Jaekyung waited in her room, glancing at the clock every few moments. She frowned slightly. It was time for her breakfast, and Madam Jung normally came at that time to deliver it.

After twenty minutes past her usual breakfast time, the door finally opened. Jaekyung sighed in relief, since she originally thought that something had happened to Madam Jung.

Her frown came back when she realized the person who came in wasn't Madam Jung at all. It was a maid called Boram. "Here's your breakfast, Jaekyung sshi." Boram placed her breakfast tray on the table, not meeting Jaekyung's eyes. All the maids didn't like Jaekyung since the latter had originally been a maid but was somehow promoted to be a prince's fiance.

Jaekyung held on to Boram's wrists to stop her from leaving. She scribbled a note on a piece of paper urgently. "Where is Madam Jung?" she wrote.

Boram blinked. "Madam Jung isn't feeling well today." she told her. "Her backache's recurring again. She's resting in the maid dorm now." Boram bowed and left, muttering something about old maids and their stupid health.

Jaekyung paled as she quickly put on a jacket and hurried to the maid dorms. She loved Madam Jung like a mother, and she cared deeply for her even though they weren't blood related or anything. She hoped Madam Jung would be alright.

When Jaekyung pushed through the doors of the maid's dorms, the other maids whose s had not begun immediately turned to look at her with displeased looks on their faces.

"What is she doing here?"

"Is she here to show off her new clothes and her new boyfriend?"

"So what if she's Prince Yongguk's fiance? She had been a maid before!"

Jaekyung ignored their comments and went straight to Madam Jung's room. She knocked on it lightly and heard a cough from inside. "Come in."

She pushed the doors opened urgently and saw Madam Jung laying on the bed stiffly, unable to get up. Tears welled up in her eyes as she approached Madam Jung, putting a hand on the latter's shoulder.

Madam Jung opened her eyes slowly and was surprised to see Jaekyung. "Jaekyung ah?" She tried to sit up but her back was really aching madly. Jaekyung shook her head and made her lay back down again to rest. "What are you doing here, Jaekyung? You're royalty now, you're not supposed to come to some place like this."

Jaekyung made a face and took out a pen and paper she always brought along with her. "I heard you weren't feeling well." she wrote. "Is your back hurting really bad?"

Madam Jung forced a smile. "It's okay. It's not that bad." she assured. "It's just that yesterday the Head Mistress made me scrub her room twice from ceiling to the ground, and I think my body can't take it anymore."

Jaekyung frowned as she huffed angrily. *That woman shouldn't have done that! Madam Jung isn't feeling well!* she thought.

Madam Jung held onto Jaekyung and made her sit down again. "It's okay, Jaekyung. Just some old ailments. It'll pass." she assured. But Jaekyung didn't miss Madam Jung's pained expression when she just shifted slightly on her bed, moving her back. It seemed like it was some serious ache.

"Turn around. I'll help you massage your back." Jaekyung offered, writing on the paper. Madam Jung's eyes widened. "There's no need to! I'm fine, really Jaekyung. It's just some old-"

Jaekyung sent madam Jung a look that told the latter that she didn't accept anything other than her cooperation. Madam Jung smiled at her warmly and sat up with her help, her back facing Jaekyung. "You're really a nice girl, Jaekyung." Madam Jung commented. "If only I had a daughter like you."

Jaekyung beamed brightly as she began massaging Madam Jung's shoulders. She felt that the muscles were tensed from years of work and no proper rest, and she felt depressed at how Madam Jung still had to do such physically demanding work when obviously she wasn't capable of it anymore.

She pressed down Madam Jung's back gently, making Madam Jung sigh in contentment. While using one hand to massage her back, Jaekyung used the other hand to send healing waves onto Madam Jung's body. The silver beams of light exited from her palm and into Madam Jung's back, soothing her tight muscles. Jaekyung smiled softly to herself, happy that she was able to help Madam Jung.

She spotted an ugly scar on Madam Jung's shoulder blade and winced. Madam Jung caught her looking and sent her an assuring look. "It doesn't hurt that bad now." she assured. "It's just caused by some chaotic event in the past where my sister actually betrayed me. But it's fine now."

Jaekyung looked at Madam Jung sympathatically and began sending more healing waves into the latter's body.

Soon, Madam Jung was able to walk about freely and her back felt good as new. She smiled warmly at Jaekyung and took her hands in hers. "Thank you so much, Jaekyung. You're such a nice girl." Jaekyung blushed pink and nodded, waving the matter away as if it wasn't of much importance.

They were soon chatting along like old friends, (if you call Madam Jung talking and Jaekyung writing a form of communication). Jaekyung felt this connection with Madam Jung since the first time they met. It was as if they had known each other for a long time. *I wonder why Madam Jung came to work as a maid here.* Jaekyung thought, but decided not to probe.

The door suddenly opened and both women stiffened in shock. In came a cheerful blonde with a tray, beaming brighter than the sun. "Annyeong Jaekyung noona~ Madam Jung~ Healthy breakfast delivery here~~" Zelo sang.

Jaekyung blinked at him in surprise. *You do know this is the maid's dorm right? For WOMEN?* she thought sarcastically.

Zelo made a pouting face. "Aww noona." he puffed his cheeks. "I went to your room and didn't see you there! Did you know how frightened I was? And I saw your breakfast was uneaten on the table too! I thought some guy kidnapped you or something!"

Madam Jung looked at Jaekyung. "You came even without eating your breakfast?" she frowned in a motherly manner. Jaekyung waved the matter off and peeked at what food Zelo had brought.

Zelo proudly presented his hardworks. "Here's a bowl of chicken ginseng soup for Madam Jung since she isn't feeling well~" Zelo beamed at Madam Jung before smiling brighter at Jaekyung. "And here's your sandwich made my yours truly, and some cherry tomatoes! Don't you love cherry tomatoes, noona?" he asked cutely, popping one into his mouth.

Jaekyung giggled and shook her head, taking a bite off her sandwich. Zelo smiled and watched her eat, a sense of satisfaction washing over him. Unknownst to him, Madam Jung was watching him watch Jaekyung.

She recognized the familiar glint in his eyes as he watched the girl, the glint that was present whenever someone was in love. *The way he looks at me is like how Il Hyun looked at me.* Madam Jung thought. *But he's just going to get hurt. Not only is she engaged to Prince Yongguk, but also, she already has someone she loves. Hope you figure that out, Zelo.* she thought.

Zelo was too preoccupied with Jaekyung to bother about what Madam Jung was thinking. He missed her thoughts despite Madam Jung thinking fairly loudly. He had peeked through the door previously and had seen Jaekyung healing Madam Jung's back without letting the latter know.

He smiled to himself at her kind acts. *Lee Jaekyung. You're like the most perfect girl I've ever seen. Pretty, Kind and Innocent. Just like an angel.* he thought sweetly. *Prince Yongguk's so lucky to have you.*
