When Hayoon stepped out of her room the next morning and joined Jongin and Baekhyun for breakfast, the two males were left in shock at the sight of her face. Baekhyun dropped his spoon while Jongin rushed towards Hayoon. Pulling her down on a chair, he gingerly lifted her face to check the bruise and cut. As his fingers grazed the bruise, Hayoon instinctively flinched. Baekhyun had appeared with ice wrapped in a towel and promptly placed it on Hayoon’s cheek.

With both males hovering over her, Hayoon felt a complete loss of personal space and tried to push them away, holding onto the ice herself instead.

“What on earth happened Sunshine?”

Returning to their seats, their breakfasts forgotten, Baekhyun and Jongin stared at the girl, worry overflowing from their eyes.

“Sehun’s crazy stalker. Apparently she started stalking me and decided to pay me a surprise visit last night.”

Jongin inhaled sharply while Baekhyun slammed his fist on the table.

“That idiot,” Baekhyun screeched. “He totally used you as a shield didn’t he?”

Sensing that Baekhyun was about to break into full hapkido mode to send Sehun to an early death, Hayoon threw a piece of ice at him.

“Cool it down will you?”

“This is not the time to be joking Hayoon,” Jongin interjected, his voice stern.

“Jongin’s right Sunshine, how are you being so chill about this? Why didn’t you tell us last night?”

“I dealt with it,” Hayoon replied nonchalantly. “Don’t think she’ll come back anytime soon, if ever. Like Jinyoung says, I am a terrifying person.”

Jongin exhaled in disbelief, unsure whether to commend Hayoon for her ability to retain her cool or to scold her for how foolish it was of her to not have told them about the matter the moment she returned home last night.

“This is all because of that stupid hickey I swear,” Baekhyun rambled. “That’s the root of all the problems. Because of that stupid rebound moment Sehun just latched onto you for these kind of situations.”

Rolling her eyes, Hayoon grabbed a slice of toast from Jongin’s place and stuffed it in before putting on her jacket and grabbing her bag, heading towards the door.

“I’m off, intern stuff. I’ll handle Sehun myself so don’t go on a murdering spree Baek. Jongin keep an eye on him.”

Giving them a lazy wave, Hayoon left the flat, readying herself to give Sehun an earful once she found him.

As Hayoon approached the entrance of KBS, she caught sight of a very weary looking Sehun, his eyes alert for the arrival of a certain petite girl. Once he saw Hayoon, his face morphed from one of fear to shock and finally worry.

“What even— What happened to you shortie?!?”

“Your crazy stalker happened.” Hayoon responded, giving him a long heavy stare. “I warned you last time to clean up after the mess. That did not mean having her trying to engage in a cat fight with me.”

Stepping closer to the girl, Sehun cupped her face and hovered his thumb over the bruise, not quite daring to touch it. His brows furrowed in worry, his eyes screaming silent apologies and guilt splashed across his face as he was the reason why Hayoon had to go through the whole ordeal. Placing her hand on his, Hayoon gently pushed his hand away while giving it a tight squeeze.
