Chapter Eight
Reincarnation II : No Time LeftHaving clients around really helps take my mind off of Song Eun Bi but now that they’re all gone my mind keeps replaying all the events that happened between us.
“I have to talk to her…” I got up from my chair and went for the door. When I opened it I saw that Eun Bi had too gotten up.
Were could she be going at this time? I hope she’s not leaving or something…
I looked at her trying to say something but my mind had blocked out all thoughts.
Why did I come out from my office again?
“Is there anything you want Mr. Kim? Can I help you?” no there’s nothing she can help me with and that’s really unfortunate…
I wish she could just do something to erase all thoughts, everything that I shouldn’t be thinking about her.
A vague conversation followed until I recommended going to my office so I could talk to her. I didn’t know what I was going to say or how to start the conversation but it’s better than nothing and so she followed me without questioning my intentions.
I could feel Eun Bi trying to match her steps to mine, something she does a lot. I never knew why but it didn’t really matter, she wasn’t bothering me in any way.
By now we were inside and so I turned to look at her. She too had stopped with not any particular distance from me but that didn’t bother me either, something else though did bother me on the inside.
She looked scared. It didn’t feel nice having her be afraid of me, not Eun Bi.
“You don’t have to be so afraid… I’m not going to do anything to you” She raised her eyes and the fear now replaced by surprise.
She was definitely thinking of something, lost in her thoughts yet again. Sometimes I wish I could just hear what she had inside her mind.
She thinks a lot…
“Anyways I wanted to talk about something. Sit” Eun Bi went to the chair and sat, her back turned at me. At that point I really wanted to see her face only so I could read her thoughts.
Song Eun Bi, she’s really someone with a lot in her mind and her emotions all show in her face.
I knew I had things to tell her, we had to get this done with. Although I told her to pretend this never happened it’s extremely hard to do so especially when my mind is flooded with images of that night. I don’t remember everything but all that mattered is that it happened.
“Mr. Kim…” before I could even say anything it was Song Eun Bi that started speaking. Only then did I realize I was silent for the most part. Thinking of how to start the whole conversation. “… I know exactly what you want to talk about.” she paused turning to look at me.
For the first time after knowing her, she had a blank face. This time I really couldn’t read her emotions in her eyes. She looked cold.
Something in that bothered me but I dismissed that feeling.
“It’s quite a recent event that’s why…” I walked around her sitting on my chair we were now face to face “I don’t think I can get
