Chapter 12

Pirates Stories 2min SHINee history au

The gang of pirates walked through the castle passages following the captain, at one point they started going down the stairs to a dark room, where they stopped, no one saw anything until the light appeared out of nowhere. It turns out that Key opened some door that led to the back of the palace. "Every palace has this kind of passage," Key explained quietly as everyone passed the narrow passage. "This passage was built in case all the entrances were blocked by enemies," he said when everyone was outside and the mysterious door closed. They appeared in a large field, the palace is not far from them. Taemin and Baekhyun looked around the field in surprise.

"What now?" Baekhyun asked. "We need to get back to the ship, we can not leave as long as the Silla is in Jeju, but if Chanyeol managed to move her to the hiding place near the mountain we could stay there for the night. With this statement, the four went along the palace to reach the western part of the city and from there continue to the port.

They could see the King of the Silla sitting inside his canopy and the prince next to him sitting on his horse. Taemin, looking at the prince from a distance, did not notice that he was lagging behind, at one point Minho looked towards him and their eyes met, Tae did not know if he was imagining it or not. He quickly ran towards his team who managed to get away, none of them noticing that he was stuck in the back.

They hurried to the ship, fortunately, the group that was on the ship did its job and moved the ship from the port to a cave that was not far away and completely hid the ship. When they arrived at the port their ship was not seen in the background, there was only the great ship of Silla and its flag fluttering high, unlike the flag of the pirates which had a large diamond and bones, the flag of the Silla with large S that was shape similar to some kind of bird, and in purple and white colors.

The pirates continued towards the shore, they could start seeing the Great Cave, where their ship was. When they entered the cave everyone worked on it, the sails were folded and the ropes tied tightly, some of the pirates on the ship found a comfortable place on board where they rested, some would observe the Silla's ship, one group was nowhere to be seen. "Where is Taeyong?" Jonghyun asked as they boarded the ship. "Before the Silla arrived his crew went to fetch the supplies," Chanyeol said.

"It's not good," the captain said, "they might get caught." Jonghyun and Key looked at each other. "I'm going to help them get the supplies faster, Tae, Baek, you guys are coming with me, Jongin," he pointed out. to the one who threw knives at a target hung on the mast, "come, also, Jongdae And Dongyoung, You too," Key pointed to two more sitting on the deck playing cards, the two got to their feet taking their swords from the floor. "We'll be back as soon as possible. We'll have to stay in the cave for the night," Key said with all five of them standing behind him.

The five walked with the captain along the large stones of the cave, going out towards the pub near the harbor. Jeju's pub was much tidier than the pub in Kyongju where they were many times. Inside the pub some Shilla soldiers sat and drank slowly getting drunk, the Shining Devil pirates walked around the building to the back of the pub where the group that was supposed to bring the equipment and with them next to them helped some of Jeju’s king's people helping them load as much as possible on their hands. "Jong," Key told the man That when he saw him his eyes sparked and he went to hug the captain he had not seen for a long time. "The Silla is here," Key warned the team. "We know this is why we didn’t set off with everything," Taeyong said.

"We're here to help move everything without a back and forth journey," Key explained, "that way we'll do it faster." "If we are being caught, fight?" Taeyong asked and got a nod from the captain. Everyone loaded the supplies except for Key who was the one to lead the way back to the ship and be ready just in case. The group came out of the back of the pub, "Good luck Captain," Mr. Jong told them. As they passed by the front door two guards from the Silla's royal team came out, both were completely drunk. They leaned on each other, each talking about some woman mumbling and laughing about what they would do when they get home, it made chills run down the pirates’ spine.

They passed the drunken guards who fell unconscious on the floor hiccuping from time to time. Dongyoung accidentally touched with his foot one guard that immediately began to vomit and return to his senses, causing the pirate crew to hurry back. They got to the ship without being caught and breathed a sigh of relief after dropping the supplies into the ship's belly. "That was close," Dongyoung finally said, which earned him some sullen looks, "sorry," he said embarrassed. "Be more careful with where you are walking next time," Key warned him. "Yes, Captain." They began to arrange the supplies in place in the belly of the ship, equipment such as knives and arrows were taken to the crates, and the food and drinks to the ship's storage room.

Tae had nothing to do as Jonghyun and Key decided the ship would leave at night and even the next day. He decided to sneak out of the cave, he looked from a distance at Silla's ship, the royals had not returned yet but the two drunks who he had met in the pub slowly moved towards one ship dragging one another. Taemin released his hair from the tight bun and let it fly in the wind just before returning to pick it up in a lazy ponytail. He thought about cutting it so it would reach at least about shoulder height so he would still be able to tie it up but it would have to happen on the way south. The blue ribbon with which he arranged his hair fluttered in the wind and occasionally whipped his dark blue clothes, which he stole when they were in Japan.

The young pirate walked towards the city completely ignoring thoughts of what the captains would think when they found out he was gone. Some people recognized him and said hello and he smiled back. Taemin was ready for any moment when he had to hide from the royal guards roaming the area. When he heard the sounds of hooves he immediately hid in an alley that was between two houses, he watched the prince ride his horse, Choi Minho looked so good in his journey clothes, Tae thought. The prince got off his horse and looked around, it was a relatively main street where people sold creations they made and food. Minho looked at the jewelry that was made of threads and beads. "Did you make these?" He asked the owner of the stall, who nodded and did not dare to look into the prince's eyes.

"Be proud of them," he told her, which made the woman look up at him. "They are very beautiful and special," he continued. the woman bowed to him, muttering a small "Thank you." Taemin looked at the prince, he looked nice, he behaved nicely to his surroundings, and suddenly looked very different from the prince Taemin danced with at the party or fought against in the palace, which made the young pirate's heartbeat. The first time he met the prince he guessed the prince's personality, which was very different from who he really is. After the dance they shared and the fight, his thoughts changed about Choi Minho. The way the prince behaved made Taemin think that one day he would become a great king for the Silla.

From where the young pirate's stood, he saw the prince looking at the jewels, one by one, and then taking one and saying he chose it. "It has a pair," the stall lady said, "that is, I made two that match, they are to be an engagement gift but you can take one, That's okay," she lowered her head not wanting to look at the royalty in the eyes. "Then I'll take both," Minho said, taking the other one too, he gave the two bracelets to the stall lady, one she gave him to wear and the other she put in a small silk bag, he took out two golden coins, which he gave to the stall lady who looked surprised at the money she received. Minho knew that the items were cheaper but he wanted her to know how much he appreciated her handwork. "Keep the change," he said, taking the silk bag and putting it in his pocket. The prince took his horse straps and walked along the street away from the alley where Taemin stood and watched him.

Without thinking, Taemin followed the prince from a parallel street, looking at the prince in the journey garments walking elegantly along the crowded street. Taemin couldn’t look away from the royal. At one point Minho looked in his direction causing his heart to skip a beat. His cheeks turned red from locking his gaze with the prince for the second time that day. The two stopped their footsteps staring at each other, Minho standing in the middle of the bustling street looked at the pirate past the people walking there, Taemin standing on the parallel and narrower street, there was no one around him. His heart was beating faster.

Minho was the first to look away. The prince got up back on his horse and rode towards his ship, leaving Taemin to look at the air as many thoughts passed through his head.

Chapter 45: It is so sad that they had to both die. :( But it does make sense... Never would his father ever allowed them to be together. But I'm glad they might have found each other in their future lives... A bit like the drama of the Goblin. :) Thanks for a great story. :)

Chapter 41: Taemin is royalty, nice! Can't believe the king still want to capture the pirates more than he wants to defend his kingdom. I hope Minho will be able to get out and use the help of the navy.

Chapter 31: I really wonder why the King, Minho's father, care more about catching the pirates than defending them from the coming war?

Chapter 30: Taemin got himself a new friend. :P What I got from this story is that a lot of people on the Shining Devil come from high class people who run away from the live they never wanted...

Chapter 29: Wow... Jinki is Taemin's brother! And basically, Minho's dad kept Taemin's dad in the donjon so he could steal the land they own. Minho had help Taemin's dad from being execute. And he knew all along that Taemin had the other engagement bracelet and wants him to keep it. I hope they will be able to stay together. I am worried about someone noticing Taemin's presence and the King's reaction to his presence.
