They walked through the double doors, arm in arm. Suzy looked around, surprised at the elegance of the ballroom.

“You’re surprised, aren’t you?”

Suzy turned to look at him, surprised at his apparent knowledge of face readying.

“I guess so…”

“Fei noona likes to keep to herself doesn’t she?”

“Unnie is your noona?”

“Long family friends.”

Suzy looked around the ballroom again, intrigued by the lights, the tables, the chairs, the dancing people – everything.

“I knew she was rich but…”

Wonho put a finger on his lips, shushing her.

“You talk a lot, don’t you?”

Suzy froze, surprised at his coolness. Satisfied, Wonho put his finger off and smiled widely, making Suzy fawn slightly.

“Come; forget everything and just have fun.”

Suzy locked her arm in Wonho’s once again and they walked into the ballroom, watching for anybody that they knew. The two turned around, hearing a call behind them.

“Suzy-ah!”

“Ah…Fei unnie.”

“Happy birthday noona.”

They both handed the gifts to Fei, who smiled and accepted them gratefully.

“Got to go! You two, get closer together.”

Suzy could swear she saw a glimmer in Fei’s eyes. But it wasn’t in happiness. It looked like it was evil, menacing and threatening. Fei left with a wave, walking towards her mother.

“Refreshments?”

Suzy nodded at Wonho’s request and they walked over to the refreshments table, Wonho grabbing a biscuit and Suzy reached for a glass of wine.

“You drink?”

Wonho looked at her, genuinely surprised, seeing her sip the top of the glass slowly. The question seemed too familiar; she had definitely been asked this before.

“I like it.”

“Really? You don’t seem like the type to drink.”

“It calms you down. It’s nice to get drunk every so often.”

He raised his eyebrows at her, still interested in her.

“Don’t get drunk today. I don’t want to take a corpse home. Especially if she’ll be talking about I don’t want to hear the whole way.”

“Hey!”

Suzy slapped his shoulder and gave him a glare. Wonho slapped her back lightly, leaving the two with giggles. In the background, seeing the two fooling around, Fei smirked. They’re getting closer.

Fei hooked her own arm around her own date, and looked up at him innocently. She groaned, hearing her phone ring in her handbag. She planned to ignore it, until it began to disturb her so much that she wanted to snap her phone in two.

“Wait a sec. I need to get this.”

She stood up from her chair in an angry matter and went outside to the courtyard area.

“What the is it?!”

“I-I just wanted to say happy birthday Fei noona.”

“O-Oh. It’s you. You should un-private your number. I thought you were someone else.”

“I guess I should…happy birthday anyway. Sad you couldn’t throw one of your giant parties.”

“Yeah…I’m pretty bummed. Mum’s upset.”

“Where are you?”

“At home. In my room of course.”

Fei quickly compromised her next words, trying to be as unsuspicious as possible.

“I’ll come and visit you.”

“…Don’t! Last time, mum caught you!”

“It’ll be worth seeing you noona.”

“I-I’m going out.”

“I’ll  meet you then.”

“I’m going…on a walk. You might not meet me.”

She heard the person on the other end sigh.

“Well…I’ll see you another time.”

Don’t lie to me noona. Why are you avoiding me?

“Love you noona.”

“Love you too.”

Fei rolled her eyes and shut her phone. Argh. So annoying. Wait…who is he anyway? She shook her head, trying to find the name. Failing, she stopped trying and entered the ballroom again, kissing her date on the cheek.

“Sorry for taking so long.”

“It’s so stuffy in here Wonho oppa.”

Suzy stopped in her place, realizing that she had accidently called Wonho ‘oppa’. Maybe it was the fact that she had found him so friendly, she just assumed calling him ‘oppa’ was acceptable. He was so lively and easy to approach – unlike Myungsoo. Myungsoo was the mysterious type; he didn’t let out his feelings so often. Wonho saw her thinking and almost immediately, he realized why.

“Took you a while.”

“Hmm?”

“To call me oppa.”

“So…it’s ok?”

“Course. Let’s go outside then. Get some fresh air.”

They stepped outside into the courtyard where Fei was previously. Suzy shivered from the slight cold drifting her way. Wonho noticed this and took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. Suzy couldn’t help but smile at his gesture, as cheesy and cliché as it sounded. Then it hit her – Wonho reminded her of Myungsoo.

“You warm enough. It’s cold today.”

“Oppa. Stop it. You say that all the time.”

“Since you always wear so little.”

“A girl likes to feel pretty, for your own information.”

Myungsoo smirked after seeing Suzy shudder. He took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. Suzy felt thankful for his care, but she couldn’t help but shudder a bit more at Myungsoo’s player tactics.

Suzy then realized – she wanted Myungsoo’s jacket on her shoulder, not Wonho’s. It just seemed that she liked Wonho’s presence because he reminded her of Myungsoo. His sweet actions and the way he even looked like Myungsoo made her just think of Myungsoo more. Even though they somehow had contradicting personalities at times, she found herself thinking of Myungsoo’s in and exterior more often than Wonho’s.
