there.
Until she leaves again. But it’s up to Yongnam to make sure they don’t break apart like last time. He had agreed to start fresh with Marya, and start fresh he would. He wouldn’t let Marya slip from him life again.
In the middle of the night, Yongnam finally came home. Marya was in his arms and he was careful not to wake anyone, or her, up. He climbed the stairs and quietly entered his room. He thought no one would realize they were gone but he found Yongguk waiting on them, sitting on his bed.
He eyed Marya’s sleeping form before standing up and letting Yongnam place her on the bed. He slowly tucked her in, worried about Yongguk’s coming wrath. Yongnam had a temper, but Yongguk had a temper. They could easily rival each other.
“When need to talk.” Yongguk frowned and nodded to the door. Yongnam brushed some hair from Marya’s face and followed his brother downstairs. Yongguk walked to the kitchen and poured himself, and Yongnam, a glass of water. “Sit.”
Yongnam decided it was best to just listen to his brother. He didn’t know where this conversation was going, but was a little worried. He watched Yongguk sit down and slide the other glass of water to him.
“How have you been?” Yongguk started.
Yongnam raised an eyebrow. “Don’t beat around the bush and just ask what you want.” Yongnam had no patience for small talk.
Yongguk pursed his lips and stared at his glass. It seemed he was still trying to get his words together. He cleared his throat and took a sip of water. “Don’t play with her.” He coughed out.
“What?” Yongnam wasn’t sure he quiet understood what his brother said.
