The next few days at the hospital seemed the happiest time for Onew and Key.

Onew had stayed over, looking after Key and at times, their friends would visit them with Key’s favorite flowers or a basket of fruit.

A week later, Key was allowed out of the hospital.

As he packed up his things he felt a pair of hands wrap around his thin waist and a chin fell on gently onto his shoulder.

He smiled at himself but didn’t stop what he was doing.

When he was done and was about to turn around Onew wouldn’t let him.

“Hyung…” Key began.

“Shh…” Onew whispered and neither of them said anything for a moment.

That is, until Key’s mobile rang.

“Yeboseyo?” He said into his, Onew’s hand tightening itself even more around Key’s waist.

“Hi. Is this Kibum-ssi?” An unrecognizable voice said through the receiver.

“Ne…and who are you?” Key replied.

“I’m Sae Young.”

Key froze.

It was her.

“Did you want something?” Key asked, now cautious.

“Do you have some time right now? I would like to have a chat with you…”

Key stared at the wall in front of him for a moment, not saying anything.

“Now?”

“Ne.” She replied.

“Where?”

After Sae Young had told Key where to meet her, Key hung up.

“Who was it?” Onew whispered to Key’s ear.

Key instantly replied.

“Kyuhyun. He wanted to speak with me privately.”

Key turned around to face Onew.

“Do you mind if you take my things home for me and then I’ll meet you at school when I’m done doing something?”

Onew looked at Key.

“Why don’t I just go with you seeing as I know Kyuhyun as well?”

Key smiled up at Onew and shook his head.

“I want to go by myself…”

Onew pouted and then nodded.

He reached pass Key and picked up his sports bag with all his things inside.

“Kaja.”

Key smiled.

Onew was always really understanding and he didn’t like the feeling of lying to his trusting and understanding boyfriend but he had to.

He needed to.

When they were in the taxi that had been waiting outside the hospital, they began to go in the direction of Key’s home.

Half way through though, Key stopped the taxi and got out.

Onew looked at Key, worried.

“I’ll be fine arraso? I’m not a kid anymore hyung.”

Onew nodded reluctantly.

“Call me if you need me arraso?” Key smiled and nodded.

He slammed the door closed and watched as the taxi with his boyfriend, left, making more and more distance between them.

Key sighed and then walked in the direction of Seoul Park where Sae Young had said to meet up.

When he entered though, he was suddenly grabbed by a hand on his mouth.

He began to struggle but the hand over his mouth stopped his and his gaze began to waver.

As he felt himself drop to the ground, he saw the snickering face of Sae Young and he knew that he had been tricked.

He tried to get his phone but his conscience was leaving him.

His eyes closed and he out.

Again.

Key began to slowly get up.

Suddenly, he realized that his hands and feet were bound together.

A hand from no where suddenly reached  out and grabbed his chin.

His face got turned from one side to another and a familiar voice said,

“What does Onew oppa see in you…?”

Key suddenly smirked.

“Obviously he see’s nothing in you.”

His head suddenly snapped to the side and his right cheek stung after a second of the impact.

He smirked and then turned his face back towards where the hand had shot out from.

“And I absolutely know why.”

*SLAP*

Key’s head slapped towards the other side now and he didn’t say anything.

He turned his face back towards the hands again and could feel a small trickle of blood coming down his lips.

“What did you want to talk to me about?” Key asked.

He wanted to go to school, to see Onew again.

Key saw slowly, Sae Young began to walk forward, into the light.

She was wearing short shorts with killer heels and a shirt that was revealing too much for comfort.

“Let’s make a bet.”

Key looked up at the smirking face of Sae Young and smiled.

“You don’t want to do that.” Key replied.

She cocked her head and bent the top part of her body down so that her eyes were at the same level of Key’s eyes.

“And why not?”

Key continued smiling.

“Because I usually win.”

Sae Young was expressionless for a second and then, she laughed.

“Omo! How confident.”

Suddenly, she stopped laughing.

“I want to know who Onew oppa will ask to the dance tomorrow night.”

Key stared at Sae Young.

“You want to make a bet…on who Onew hyung likes better?”

Sae Young clapped.

“Obviously I didn’t hit you too hard.”

Key didn’t say anything for a bit.

“So,”

Sae Young grabbed Key’s chin again and made him look at her in the eye.

“Want to bet?”

Key stared at Sae Young.

“What are the consequences?”

Key knew that every thing came with consequences.

He knew that the consequence for this bet was going to be big.

Sae Young let go of Key’s chin and walked back into the darkness.

Key watched her back disappear and her heels click against the gravel.

The clicking stopped for a bit and then it came back, becoming louder and louder.

Sa young held out a piece of paper in front of Key.

Key began to read out loud.

“If Sae Young wins, Key has to stay away from Onew forever and disappear in front of him.”

Key looked up at Sae Young’s face.

“This doesn’t say what happens if I win though.”

Sae Young stared at Key and then suddenly, she laughed.

Then, as suddenly as she began to laugh, she also stopped suddenly.

She put her face right in front of Key’s and said menacingly,

“I don’t plan on losing.”
