Jennie found herself backstage at an awards show. She heard Wendy’s laugh and she knew she had to go to the Red Velvet main vocalist. As she was walking faster to get to Wendy, her heart broke at the sight.

She saw Wendy and Irene holding hands, smiling at each other, and looking like a couple.

Jennie started to tear up on how Wendy looked at Irene.

“Seungwannie…”

The Red Velvet members looked at each other in confusion.

“Hello Jennie-ssi,” Wendy smiled awkwardly and bowed slightly. “Can I help you with something?”

Jennie looked at her girlfriend in awe. “I just wanted to say hi and if you wanted to have a date at this new cafe I found online.” Irene glanced at her with a jealous look. Wendy looked like a deer caught in headlights and looked over to Irene.

“Uhm, Jennie-ssi. I’m flattered and all, but I’m dating Irene for the past few years.”

Jennie’s heart broke at the revelation.

“What are you talking about?” Jennie’s voice cracked.

“But we were… dating…” Jennie continued.

“Jennie-ssi, we are only acquaintances. We don’t even have each other’s number.” Wendy told her. Before Jennie can respond, Irene intervened, “Wani, Seulgi is calling us back to make our way to out waiting room. We should head back.” Wendy nodded her head and bowed to Jennie.
