Jong-Kook opened his eyes slowly and his eyelid felt so heavy. He moaned in pain softly and began massaging his temple as his head throbs a little. He tried to look around and saw the familiar room. It’s his room. Wait. He remembered that he was battling with her stubbornness under the rain but how come he’s in his own room. He rubbed his eyes as his vision blurred a little. He looked at his clothes and he’s in his pajamas. He remembered clearly that he was soaked in rain. However, it feels like a dream when he could see his wife beside him.

Jong-Kook’s lips curled up naturally when he saw Ji-Hyo was sleeping soundly. Did she take care of him the whole night? Did she decide to forgive him? He could see the dark circles under her eyes that he didn’t have heart to wake her up. She must have been so tired. Is this how it feels to wake up beside your loved ones? He couldn’t really describe how it feels but he’s sure that his heart feels so warm by just looking at her sleeping face.

However, it didn’t take long as Ji-Hyo started to open her eyes as well. She stretched her body before getting up to sit on the bed. She glanced at Jong-Kook and she almost shrieked when she could see that Jong-Kook was staring at her without blinking. She didn’t say anything but to put her palm on the surface of his forehead.

“Thank God the fever has gone.” She sighed in relieve.

Smile still couldn’t leave Jong-Kook’s face as he found his wife is so lovely. He approached her and sat beside her as he leans on the headboard. “Am I forgiven?”  He smiled teasingly.

Ji-Hyo’s expression was rather flat as she began removing the comforter away. “It’s 8 and don’t skip your breakfast.” She said and get up from the bed.

Jong-Kook’s heart hurts a little when he saw that Ji-Hyo still doesn’t want to look at him. He exhaled softly and get up from the bed as well. “Are you not staying?” He asked again. Fear is so visible in his tone.

Ji-Hyo stopped her steps and bit her lips nervously. She was very panic yesterday that she didn’t even give So-Min any notice that she was driving Jong-Kook home. It’s quite impossible to bring Jong-Kook to So-Min’s apartment. Ji-Hyo has troubled her enough for 2 weeks and she doesn’t want to trouble her best friend even longer.

“I need to get something done. As for your clothes, Se-Chan was the one who changed it.” She replied and walked towards the door.

Ji-Hyo could feel a pair of big arms are circling through her waist. The butterflies in her stomach started to swarm and her heart began to pound rapidly.

“Don’t go.” Said Jong-Kook with his husky voice.

Please don’t treat me this way, I might break down soon.

His hug was so tight that she can barely move. She could feel his protective touch and it feels like it could really drive her insane when she could feel his chin is resting on her shoulder.

“I’m not going anywhere.” She replied softly.

Jong-Kook slowly let go of his hand and stood in front of her. He smiled gently and his fingers are tucking several strands of her hair behind her ears. “Please promise me that you will not leave again.”

Ji-Hyo looked down as she gathered all of her courage to look at the man in front of her. “Do you really mean what you said yesterday?” She asked as she remembered the alcohol scent on his shirt yesterday. He might be drunk and turned into a beast in the next second. She doesn’t want another false hope anymore.

Jong-Kook chuckled sadly. “I will have my way to make you trust me.”

Ji-Hyo felt a little uneasy. She really wanted to trust him. “Are you sure you won’t turn into an iceberg in the next second?” She asked disbelieve.

Jong-Kook couldn’t help but to laugh. “I have killed that iceberg. Now, it’s just me, your husband.” He replied as he her cheeks gently. “I used to tell myself that I shouldn’t have fall in love anymore but you are way more addictive than any kind of drugs which make me fell on my own trap. You have always been so sincere towards me although I hurt you repeatedly and I won’t deny anymore that it melts my frozen heart.” He added.

Ji-Hyo felt like her tears were so ready to stream down again. He sounded so sincere like he really means every single words that came out from his lips.

“The night when I saw you with Park Si Hoo, I was so angry that I feel like something is digging into my flesh that I feel like I really wanted to kill him straight away from hurting you.” Said Jong-Kook.

Ji-Hyo sighed softly. “It was my fault.” She admitted.

Jong-Kook smiled. “I’m listening.”

Ji-Hyo inhaled another deep breath before she’s going to explain everything to Jong-Kook. “I received a call from him. It has exceeded the bar’s operational hours but he was drunk that he refused to go home. I wouldn’t lie that I was so worried because he saved my life once that I couldn’t just ignore him like that.” She said as she bit her lips hardly because she can feel tears are rolling down through her eyes already as she doesn’t dare to imagine what will happen to her if Jong-Kook didn’t appear on time.

Jong-Kook really couldn’t stand her tears and began pulling her to lean towards his chest and to cage her in his embrace. “It’s okay. You can tell me slowly.” He said as his palm is brushing through her hair gently.

Ji-Hyo sobs badly on Jong-Kook’s embrace as she started to feel guilty. “I really don’t have any intention to go back to him. I only wanted to help.”

Jong-Kook’s heart ached when he could feel that her tears started to wet his pajamas. He couldn’t stop her hair as she’s still sobbing and her shoulders are trembling badly. “I’m sorry if I’m accusation hurt you.” He replied. Just where did his rebellious girl go? He remembered that she was a cheerful girl before they get married but after they get married, how many times did he make her cry in front of him?

Ji-Hyo slowly let go of Jong-Kook once she felt calmer and she could feel that he’s erasing her tears with her thumb gently.

“Stop shedding your tears. It hurts me too.” Said Jong-Kook. He was an arrogant and reluctant man but he feels like he’s enchanted ever since he met her. Is this even possible?

Ji-Hyo’s lips curled automatically upon his words. However, something came to her mind that made her look at Jong-Kook immediately. “How could you find out that I was there? I mean it was a huge hotel and there are a lot of rooms and I thought your flight back to Seoul is supposed to be the next morning.” She asked curiously.

Jong-Kook couldn’t help but to chuckle a little. “My work finished faster than prediction that I booked the last flight that night. I was so anxious and worried when I couldn’t find you anywhere. You were so emotional that you didn’t even realize that Se-Chan was there too.”

Ji-Hyo’s eyebrow narrowed just then. “Yang Se Chan was there? He was following me?”

Jong-Kook nodded his head lightly. “Do you know how angry I was when I saw the shirtless Park Si Hoo with you underneath him?” Of course he’s angry. They have been married for several months already that he has never touch her even once that it feels so torturing.

Ji-Hyo sighed sharply as she really didn’t want to remember it any longer. “I am sorry. Thank you for arriving on time. I don’t dare to imagine what will happen if you and Se-Chan was not there on time.”

“So, Am I forgiven?” Jong-Kook asked again as he gave her his widest smile.

Ji-Hyo couldn’t help but to laugh a little. Is this really the cold and the arrogant that she met 6 months ago? “Let’s have our breakfast.” She replied as she’s trying to change the topic.

Jong-Kook rolled his eyes. “Ya! You are not answering me.” He protested.

“I’m hungry.” She insisted.

Jong-Kook reached her waist just then and pull her towards his chest one more time. He looked deep into her eyes as if trying to say that he means every words that he’s going to say. “Don’t you know how frustrated I was?”

Ji-Hyo dared herself to look at him in the eyes too. “You are cheating. You purposely waited under the rain so that I will feel pity towards you.” She said.

Jong-Kook smiled in embarrassment as it was a truth. He could wait inside his car but he chose to wait under the rain because he knew that her heart will be weaken if he did so. “I was planning to wait outside. I don’t know that it’s going to rain.” He replied.

Ji-Hyo pinched his arm just then. “Liar.”

Jong-Kook moaned in pain and acted like it really hurts but in fact it didn’t even feel anything. “It hurts.” He whined.

Ji-Hyo didn’t bother but to pinch his other arm. “Stop acting. Your muscles are too thick and hard that I’m the one who hurt myself for pinching you.”

Jong-Kook laughed a little. “So, am I forgiven?” He asked one more time.

Ji-Hyo look at him and her fingers are running through his bulging cheeks. This is her moonlight oppa. How could she hate him when all she did was just loving him? How could she hate the person who she wished to meet all this time? Ji-Hyo nodded slowly and smiled at him.

**

“Ha Dong Hoon-Ssi?”

Ji-Hyo gave a friendly smile when she saw the familiar figure is sitting on the couch in the living room. She knew that this man is Jong-Kook’s best friend.

Dong-Hoon smiled back. “Annyeonghaseyo, hyungsoo-nim.” He greeted.

Ji-Hyo chuckled when she heard how Dong-Hoon called her. “Please, just Ji-Hyo.”

Dong-Hoon could sense that this woman is very different compared to all of the women that Jong-Kook has ever dated. She’s so friendly and lovely that it feels like she can click with anyone in short period of time. “Ah yes. Is hyung at home?” He asked.

Ji-Hyo sat on the couch across from Dong-Hoon. “I think he’s taking his shower. I will tell him in advance that you are here.” She replied. “Dong-Hoon-Ssi, perhaps did you have your breakfast already? Ahjumma cooked a little too much today.” She offered again.

Dong-Hoon chuckled a little upon her politeness. “It’s okay, Ji-Hyo. I won’t be long.” He replied in a friendly tone as well.

“How long have you know your hyung?” She asked suddenly.

Dong-Hoon’s eyes narrowed when he heard her question. “Quite long. We have known each other for 20 years.” He replied.

Ji-Hyo’s eyes widened. It’s 2 decades. “You must have known him very well.” She looked very surprised.

Dong-Hoon nodded his head lightly. “Too well indeed because we grew up together.”

“You grew up together? You lived in France too?” She asked again curiously.

Dong-Hoon shook his head. “We grew up in the same orphanage.” He replied.

Ji-Hyo looked a little puzzled. “Orphanage?”

“We first met in the orphanage and when he was adopted and moved to France, we still keep in touch. He looked for me right away when he came back to Korea. Hyung is a very loyal and reliable friend. He might be slightly cold and arrogant but I can guarantee you that he is a not a bad person.” Said Dong-Hoon as if he’s trying to convince her about Jong-Kook’s sincerity.

Ji-Hyo let out a light smile. “Then, you must know about his fiancé.” She said weakly. She has been so curious about his fiancé but yet too scared to ask him.

Dong-Hoon sighed upon hearing about that. “Hyung loved her and felt so desperate when she went missing on their wedding day.”

Hyung loved her

Why it sounded so suffocating for her? Will he really love her like how he used to love his fiancé? It felt like a big lump is stuck on that she couldn’t say anything.

“But I can guarantee you that hyung has totally let go of her.” Dong-Hoon added again when he's aware of her sorrowful expression. Gosh, he shouldn't have say that.

Ji-Hyo turned her gaze back to Dong-Hoon. Could she believe this guy? “How can you be so sure? He stated it so clearly in the beginning that he doesn’t do ridiculous stuff like falling in love.”

Dong-Hoon grinned upon hearing what she said. “He is so smart and quick-witted when it comes to business but I can tell you that my hyung is quite stupid if it’s about love. Did you remember that he send you flowers every single day when you ran away from him?” Asked Dong-Hoon as he’s still smiling.

Ji-Hyo nodded her head. “15 stalks of red tulips.” She couldn't help to smile when she remembered the flowers that he sent.

“He was very frustrated and little did you know, he didn’t even do that to Han-Byul.”

Ji-Hyo couldn’t be more surprised. “What?”

Dong-Hoon chuckled when he could feel that she’s so freaking shocked. “He’s not the type of guy who will send flowers to his girlfriend. No matter how much Han-Byul complained to him, he’s just a guy who knows nothing about romantic things.” He replied.

Ji-Hyo was stunned again when she remembered what So-Min told her last night. The meaning of red tulips and the meaning 15 stalks. It feels so touching somehow.

“Ji-Hyo ya, I know that the start of your marriage with hyung might not be lovely but I can tell you that hyung do start to feel something for you. His mood has been so freaking bad for the past 2 weeks and you really have no idea how many staffs that become the target of his anger.” He joked.

“That cheer me up a little. Thank you, Dong-Hoon-Ssi.” She replied as she could feel that her lips curled up automatically.

“Dong-Hoon-Ssi makes me feels so strange as Jong-Kook hyung is my very best friend.”

“Then, should I call y
